After his encounter with Eros, Scorpion immediately sought Mr. M to report what happened.

Scorpion went to Mr. M's private villa personally. When he arrived, he saw him dipping on the pool, relaxing.

"Scorpion, this is a surprise visit. What do you have for me today?" Mr. M rose from the pool and walked over, grabbing the towel on the swimming pool lounge.

"Boss, we have a problem. I'm sorry. I was careless. Someone noticed me following Samantha."

Scorpion directly told Mr. M his concern. He didn't beat around the bush.

Mr. M furrowed his brows when he heard that.

"Tell me all the details," he said with his stern voice.

The smile he was wearing before suddenly disappeared. He sat down and waited for Scorpion to continue.

"Selene visited Samantha's shop today together with a man. His name is Gabriel. She introduced him to Samantha as her friend."

Mr. M's frown deepened because of that information.

"A friend? A male friend?" Mr. M couldn't believe it.

Scorpion just nodded his head.

"As far as I remember, Micaela told me that Selene never had other close friends aside from her. Hmm, it seems that Selene is trying to mingle with everyone now. Hmm, interesting development on her side."

Mr. M was amused by the changes happening to Selene recently.

"So what did they do after noticing you?"

"I had a fight with Selene's friend. He asked me the reason why I'm following them. That person knew how to fight. It took me a lot of time just fighting him."

Mr. M was surprised to hear that. Someone was able to match up with Scorpion's fighting skill.

"So, did you lose against him?" He asked Scorpion, lifting his eyebrow.

He would commend the guy if ever he won against Scorpion.

But with his pride, Scorpion would never admit that to Mr. M.

"Selene suddenly appeared so I stopped attacking her friend. I escaped right away."

Mr. M smirked when he heard that.

"Good job, Scorpion. You made the right choice. Avoid confronting Selene as much as possible. Do you think they recognize you?"

Scorpion shook his head. "No Boss," he responded with certainty in his voice.

"Alright. That's the important thing here. They must not recognize you so that you can still approach Selene next time."

"I understand Boss."

"By the way, Scorpion… stop following Samantha. I will handle her from now on," a mischievous smirk flashed on his face.

"Noted, Boss. Now if you may excuse me, I will have to go now." Scorpion bade goodbye to Mr. M.

"Okay. You may go. Just wait for my further instructions."

When Scorpion left, Mr. M was put in deep thought. He was thinking about Selene. He could notice the changes in Selene's attitude lately. He wondered what was the cause of those sudden changes.

Micaela had mentioned to him that Selene seemed more reserved toward her. She was not the same Selene she used to before who always relied on Micaela.

Micaela thought Selene was becoming distant from her. Or maybe she was just thinking too much since Selene found new friends right now like Samantha and Gabriel.

"If Selene will become closer to Samantha instead of Micaela then it will affect our plan. I think Micaela and I should do an alternative strategy regarding this."

~ At Anderson Family Mansion ~

Selene felt alarmed after seeing Eros aka Gabriel pressing his hand on his chest. She thought there was something wrong with him.

"Hey, are you hurting somewhere? Answer me, Gab. You are making me more nervous. What if this is the aftereffect of treating your wound. Let's go to the hospital. Did I do wrong? Did your wound get infected or something?" Selene's panicked voice echoed in the living room.

Eros remained still in his seat, watching Selene's anxious expression filled with genuine concern for him.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

His heart thumped rapidly inside his chest. The sounds of his heartbeats became loud enough to resound in his ears.

Without saying anything, Eros pulled Selene and engulfed her into his arms. Selene was caught off guard by his sudden action.

'Eh? What's wrong with him? Why is he hugging me?'

She tried to push him away but Eros tightened his grip on her. The longing and sadness at the thought of Selene not remembering him were affecting him this much.

He didn't know what had gotten into him. He just felt the urge to hug her.

"Hey, what are you doing? Let go of me!" Selene complained to Eros. But Eros didn't release her.

"My heart… My heart is aching right now. Please, can you comfort me? Just stay still. Let me hug you for a while," Eros softly mumbled to Selene.

Selene was taken aback when she heard that. She could feel the helplessness in Eros's voice. Though she was puzzled by his action, Selene just became obedient to him.

She stopped struggling against Eros, just letting him hug her. She couldn't believe that she agreed with his request. They just knew each other for only three days but now, they were hugging as if they were very close to each other.

Eros smiled inwardly. Now, he understood why Selene was always asking him to give her a hug whenever she was feeling down. A hug was really effective to comfort and cheer someone.

The sadness he felt moments ago suddenly disappeared after he felt her warm body against his. It somehow comforted him. When he was satisfied, Eros finally released her.

"Are you okay now?" Selene asked Eros, still feeling worried about him.

Eros just nodded his head with a smile.

'I think I have to go now and come back as Eros. Selene might think of me as a weird guy if I continue acting like this in front of her.'

"Selene, thank you for treating my wound. Don't worry. You didn't do something wrong. You are the best nurse for me. I'm sorry if I acted like that moments ago. Did I give you a shock? Please forgive me, I just recalled some sad moments." Eros apologized and explained to Selene.

Selene just sighed deeply.

"Alright, I will let it slide for now. But don't do that again. I might think that you are a pervert, trying to take advantage of me! You should hug your girlfriend, not me! She might get jealous if she finds out that you are just hugging some random women." Selene scolded Eros.

Eros just blinked his eyes several times while looking at her amusedly.

"But you are my girlfriend!" Eros stated matter-of-factly.

"Cough! Cough!" Selene choked on her saliva after hearing that shameless statement from Eros aka Gabriel.

"WHAT? What did you just say?" Selene asked him in disbelief.

"I said you are my girlfriend!" Eros repeated his words.

"Ehhh?! Seriously, Gab? When did I become your girlfriend?!! Did you lose your mind already?" Selene said exasperatedly.

She narrowed her eyes at him. She didn't know whether to punch him or smack his forehead.

Eros just let out a soft chuckle. "I thought you became my friend. Are we not friends?"

"Yes, we are friends. I'm your friend but not your girlfriend!" Selene insisted.

Selene roamed her eyes around them. She felt relieved when she didn't see someone. Fortunately, Grandma Elysa was in her room right now, or else, she might misunderstand if she heard Eros's statement.

"Yes, you are my friend, and you are a girl. So I consider you as my girlfriend, a friend who is a girl!"

Selene's jaw dropped because of Eros's last statement.

"Gab, seriously? Is that your definition of girlfriend? Are you not kidding us? Don't you have a girlfriend?"

"You know… a girlfriend is someone who is more than a friend. Someone you are involved with romantically. When I said romantically it means someone you do some intimate act like holding hands and kissing lips!" Selene lectured Eros, speaking spontaneously without a pause.

'Yes, I know that! I'm an angel of love after all. I just feel like calling you my girlfriend since I already kissed you,' Eros thought to himself while smiling inwardly.

"Hmm, alright. I understand. Then you are my friend. Not my girlfriend!" Eros finally agreed with Selene. There was a glint of humor in his blue eyes.

Selene arched her eyebrows in amusement. "Are you really that dumb that you didn't know how to distinguish the difference between the two?"

Eros just let out another soft chuckle. "Hmm, A handsome dumb. I told you. I will not be offended as long as you will include the word handsome.' Eros winked at Selene.

Selene just rolled her eyes at him. "So Shameless!"

"Shameless handsome!" Eros corrected, smirking cheekily at her.

"Whatever!"

A husky laugh escaped Eros's mouth once again.

"Alright. I have to go now, Selene. Thank you for having me here. Let's continue our mission again tomorrow."

"Wait, one last question. Don't you really have a girlfriend?" Selene asked him curiously.

"Yes, I don't. Unless… you wanna become my girlfriend?"
