The next morning, Selene woke up without seeing Eros in her room. She wondered where her cute little cupid ran off to without informing her.

He hasn't returned since last night. Selene waited for him to come back but Eros didn't show himself to her.

She was looking forward to having a midnight food trip with him. But in the end, she's the only one who ate all the snacks she bought for them.

She didn't want to go to bed without seeing Eros, however, she eventually got tired as time went by. She fell asleep while waiting for Eros to come back.

"I thought we would stick together after signing that contract. Why did Eros suddenly disappear?" Selene mumbled, feeling upset and at the same time feeling concerned about him.

She immediately got up to take a shower, hoping that once she came out Eros would suddenly appear again in front of her.

"Sigh, I miss my cupid," she murmured, roaming her eyes around her room one last time before she stepped into the bathroom.

Little did she know, Eros had decided not to show up to her last night since Eros was still upset with her. He just waited for Selene to fall asleep before he entered the room.

Surprisingly, after seeing Selene's peaceful sleeping figure, Eros's unhappiness toward her was reduced a little. He even fixed her position on her bed and covered her body with a blanket.

Eros could only sigh helplessly as he watched over her. He got the chance to observe Selene's face up-close.

He just realized that Selene had long thick eyelashes, making her eyes more alluring. Her small thin pink lips complimented her cute nose and beautiful round face.

By just watching her, Eros had the urge to pinch her cheeks so hard so that he could get even with her. After all, she always pinched his poor cheeks.

While observing her for several minutes, Eros had to admit that Selene was a beauty. She possessed a unique charm that could make a man be drawn to her.

He wondered why Renz didn't fall for her in the beginning. He even thought that Renz was a fool for taking Selene for granted.

Eros thought that Renz was very lucky to have someone like Selene. She loved him unconditionally. She's faithful, loyal, and very sincere. Too bad, Renz failed to reciprocate her love.

When Eros was satisfied studying her beautiful features, he decided to go out and breathe some fresh air. He was surprised when he noticed that the sun was already rising from the east.

That only meant he spent five to six hours just watching Selene's sleeping figure. He lost track of time.

When Eros came back to Selene's room, she was already taking a shower inside her bathroom. Blood rushed on Eros's cheeks right away the moment he remembered the scene where he saw Selene's naked body while she was bathing.

He immediately shook his head, trying to get the thought out of his mind. He was not supposed to think about that.

Eros just sat down on Selene's bed, waiting for her to finish. Then he saw Selene's backpack containing some of her clothes and notebook. It was placed on the foot of her bed.

Eros recalled that Selene would be going back home after her class today. She would spend the weekend with her grandmother.

For some unknown reason, Eros felt sorry for Selene. He could still imagine her sad and solemn expression when she learned that they would not be able to prolong her grandmother's life.

Selene's grandmother would still die just like what happened before. She only had a month and several weeks left to spend time with her grandmother.

"I know Selene will experience another pain and sorrow once her grandma will pass away." Eros paused, glancing at the ceiling as if he was looking at the sky.

"Sigh, why did You have to send her back to this time?" Eros mumbled, asking the heaven above.

Eros just sighed deeply. They had no choice but to accept her fate.

"Don't worry, Selene. I will help you to cope up and lessen the pain and sadness in your heart even a little," Eros had sworn to himself.

After twenty minutes, Selene finally came out of the bathroom while wearing her school uniform. Her eyes sparkled with delight upon seeing the person she was looking for since last night.

She dashed to her bed where Eros was currently sitting. When she reached his spot, Selene stood up in front of him. Without any warning, she reached out to pinch his cheeks.

"Aww! Let go of my cheeks!" Eros complained to her, trying to remove her hands away from his cheeks.

Selene released his cheeks as she put her hands on her waist, facing Eros with a serious expression on her face.

"My cute little cupid, where did you go last night? I waited for you all night! I even prepared lots of snacks for us to eat but you never showed up. What happened to you? I thought you would be by my side always?" Selene started ranting at him as if she was a mother nagging her son who didn't come home.

"Don't you know how worried I am? Don't disappear again without telling me where you are going. You are in the human world right now and you are my responsibility. So don't do it again. Is that clear?" Selene spoke spontaneously, reminding and scolding Eros.

Eros could only watch her in amusement.

'Argh, why do I feel like I just got an instant mother now? She nags so much like other mothers from this world. It seems that she will really treat me as a child because of my appearance.' Eros wanted to facepalm at that thought.

"Come, let's eat! You might be hungry. You haven't eaten anything since last night!" Selene added, pulling his hand.

Eros: "..."

'Selene, did you forget that I am a heavenly being. It's fine even if I don't eat human food.'
