Renz asked around if they saw Selene. Samantha also joined him. Declan and Noel who felt guilty for what happened also moved to find Selene. Only Meghan and Arthur were left at their table.

What Meghan told Selene about the kiss was a lie. It was Arthur whom she kissed not Renz. She lied to Selene to make her jealous and create a scene inside. But to her disappointment, Selene just remained calm.

Who would have thought she would suddenly go missing? Now, her plan backfired on her. Renz was angry because of what she did.

Arthur approached Meghan and rubbed her back. "Don't worry. I will talk to Renz. Just told him that you forgot. You've mistaken me as Renz then I would admit to them that it was me whom you kissed not Renz."

Meghan just nodded at him, giving Arthur a grateful look.

"Thanks, Arthur. What should we do now? Should we join them?"

Arthur shook his head. "This is my party. I can't just leave to search for his fiancee. I think three people are enough. They could handle it. Come, let's continue to enjoy the party."

He invited Meghan into the dance floor, not caring about Selene who had gone missing.

On the other hand, Renz went to the Management of the hotel to ask for their help. He was worried about Selene. He needed to see her as soon as possible.

He promised Grandma Elysa that he would keep her safe and protect her. He had to find her before something bad would happen to her.

After meeting the hotel management, the hotel staff accompanied Renz to the CCTV monitoring room. They would try to search Selene by reviewing the CCTV recordings so that they would know where she went.

They started replaying the CCTV records hoping that Selene was captured by the cameras near the venue.

Meanwhile, the girl whom they were searching for was on the hotel's rooftop. She was glad that no one was there except her.

In the De La Sierra Hotel, the rooftop was very nice. There was a large rectangular pool where anyone could dip and relax. The overlooking view of the city was spectacular at nighttime.

There were also soft couches scattered on the rooftop where hotel guests could sit as they enjoyed the fresh air and the magnificent view of the city.

Selene chose to sit in the corner which was darker, hoping that no one would see her even if someone would also come to the rooftop by this time. She was still holding the bottle of tequila she got from the waiter.

Her surrounding was so quiet and serene, allowing Selene to reminisce about what happened in her past life. There was a bitter-sweet smile on her lovely face.

She thought her heart had become strong but she was wrong. It was still fragile that it could easily be broken at any time. Her stored tears that she failed to shed in her past life just continued to flow from the corners of her eyes down her cheeks.

When Renz talked to her in her past life, telling her the truth about his relationship with Micaela while asking her to break off the engagement, Selene never cried.

She just remained silent, absorbing his every word while concealing her emotions. She was hurt. She wanted to swear at him, punch him and slap him but she couldn't do it.

She just kept it all in, pretending she was fine. Instead of crying or showing emotion of anger and hatred, Selene just smiled at him tenderly while nodding her head. Then the only words she could utter was a simple "Okay."

Selene shook her head and scolded herself. "I came here to forget. Not to recall the past. Get a grip of yourself, Selene!"

After saying that, Selene took a sip of the tequila on the glass. It tasted bitter but she tried to endure it. She wanted to get drunk and forget everything. She wanted to lessen the pain in her heart right now.

She continued drinking despite the awful taste of the tequila. After a few minutes, she finished drinking everything and the bottle of tequila was now empty. Selene's face was now scarlet red. She's burning hot.

She started to giggle for no reason and spouted things that came into her mind. Her vision became a little bit blurry.

She tried to stand up only to sit back again as she felt that her world was spinning. Selene was definitely drunk now.

Inside the venue, aside from Renz, someone was also searching for Selene. It was Eros, her cupid. He was back after talking to Azrael.

He wondered why Selene was not inside but her bag was still at their table. There was no sign of Renz and Samantha as well.

'Eh, where is everyone? I wonder if Selene is with Renz and Samantha right now,' Eros mumbled, scratching his face.

Eros tried to check Selene if she's outside the hall but he didn't see her. To make it quick, Eros decided to use his power to locate Selene.

He closed his eyes to concentrate, trying to search Selene's spiritual energy around the hotel. After a few seconds, Eros opened his eyes, frowning.

He already found Selene's current location. He was right. Selene hasn't left yet. She was still in the hotel. But he was puzzled why she was currently in the highest area in that hotel.

'What is she doing there, alone?' Eros pondered at that thought.

Without further ado, Eros teleported to her location. In just a blink of an eye, Eros was now standing in front of Selene.

Eros's frown deepened after seeing Selene. She was sitting on a soft couch on the rooftop of the hotel. There was an empty bottle next to her. She was leaning her back on the couch with her eyes closed.

"Why is she sleeping here? It's very cold here. She might get sick. She's wearing a sleeveless dress." Eros complained to himself. He had the urge to scold Selene.

"Alright, let's wake up the sleeping beauty!" Eros mumbled before walking over to approach Selene.
