Selene was still in awe, admiring the beautiful white dress in front of her. She didn't want to touch it, afraid that her hand would ruin its beauty. The design of the dress looked simple yet glamorous.

The size was perfectly made for her… only for her. Eros was also smiling, seeing the fascination in Selene's brown eyes. He was satisfied with the dress he designed for her. It reflected her personality, so pure and innocent.

Eros was certain that once Selene wore the dress, she would stand out in the crowd, gathering lots of attention from male audiences.

He smirked and thought inwardly, 'Just you wait, Renz. You will see the better version of the woman whom you betrayed. Too bad you can't remember what you did in her previous life.'

'If I am just allowed to show you what happened in Selene's previous life then you will realize that you've thrown away a diamond and picked up a rock instead. I want you to regret betraying Selene and hurting her feelings.'

'I hope in this lifetime, you will take good care of her… especially her fragile heart.'

Eros was still lost in his own thoughts when Selene suddenly pounced on him, squeezing him in her arms as always.

"My Angel! You saved my life again! I love the dress. So beautiful! But…"

Eros arched his eyebrow when Selene paused. "But what?"

"But I am afraid that I will ruin its beauty and not do justice to the dress if I wear it," Selene said in her saddened voice.

'Her inferiority complex strikes again.' Eros thought to himself while looking at Selene helplessly.

"Selene, you are beautiful, inside out! This dress is only made for you. No one can give justice to this dress except you. Believe in yourself and have a bit of self-confidence!" Eros said, cheering her up.

"Mark my words… Renz will treat you tonight like a true princess!"

Selene gently patted Eros's head, before messing his hair. "You really know how to lift my mood up! Thank you, my dearest angel."

Eros groaned inwardly because of Selene's action. 'Don't do that, Selene. I'm not a kid!'

Selene finally released Eros from her tight grip and asked, "So what shall we do next?"

Eros turned to the wall clock, checking the time. "You still have two hours and a half before Renz arrives to pick you up."

Selene simply nodded her head and asked, "So… what's next?"

Eros pointed his finger at the bed in front of them. "Sleep."

"Eh?!! What did you say?" Selene asked Eros, her eyes looking at him with disbelief. 'Did I just hear it wrong?'

Eros sighed deeply before elaborating his answer.

"I said SLEEP. You should take a beauty-rest, Selene. I know you didn't get enough sleep last night. You looked like a panda with dark circles under your eyes. Sleep for a few hours then I will wake you up 10 to 20 minutes before Renz will arrive."

"What?! 10 to 20 minutes? How about my hair and makeup? I also need to take a quick bath. I can't sleep now." Selene didn't agree with Eros's suggestion.

"Selene, just trust me. You don't have to worry about those things. You can take a bath in 10-15 minutes. After that, I will handle your hair and makeup. But for now, I suggest that you sleep and take a short nap. Now sleep. You only have two hours." Eros reassured her and at the same time, commanded her to take a rest.

In the end, Selene followed Eros's suggestion. She went to bed and took a short nap.

Renz arrived at Anderson's Family Mansion at exactly 7:00 pm. Grandma Elysa was the one who welcomed him since Selene was still upstairs.

"Oh, My dear Renz! It's been a long time that I haven't seen you. How have you been? You became more handsome," Grandma Elysa greeted Renz, giving him a warm hug.

"Grandma, I'm so happy to see you. I'm good. Please forgive me if I seldom visit you and Selene. I will find time to visit you both more often... next time." Renz politely apologized to Grandma Elysa.

Grandma Elysa just giggled, patting Renz's back. "You don't have to apologize. I know you are busy managing two companies. I'm sorry for giving you this burden. I'm already old and I can't manage the company anymore"

She paused and looked up in the direction of Selene's bedroom. "Besides, I prefer to take good care of my precious granddaughter rather than managing a company."

A faint smile flashed on Renz's handsome face when he heard that. 'As expected, Grandma Elysa dotes on Selene so much. She will always be her grandma's priority.'

Grandma Elysa moved her gaze back to Renz. "Renz, can I request something from you?"

"Sure, Grandma. Just tell me and I will do my best to fulfill it."

Grandma Elysa placed her hand on Renz's right shoulder and looked straight into his eyes.

"Renz, Selene will become your wife. Though you are busy managing the company, please don't ever neglect her. Okay? Can you please take good care of my granddaughter?"

"I will not always be here for her. I'm already old. We don't know how long I will be able to stay alive. But I am at ease because she has you. Once the two of you get married then you must love, support, and protect each other. Understand?"

Renz took him several seconds before he finally responded to Grandma Elysa.

"Yes, grandma. I understand. I will do my best to be a good husband to Selene. You don't have to worry about her."

Grandma Elysa felt more at ease after hearing that from Renz. "Thank you, Renz. I will be counting on you. Make my Selene happy. Okay?"

"Yes, Grandma. I will make her happy."

In Selene's previous life, Renz also made a promise to Grandma Elysa before she died. He promised him that he would protect and take good care of Selene. He told Grandma Elysa that he would make her happy.
