"Micaela…" Selene softly mumbled the moment she saw the younger version of her best friend.

Micaela greeted Selene with a bright smile, waving her hand at her.

Who would have thought that this sweet pretty lady standing before her would be the cause of her heartache and the reason why she died?

Selene just stood frozen in her spot, wearing an indescribable expression on her face.

If she had not known about Micaela's involvement in the kidnapping incident, Selene would be glad to welcome and hug her for this reunion.

"Oh, here comes the traitor," Eros mumbled thus snapping Selene back out of her deep stupor.

"Your b*tch friend… Oops, I mean your best friend!" Eros said sarcastically while giving Micaela a mocking look.

Selene's lips twitched, fighting a smile. Eros's remarks somehow made her feel a little bit better. Eros also helped her to calm herself and gather her thoughts.

Selene just sighed deeply, giving Eros a grateful look before moving her gaze back to Micaela who was now inching closer to her spot.

'Endure it, Selene. You have a mystery to solve!' Selene reminded herself.

This time she raised her hand, waving back at Micaela while forcing herself to give her a friendly smile.

At this time of the year in her previous life, Selene met Micaela just a few months ago during their University Acquaintance Party. Micaela was a transferee student taking up a Bachelor of Science in hotel and Restaurant Management.

Selene and Micaela were both graduating students this year. Selene became comfortable with her from the beginning because Micaela was very friendly and approachable.

She was very fun to talk to. Unknowingly they started talking about themselves, sharing their life stories.

However, they didn't meet yesterday since Micaela had a field trip to one of the famous hotels and resorts in the City of Empire together with other HRM students.

Micaela sat on the ground next to Selene. Eros just rolled his eyes and moved quickly before Micaela could sit on his lap.

The spot where Micaela sat was the previous spot where Eros was sitting. Since Eros was invisible to Micaela, she didn't know that someone was already occupying that spot.

Selene almost pulled Micaela fortunately Eros was quick at reacting.

'Sigh, that was a closed call. I thought Micaela would crush my cute angel on his seat accidentally.' Selene mumbled to herself, feeling relieved.

She simply glanced at Eros who just shrugged his shoulders at her.

"Hey, what's wrong with your expression? It looks like you are not happy to see me today. Are you upset with me? Did I do something wrong?" Micaela asked Selene as she noticed Selene's very reserved reaction.

Micaela was used to seeing Selene's enthusiastic behavior whenever the two of them would hang out inside the campus.

Selene remained silent, just staring at Micaela. 'Yes, you did something wrong. You stole my fiancee. You already knew that Renz was my fiancee but you still dated him behind my back! You lied to me!'

'After getting Renz, you made another scheme in which I couldn't understand your motive. Because of that, I died just to save you! Why did you do that? Why?'

Selene wanted to say those words to Micaela but she couldn't. Micaela would not understand. She didn't even know Renz as of this moment.

Micaela nudged her shoulder again. "Hey, what's with the serious face? Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me? Tell me." Micaela asked Selene anxiously.

Eros could only shake his head. Eros didn't also know the deal with Micaela. He couldn't figure out if she was just acting or not.

He was also wondering why Micaela betrayed Selene. It looked like she genuinely cared for Selene's feelings. Or maybe she was just good at pretending?

Azrael was not allowed to disclose more information about the truth regarding that kidnapping incident. He just told Eros that Micaela had something to do with it.

'Hmm, I think Selene and I should be cautious and wary against Micaela. An enemy who is disguising herself as a friend is very dangerous.' Eros thought to himself while watching Selene and Micaela.

After her long silence, Selene finally spoke to Micaela.

"I'm sorry. I'm just tired and not in a good mood today. You know… maybe my Red day is coming," Selene said as an alibi, scratching her face while smiling sheepishly at Micaela.

Eros arched his eyebrow and asked himself, "Red day? What is that?"

Selene heard Eros's faint voice. She had the urge to laugh. She was surprised that Eros had no idea about women's red days.

'Hahaha, I thought he already lived more than a 70-year-old grandpa, but how come he doesn't know about Red days. Oh, my cupid is ignorant about it.'

"Hmm, alright. You should stop eating salty and sour foods starting today to avoid cramps during your Red Day," Micaela suggested to Selene with her concerned voice.

"Yes, best. I will do that," Selene promptly responded to her.

Micaela nodded her head with a smile. "By the way, what's your plan this weekend? Will you stay here over the weekend? Or are you going home?"

"I'm going home to visit my grandma."

"Really?"

Selene bobbed her head. "Yes, how about you?"

Micaela sighed deeply, putting up a pitiful face. "I don't know. Hmmm, Best… can I come with you? I think I will be bored here since you are not here."

Micaela was also staying at the girl's dormitory.

Selene was contemplating whether to let her come with her or not.

"Can I come with you?" Micaela repeated her question with her pleading tone.
