Selene pouted her lips when Eros scolded her. It felt weird being lectured by a little child as if he was the one older than her.

But Eros was an immortal and he was already existing even before Selene was born so typically, he was older than Selene.

However, in Selene's eyes, Eros was just a cute little charming child.

Eros looked angry right now so Selene tried to pacify him using her puppy-dog eyes.

"My dear angel, please don't get mad at me. I believe nothing bad will happen to me because you are beside me. Aside from being my cupid, I think you are also my guardian angel."

Eros remained silent. He folded his small hands across his chest. He was trying to show her that he was firm with his decision. He would not let Selene interfere again with someone else's fate.

He had two important reasons for that. First, he didn't want Selene to do dangerous things like saving a girl from a murderer's hand. She was just putting herself in danger.

What if something wrong would happen again and Selene would end up dying again on someone's behalf? Of course, Eros would not allow that to happen. He would definitely save her.

However, he shouldn't get involved because of the second reason. If they would save Samantha from dying then it might create another trouble for the grim reapers. It would create imbalance and changes in the Book of Death. Then Zaki would notice that something went wrong again.

He might trace this incident back to Selene. If that happened, Zaki might learn what happened to Selene. The deal between Eros and Azrael might be revealed to Zaki. This might cause a conflict between Angel's Agape Realm and Grim Reaper's Realm.

Azrael would face severe punishment as well for hiding the strange incident that happened to Selene and to the Book of Death. The three of them would be in trouble.

"No! We should not interfere, Selene!"

But Selene didn't want to give up. She wanted to convince Eros. She knew that Samantha was a good person. She could feel it. The way she talked to her nicely, she knew that she was not faking it.

Selene wanted to make friends with Samantha. She felt comfortable with her like she was her older sister. She wouldn't get peace of mind if she would just let Samantha die with a tragic death.

If she hadn't met her tonight then maybe she wouldn't care this much or maybe she would not even remember that Samantha would die.

Selene put her hands in front of her, rubbing her palms as she begged Eros.

"Please, Eros. let's save her."

"No. I said no!" Eros looked like a kid who was having a tantrum as he firmly refused her.

Selene sighed deeply. Her expression changed. She had become serious now. No more begging.

"Alright. I will not ask you to help me. But just to let you know I will still try to save her. I will ask Renz's help. I know he will help me protect Samantha."

Eros's eyes widened in disbelief after hearing that. Selene was acting stubborn right now. She would not listen to him.

"SELENE! Don't do that!"

Selene ignored Eros's complaints. She fixed herself before turning to leave. She was upset because Eros didn't want to help her. She marched out of the Comfort Room without saying another word to Eros.

"Selene!" Eros called her out, following her from behind. But Selene just continued walking, completely ignoring Eros.

Eros smacked his forehead, screaming, "Argh! What am I gonna do with this troublesome girl?!!"

Before Selene could go back to their table, Eros was able to catch up with her. Of course, he used his speed. When he reached Selene, Eros immediately grabbed her hand thus stopping Selene from moving further.

"What?" Selene asked Eros with her angry voice.

Eros was dumbfounded not only because Selene sounded angry but also because Selene's eyes got misty. She was on the verge of crying.

It did not take long when Selene's tear finally fell from the corners of her eyes. Eros panicked when he saw that.

"Hey, hey, Selene! Don't cry… I'm sorry. Please forgive me if I scolded you. It's just that I'm just concerned about your safety." Eros apologized immediately. He wanted to comfort Selene. He didn't want to see her cry.

"You are so mean…" Selene mumbled, wiping her tears.

Eros could only sigh in defeat. "Alright! Alright! Don't cry. Stop crying. Let's talk about this later at home."

"What do you mean?"

"I said, let's discuss Samantha's matter at home. Tell me everything that you can remember about what happened to her in your previous life. Then we will figure out how to save her."

Selene's gloomy expression moments ago suddenly brightened up when she heard that.

"Does it mean you are going to help me save Samantha?"

Eros bobbed his head. "Yes, I will. Just don't cry anymore and don't be mad at me."

"Promise me first!" Selene demanded.

"I, Eros, a cupid from the Angel's Agape Realm, promise to Selene that I will help her save Samantha from dying."

Selene immediately hugged Eros upon receiving his confirmation. "Thank you! Thank you, my dear Angel! I knew it. I can always count on you!"

Eros heaved another deep sigh. He couldn't believe that he gave in to Selene's request easily after seeing her shedding tears. Maybe that was Eros's weakness. He couldn't bear to see a girl cry, most especially Selene.

'Ah, Azrael, please forgive me on behalf of the other grim reapers. It seems like I have to interfere with your task. Sigh…' Eros mumbled to himself.

He just hoped that nothing would go wrong with their plan. 'Selene? Why are you doing this to me, letting me do things I am not supposed to do?'

Eros felt helpless right now. He couldn't say no to her. He thought his resolve of not helping her was already strong enough to refuse her plea. But he was wrong. His resolve easily got broken because of Selene's tears.
