At the last minute, Selene came up with a better alibi, making Renz believe that those things just happened in her dream.

Renz didn't think that Selene was lying since that's the only believable explanation for those words.

First, grandma Elysa was still alive. Second, he hadn't met Selene's best friend yet. Third, he didn't betray her nor cheated on her.

In his mind, since Selene was drunk she thought her dream was true and began venting out her frustration upon seeing Renz on the rooftop.

After a while, Renz's laughter bubbled up in the living room.

"I was so worried for nothing. But I'm glad it was just a dream," Renz mumbled, caressing Selene's face.

"Don't cry… and don't disappear like that again, okay? If you are upset with me, tell me and be honest with me just like how you confronted me on the rooftop."

Selene was dumbfounded because of Renz's gentle action towards her. She wondered if he was starting to like her and see her as a woman, not as a sister.

But Selene didn't want to keep her hopes up since she knew that Renz was always kind to her in her previous life.

She mistook his kindness for love so she failed to notice that he was already in love with someone else.

She thought the way he cared for her before could be considered love but she was wrong. He loved her as his sister but not as a woman who would become his wife.

"Do you want to stay here longer or do you want me to drop you at home? Grandma Elysa might be waiting for you already."

Selene just nodded her head in agreement. She wanted to be with her grandma always, keeping her company for the remaining days she had left in this world.

Renz and Selene were about to leave the house when she remembered something.

"Oh, by the way, Renz… can I get Samantha's number? I want to hang out with her too. She's very kind to me. I want to know her more."

In order to save Samantha, Selene must warn her about the guy with a dragon tattoo as well as avoid going to the Orion Empire Hotel.

She needed to get her phone number to constantly monitor Samantha. Aside from that, she had to think of a better way to warn Samantha without being strange or looking weird in her eyes.

Of course, she couldn't tell her directly that 'Samantha I saw your future. You will die after a few weeks. A person with a dragon tattoo is a suspect. Don't go to Orion Empire Hotel. You will be murdered in that hotel on this date.'

If she would tell that to Samantha, she would think that Selene was crazy and insane. Instead of becoming her friend, Samantha might stay away from her. Selene didn't want that to happen.

Meanwhile, Renz picked up his phone and forwarded Samantha's number to Selene. He was glad that Samantha and Selene were getting along well. At least, Renz felt reassured having one friend who was getting close to his fiancee.

"I'm done. I forwarded her number already. Check your phone." Renz said, smiling at her.

"Samantha is a great designer. You can visit her main shop. Don't worry, I will tell her to show you around and see the creative and unique designs she personally made."

"Thanks, Renz. I would love that!" Selene responded cheerfully.

In her previous life, Luna Brand had started to create a big name in the fashion industry. Samantha did well in her chosen career. It was too bad that she died at a very young age when her career was at its peak.

This time, Selene wanted to change Samantha's fate with the help of Eros. She wished Samantha could live her dream for a long time. She knew she was a good person and she deserved to have a long and happy life with her loved ones.

Selene and Renz finally left his place going back to Anderson's Family Mansion. While they were on their way, Selene messaged Samantha, telling her that she got her number from Renz.

She asked Samantha if she was available this afternoon. She wanted to meet her and invited her to come over to their mansion.

She also thanked Samantha for last night. She learned from Renz that Samantha searched for her all over the hotel.

After a while, Samantha responded to her. She agreed on meeting Selene since she was free today.

Meanwhile, if Selene was thinking about how to save Samantha, Eros was also trying to figure out how he would be able to help Selene.

Eros was thinking that there was a murderer involved in Samantha's death so there would be a possibility that facing, confronting, and fighting the culprit couldn't be avoided.

But Eros was facing a big problem. He was an angel and there was a strict rule of not hurting humans using his power. If he would break that rule then he would be banned from coming to the human world again.

Aside from that, he had another concern, it was the grim reapers. If they learned that a cupid interfered with their task, a conflict would arise between the two realms.

He knew the risk but he was not the kind of guy who would go back on his promise. He promised Selene so he had to fulfill it no matter what.

Eros was sitting on the top of a big tree right now, thinking hard. He had lost count of how many times he sighed today.

"I hope Azrael is not the assigned grim reaper to collect Samantha's soul or else, he will know my involvement in saving Samantha. He can recognize me but other grim reapers do not know me."

After an hour of thinking, finally, Eros found a better solution on how he could help Selene and at the same time, concealed his identity from the grim reaper.

Furthermore, the most important thing was he would be able to avoid using his power from hurting the murderer just in case.

"I guess, I have to use my human form now," Eros mumbled. His lips stretched into a satisfied grin.
