Eros and Selene had the chance to do one on one talk since Aunt Ling and Grandma Elysa were sound asleep.

They discussed their contract and the proposed wedding ceremony between Selene and Renz next month.

"Eros, my grandma asked me and Renz to get married next month… what will happen if I marry him? Is it the end of our contract? Will you leave me?"

Selene didn't want Eros to leave so soon. She thought she could rely on Eros any time.

She was afraid to face the darkest moment of her life alone. Her grandmother's death would be that darkest moment.

She wanted Eros to stay by her side and support her. Was she greedy to think like this?

For the past few days, Eros became her comfort. His presence was enough to cheer her up, giving her a sense of security.

After a while, Eros gave her an answer.

"It depends on the situation, Selene. If Renz is already in love with you by that time, then it means we succeed with our mission."

"If he tells you the magic words from the bottom of his heart then that will be considered as mission accomplished and the end of our contract," Eros said, explaining to Selene.

The magic word Eros was referring to was 'I~ LOVE~ YOU!'. If Renz would tell Selene that he loved her, Eros could tell whether it was sincere or not.

Eros would also see the signs that his mission was already done. Even if Selene and Renz would become husband and wife, he still had an obligation to make Renz fall for Selene.

That was the only time he would disappear and be forgotten by Selene.

But seeing how Renz was treating Selene lately, Eros could feel that it would be easy to win his heart. He looked very caring towards Selene.

They just had to push it more so that Renz would finally realize that he loved Selene as a woman, not as his younger sister or a friend.

On the other hand, Selene felt relieved after hearing that. She couldn't explain but part of her was wishing that their contract would not end soon.

Though making Renz fall for her was her goal from the beginning, Selene preferred to have Eros by her side longer.

She couldn't understand herself now. It seemed that her priorities were slowly changing.

They should have started winning Renz's heart, but Selene was focusing on other things such as saving Samantha and taking care of her grandmother for the past few weeks.

For her, those two things were more important to her than pursuing and chasing after a guy.

"I'm sorry Eros but I don't want to think about our contract for a moment. My grandma needs me now. I have to take care of her," Selene said to Eros truthfully.

Eros was glad to hear that. At least, he could still be with Selene as long as they hadn't completed their mission.

"It's alright. There's no need to apologize. I understand. I'm not in a hurry as well. Just take your time. Focus on your grandmother."

Selene nodded her head with a smile. She glanced at her grandmother who was still sound asleep on her sickbed.

"What is your plan now?" asked Eros, staring at Grandma Elysa's sleeping figure.

"Grandma talked to us. She refused to stay in the hospital for treatment. She insisted on staying at home."

"So, I plan on hiring a private nurse that will help me in taking care of grandma at home. We also have a family doctor that can check her condition from time to time."

"Hmm, I think that's better. She will just feel weak if she will stay in the hospital," Eros said, agreeing with Selene.

"Tomorrow, I will bring her to the Yangche Medical Center to have another check-up. They specialize in treating cancer patients."

Eros just nodded at her. Then he saw the time. It was already 3:00 AM.

"Why don't you sleep? You need to rest too. Don't worry, I will watch over Grandma Elysa for you."

Eros urged her to sleep. He could see the fatigue on her face. She needed to take a nap.

Selene was about to disagree, but she just nodded her head obediently after seeing Eros's concerned look.

She had to admit that she felt tired after everything that happened today.

"Okay, my angel. I will take a short nap. Please take care of my grandma. Wake me up if she needs something. Okay?"

"Yes, I will do that. Go to sleep now."

The next morning, Renz came back to the hospital to accompany Selene. He applied for a day off today.

Selene and Renz would bring Grandma Elysa to the Yangche Medical Center for further examination.

Renz was the one who processed the transfer documents. The hospital would provide everything, including the ambulance that would transfer grandma to Yangche Medical Center.

Meanwhile, Selene prepared Grandma Elysa's breakfast. Aunt Ling went back to the Anderson Family Mansion early this morning to cook food for the grandmother and granddaughter duo.

Grandma Elysa didn't want the food in the hospital. She said it was bland. The doctor didn't restrict her on the food she wanted to eat, so Aunt Ling cooked her favorite.

Selene was currently having breakfast together with Aunt Ling and Grandma Elysa when her phone rang. It was a call coming from Samantha. She excused herself first before answering the call.

Samantha: "Hey Selene, are you okay? I heard the news from Renz. He told me that your grandmother was rushed to the hospital yesterday. I hope both of you are just doing fine."

Selene: "Yes. I'm just fine. Thank you for your concern, Samantha. I will tell you about my grandma's condition personally."

Samantha: "Okay, Selene. If you need a friend, you can always call me. Alright? Be strong. I know Renz will also support you as always."

Selene: "Thank you, Sam. I really appreciate that."

Samantha: "Oh, by the way, I follow your advice so you don't have to worry about me too. I am now looking for a lady bodyguard."

Selene felt relieved because of that. She would be occupied in the coming days and she didn't know if she could monitor Samantha. At least, she was at ease knowing that she hired a personal bodyguard.

She was thinking that she couldn't solely rely on Gabriel. He also needed to attend classes, not just protecting Samantha.

Selene: "Sam, just be careful alright. And if possible, please avoid going to the Orion Empire Hotel in the coming days."

Samantha: "huh? But why?"

Selene: "Hmm. I can't explain for now. But just listen to me, okay? Don't go there."

Samantha couldn't understand Selene's warning but in the end, she just agreed with her request. She would try her best to avoid that place. Besides, there's no reason for her to come to that hotel.

After making sure that everything was alright on Selene's part, Samantha said goodbye to Selene and hung up the phone.

That was also the time Renz entered the ward holding some papers. The request for transfer for Grandma Elysa had been processed. He already contacted the Yangche Medical Center.

Renz approached Selene and talked to her privately. They went out of the ward, leaving Grandma Elysa and Aunt Ling inside.

"How is it?" Selene asked Renz.

"Everything is set. We will transfer Grandma Elysa this afternoon," Renz answered her, holding her hands.

"Did you not sleep? You have dark circles. You look like a panda now," Renz added, trying to tease her to lighten her mood.

Selene looked at him helplessly and ended up laughing. "You are exaggerating! I slept for five hours."

Renz nodded his head with a smile. "Good."

"By the way, Selene… I haven't told my parents yet about Grandma Elysa's condition. Do you want to come with me tomorrow and meet my parents?"

"I think it's better if the two of us will inform them together, especially about our wedding."

Selene was not used to talking about her marriage with Renz. She was rendered speechless for a moment.

'Is it really happening? Renz and I will get married next month. It is so good to be true,' Selene thought to herself.

"Hey, say something. Are you nervous?" Renz squeezed her hands as Selene didn't say anything. It looked like her mind was wandering somewhere and she was not paying attention to Renz.

"I'm sorry. It's just that... I am so overwhelmed by everything that is happening right now."

Renz raised his hands, cupping Selene's face.

"Yeah, I understand how you feel. I also feel the same way. But don't mind the other things, let's just fulfill Grandma Elysa's wish and take good care of her."

Selene bobbed her head in agreement. "Yes, let's do this. I will come with you tomorrow. Let's inform your parents."

"Yes, I think they will agree with our plan. So don't worry too much."
