Mr. M had started approaching Samantha. This time Micaela tried to make her move, getting closer to Selene once more. She visited her at home. Selene seldom went to school lately.

"Micaela, I didn't know that you are coming today," Selene mumbled in surprise the moment she saw Micaela.

She immediately pounced on Selene, hugging her tightly. "Best, I have a confession to make. Are you willing to listen to me?"

Micaela looked so sad. Selene didn't know what happened to her so she just nodded. "I also have something to tell you. Sorry, I have been so busy lately."

Selene invited her to sit down. She asked Aunt Ling to prepare snacks for them. Grandma Elysa was resting in her room. She often feels sleepy nowadays because of her medicine and treatment.

"What's wrong? Why do you look sad?" Selene asked her curiously.

"I missed you! I haven't heard anything from you for the past few days. Are you ignoring me?" Micaela asked her directly.

"No, I was just so occupied by so many things. There were lots of things that happened last week. I haven't told you yet but my grandmother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast cancer," Selene informed her.

Micaela was taken aback when she heard that. She didn't expect that Selene was undergoing such difficult times for the past few days. She really thought Selene was intentionally avoiding her.

'But what about her marriage? Was it true?' Micaela asked herself.

It did not take long when her question in her mind was answered by Selene.

"My grandmother requested me and my fiancee to do our wedding ceremony next month. I was so busy taking care of my grandma and preparing for my wedding," Selene added, handing over the invitation card to Micaela.

She had no plan of hiding her marriage from Micaela. She even included her as part of her wedding entourage. She chose her to be one of the bridesmaids.

Samantha was the one who would become her Maid of Honor while Renz chose his best friend, Arthur, to become the Best Man. Selene also included Gabriel as part of the groomsmen.

Micaela could now understand the reason why Selene suddenly decided to get married. It was a request from her grandmother who was now suffering from illness.

She felt relieved now since she thought Selene had discovered something that's why she was avoiding her. It turned out that Selene was really busy.

Selene, on the other hand, was thinking that there's no need to prevent Micaela from meeting Renz because eventually, they would still meet. It would be strange if she would not invite Micaela to her wedding.

Aside from that, she was still giving Micaela the benefit of the doubts. She was still hoping that she would remain a true friend for her. But her trust had been broken already. It was not the same as before.

Furthermore, Selene wanted to give Renz the chance of proving himself to her. He promised to her grandma that he would take care of Selene.

Everything between Selene and Renz was going smoothly so far. Renz was extra caring to Selene nowadays. He was always concerned about her health and grandma's health.

Renz was the one talking to the wedding organizer as he wanted Selene to focus more on taking care of her grandmother. He was very thoughtful and considerate of her.

Selene was still thinking about Renz when she heard Micaela's voice, catching her attention back to her.

"Selene, I have something to tell you. I hope you will forgive me for not telling you sooner."

Selene gave Micaela a questioning gaze. She became curious about what Micaela would tell her now.

"Sure, you can just tell me anything," she softly said, urging her to speak up.

"I lied to you," Micaela told her while staring into her eyes.

Selene fell silent for a moment. She wondered what her confession was all about.

"You lied about what?" Selene probed, anticipating her next words.

"I lied about not having a boyfriend. I'm sorry Selene. I was too shy to admit it to you because at that time, I wasn't sure about our relationship. He is a total jerk. A playboy!" Micaela ranted, expressing her frustrations against her so-called boyfriend.

Selene didn't know what to say when she heard that. She knew that Micaela lied to her about her relationship. Eros and Selene had discovered that she was seeing someone and that someone was Mr. M.

Selene was surprised that Micaela suddenly admitted to her that she had a boyfriend. She didn't utter any words so Micaela continued talking, telling her about her relationship.

"But I already broke up with him. He is so naughty. I couldn't stand him!"

Selene: "..."

'How can you sleep with him if you will just break up with him in the end?' Selene wanted to ask her but she couldn't.

She couldn't judge Micaela with that. It's her life. Besides, women had their own choices whether to give up their innocence to someone they loved even if that someone was not yet her husband.

"Is that the reason you look so sad?" Selene asked Micaela, holding and squeezing her hands.

She was still there for her, willing to listen and comfort her. Though Micaela betrayed her in her previous life, Selene couldn't ignore her because Micaela had been good to her when her grandmother died.

"Yes, Selene. I regretted not telling you about this."

Micaela continued telling her so-called failed relationship. She mixed some truth and lies. But she just called Mr. M as Mr. Jackson. That was the alias used by him when they met Samantha in the De La Sierra Hotel.

Selene tried her best to comfort Micaela, thinking that she was truly depressed because of the break-up.

The two ladies were still talking in the living room when someone entered the house calling Selene with his enthusiastic voice.

"Selene, I brought lots of nutritious food for your grandma. I bet she will like to eat them!"

Eros raised both hands that were holding two baskets filled with assorted fruits and vegetables. He reflexively stopped the moment he realized that Selene was not alone.

'Damn! What is she doing here? Selene's b*tch friend is also here! Now, my mood is ruined!' Eros lamented to his mind as he watched Micaela indifferently. The wide smile on Eros's face a while ago suddenly disappeared.

Micaela was stupefied when she saw Eros. He was too gorgeous to be ignored.

'Is this Selene's fiancee? This is the first time I am meeting her fiancee.' Micaela had mistaken Eros as Selene's fiancee.

Mr. M gave her another task. They were planning to stop the marriage. In order to do that, Micaela should become closer to Selene's fiancee and ruin their relationship. That was their initial plan.

Currently, Mr. M was trying to find a way wherein Micaela could meet Renz without Selene's knowledge. They would not make it look obvious that it was all planned.

Meanwhile, Selene's eyes brightened up when she saw Eros aka Gabriel. She became used to his company. For the past several days, Eros has been very helpful to her.

Selene immediately stood up to welcome Eros, checking the two baskets. "Wow, so many fresh fruits and vegetables! Grandma will definitely like them all!"

Eros immediately moved her attention back to Selene, completely ignoring Micaela's presence.

"Yes. Grandma Elysa needs to eat nutritious foods."

"Thank you, Gab! Come, give me the basket. Let me help you," Selene said, trying to get the basket from Eros's hand.

But Eros quickly moved away while shaking his head. "Selene, these baskets are heavy. Just go back there. I will put them in the fridge."

Eros was already familiar with the house so it was only natural for him to know where to put those things. He was always with Selene either as Eros or Gabriel.

Even if he was in his human form, Gabriel, he was still acting like Selene's house was his own house.

Eros signaled Selene to stay put before leaving her. He didn't even say 'Hi' to Micaela. She felt insulted for being ignored. She thought Selene's fiancee was so rude.

Since Mr. M was a little bit possessive of Micaela before, he never showed her Renz's picture, afraid that Micaela would admire his good looks.

However, his original plan changed when he heard about the news regarding Selene's and Renz's upcoming marriage. He needed Micaela's help to stop the union of the two families.

When Eros headed to the kitchen, Micaela started to ask Selene about him.

"Ahem, Best, that man a while ago, is he your fiancee?" Before Selene could reply, Micaela just continued speaking.

"Wow, you are so lucky. He is so gorgeous and very thoughtful. He is like a perfect gentleman for you. The two of you match each other very well. I'm so happy for you!" Micaela said spontaneously, assuming things between Selene and Eros.

Selene: "..." (Blushing subconsciously)
