《Forbidden Love: Angel’s Seduction》Forbidden Love: Angel's Seduction

Eros and Selene made a promise to each other that they would save Samantha. With that, Selene felt relieved now. At least, she had Eros by her side.
She would no longer ask Renz's help for the reason that she didn't want Renz to be in danger. Eros's help would be enough. Besides, she put her trust in Eros. He was her angel after all.
When they went back to the hall, the host just announced that the dance floor was now open for everyone. Several pairs walked in the middle of the dance floor. The band started playing sweet music.
Selene just headed straight to their table where Renz was waiting for her. He was talking to Samantha and Meghan when Noel and Declan invited the two ladies for a dance.
Samantha was partnered up with Noel while Declan chose Meghan as his dance partner for this first music. Arthur was no longer at their table. He was now talking to another group of men and women.
"Hey, what took you so long? Don't tell me you really get lost?" Renz immediately asked Selene upon reaching their table.
'Well, it's because of my cupid. It took me a lot of time before I was able to convince her. He let me cry first,' Selene thought to herself while eyeing Eros.
"No. I didn't get lost. It's just that there was a queue and I had to wait for my turn," Selene said as an excuse.
Renz just let out a husky laugh. He was just teasing Selene.
After a few seconds, Renz stood up and extended his right hand to Selene. "May I dance with you, beautiful lady in a white dress?"
Selene swooned when Renz said that to her with his suave tone. With a glowing smile on her face, Selene placed her hand over his palm, accepting his invitation.

Soon, Renz guided her to the dance floor. Renz placed his hands on her waist while Selene put her arms on Renz's shoulder. He pulled her body closer to him.
When they started to dance, swaying with the sweet music that was being played by the band, Selene suddenly felt nostalgic for her memory of the past.
The last time she danced with Renz was during her 18th birthday… 6 years ago in her previous life. It was just a simple gathering with Grandma Elysa and Renz's family.
No 18 roses, no 18 candles but Renz gave her 18 roses as they danced in front of their family. This brought a wonderful memory to Selene. She didn't expect that she would be able to dance with him again.
Selene was still reminiscing the past when Renz leaned over and whispered something to her.
"Are you enjoying the party? I hope you don't regret coming with me tonight."
Selene gazed up, smiling at him tenderly. "Yes, I am enjoying this. I don't regret coming here with you. I'm glad I did."
Renz let out a soft chuckle. His laughter echoed in her ears, Renz's face was very close to hers that she could feel his breath fanning her skin.
"Well, Miss Selene, I'm also glad to know that," Renz softly mumbled, tightening his grip on her body.
Selene's heart skipped a beat at the feeling of his body. With their closeness, Selene leaned her head on his chest as they continued dancing. She closed her eyes, savoring this moment with him. She felt blissful right now.
Meanwhile, Eros was watching Selene and Renz from a distance. They were dancing while they were hugging each other on the dance floor. They looked like a perfect couple who were in love with each other.

He could see the happiness in Selene's expression. It seemed that their mission was going smoothly. Renz and Selene were getting closer to each other.
He should feel happy for them, especially for Selene. But Eros couldn't explain why he felt empty right now by just watching Selene in Renz's arms.
Eros placed his hand on his chest, frowning. "What's wrong with me? Why is it my heart is acting strangely like this?"
After a few seconds, Eros could no longer bear to watch them so he turned around and left the hotel for a moment. He needed to breathe some fresh air and calm his mind.
Meanwhile, Arthur went back to their table. Meghan also joined him. Samantha, Declan, and Noel were still on the dance floor.
She noticed that Arthur was observing Selene and Renz. She decided to ask Arthur's regarding Selene.
"Hmm, Did your mind change already? Are you rooting for them now? It seems that you are now being nice to Selene. I thought you hate her. Is it because she transformed into a beautiful lady in just one night?"
"Of course, not! My impression of her is still the same. Nothing changed." Arthur promptly responded to Meghan. He took his wine glass and took a sip.
Meghan arched her eyebrow, not entirely convinced by Arthur's remarks. "Really, then prove it to me," Meghan said, challenging Arthur.
Arthur smirked at her. "To tell you honestly, I already planned something against her. I wanted to embarrass her in front of the crowd so that Renz would be disappointed with her. You know… A total turn-off!"
"Oh, how will you do that?" Meghan asked Arthur expectantly, feeling intrigued.
"Well, it's just simple. I am planning to get her drunk. I wonder how she will act when she is drunk. I know she has a lower alcohol tolerance. I bet she had never tried drinking alcoholic drinks before. I told you... she's too boring. Never attended parties like this."
Meghan couldn't help but laugh after hearing that. "Ahem, I like your plan. Do you want my help? Let's do this together. I will make sure that Renz will not suspect us of doing it intentionally." Meghan offered him some help.
"Besides, I am also planning to do something that will cause some misunderstanding between them," Meghan added, her lips stretched into an evil smile.
"Alright, be my guest! Hahaha!" Arthur accepted her offer.

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.

LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
