Selene shot Eros a cold sharp glare after hearing his last words. Her cheeks became scarlet red once more because of embarrassment.

'Why did he have to describe my body like that? Can't he just keep his mouth shut?' Selene watched Eros in annoyance.

*Pak*

"Aww!"

Eros received another hit from Selene. She smacked his forehead for those unnecessary words he blurted out once more.

"Can you keep quiet? If you continue speaking like that I will really think that you are a true pervert!" Selene scolded him once again.

Eros automatically zipped his mouth when he heard that.

"By the way, who are you? Why are you here and suddenly approach me?" Selene asked him.

She realized that she didn't know his name yet and the reason why he came to approach her. If he was there to buy something to eat and drink, he could choose to sit at the other table.

But from the look of it, he specifically walked towards her table and approached her. She wondered if he really wanted to explain things to her and clear the misunderstanding between them.

Eros's lips curled up once again, flashing his signature charming smile. Since he was done clearing his name, now was the time to move on the main agenda and introduce himself to Selene.

However, he couldn't use his name Eros as he was pretending to be an ordinary human being right now. So Eros came up with another name in his mind.

"That's right! We haven't introduced ourselves to each other yet. I am Gabriel, you can call me Gab for short." Eros finally introduced himself, extending his right hand to Selene.

Selene looked at Eros's hand for a few seconds before accepting it. She smiled faintly while shaking his hand with hers.

"What a nice name for a shameless dumb guy like you!" Selene decided to tease him.

Eros just arched his eyebrows in amusement. "Just add the word handsome or gorgeous so that I will not get offended whenever you will call me dumb."

Selene giggled because of his remarks. Honestly, she felt a familiar feeling while talking to this guy as if he was not a stranger to her anymore. She was comfortable in his presence and he was fun to talk to as well.

"Okay, Mr. Handsome Dummy Guy. I am Selene, the smartest pretty girl inside this Cafe now." She wanted to play along with him.

Eros let out a husky laugh. "I didn't know that you have a shameless side too. I'm so glad to know that Ms. Smarty Pretty Girl. And it's my pleasure to meet you."

The two of them burst out laughing while shaking their hands.

"Hmm...To answer your other question, I came here to meet someone. You know I love doing part-time jobs to pay for my tuition. This time I got a new job offer."

Selene became interested in his part-time job. "Really? So what did you get this time?"

Eros looked at Selene meaningfully before giving her an answer. "I applied to be a personal bodyguard. I accidentally saw the job announcement somewhere and it was written there that I could meet the person who was hiring a bodyguard here in this Cafe."

"Oh, what a coincidence, you have the same name as her. It said in the announcement that I should look for Selene Anderson upon entering the Cafe."

Selene: "..."

'Eh, don't tell me he is the person Eros recommended to me last night?'

Selene skimmed Eros from top to bottom. 'White shirt and blue pants… so he is the guy who will help me in saving Samantha.'

Selene could hardly believe that he was the one she was meeting today.

'Wait, does it mean Eros had something to do with the job advertisement that Gabriel accidentally saw? Why didn't he mention it to me last night!'

Meanwhile, Eros tried his best to feign ignorance. He had to pretend that he didn't know Selene and Eros. He wanted Selene to believe that he was just an ordinary person who was looking for a part-time job.

"Hey Miss Smarty Pretty Girl, are you okay? Is there something wrong? Why do you look flustered?"

Selene snapped out of her deep stupor when Eros had spoken again.

"Actually, I am Selene Anderson. I am the one whom you are looking for."

Eros pretended that he was shocked to hear that. "Oh my, what a small world and a great coincidence?! So can we talk about that job now, Madam Smarty Pretty Girl? How much is my salary?"

"Are you sure about this? This job is very dangerous. We might encounter a murderer here. Are you not afraid? You can still back out now," Selene informed Eros in a low voice.

"No. I will not back out! I want to do this. Besides, I want to make use of my skills to protect someone. I assumed you already saw me fighting and have seen my skills. Trust me. I will not let anything bad happen to you."

Selene looked at Eros helplessly. She could see that Eros aka Gabriel was so determined in doing this job.

"Don't worry about the salary. I will not ask you for a big amount. Just let me do this, please," Eros added, convincing her.

Selene didn't have the heart to refuse this handsome guy who was desperately begging her to give him the job.

"Hmm, alright! You are hired. However, I am not the one who needs protection, but my friend. There is an unknown person who wants to kill her. I will try to save her by monitoring her movement secretly." Selene informed Eros.

"Let's try to catch the culprit!"

"Hmm, yes! Let's do this. I will protect both of you. But protecting you is my main priority," Eros insisted.

"Eh, why me?" Selene asked him confusedly. "I said I'm not the one who needs protection. It's my friend," she reminded him.

"But you are the one who hired me. Your safety is my first concern!"

"Alright, I won't argue anymore. Let's discuss your salary first then make a deal. After that, let's talk about our plan."

Eros bobbed his head frantically with a satisfied smile on his face.
