Eros just lay down on the ground, waiting for the pain to subside. He even teared up because of the excruciating pain she inflicted on him just now. It was a hard kick coming from Selene.

"Selene, how could you do this to me? Why? I'm your cupid! What did I do to deserve this punishment?!" Eros complained while looking at the night sky.

"Hahahaha, your human contractee is so fierce!" Azrael came out of his hiding place and appeared to Eros once more.

As expected, Azrael saw everything that happened between Eros and Selene on that football field. He would not let go of this opportunity to tease Eros.

Eros just got beaten up by a woman, his human contractee. She even kicked his most precious thing. Azrael almost died from laughing too much, fortunately, he was an immortal.

Eros looked daggers at Azrael. To think about it, Azrael was the one to blame for Eros's misfortune today. He was the one who changed the location of Eros's portal.

"Leave me alone, you ugly skeleton! This is your fault. I was the one who suffered because of your evil deed. I shouldn't have offered you help in the first place. Zaki should have been punishing you by now," Eros lamented to him, feeling irritated.

Azrael stopped laughing after seeing the dark expression of Eros. He was truly mad right now. He even mentioned Zaki, the scary leader of the grim reapers. Azrael cleared his throat and decided to join Eros, sitting down beside him.

"Alright. I will not tease you. You already got enough beating for tonight." Azrael tried his best to hold his laughter. Eros just shot him a cold sharp glare.

"Why are you still here? Don't you have a job to collect souls and guide them to the Netherworld?" Eros asked him, lifting an eyebrow.

"I just dropped by to check on you and that human girl. Honestly, I am still bothered by the unexpected incident. Someone who is not written in the book of death died. This is a very rare case. If Zaki learned about this, I would really be in trouble." Azrael had become serious now.

"Hey, did you really regret helping me out? If mother angel of love didn't send you, I wonder what would happen to Selene and me" he added, observing Eros who was still wearing an ugly expression on his face.

Eros fell silent for a moment, asking himself if he did really regret it. Selene's lovely face crossed his mind.

'If we didn't intervene then Selene would never get her second chance. Of course, I didn't regret helping Azrael. I just said those words a while ago because I was pissed but I didn't mean it that way.'

After gathering his thoughts, Eros sighed deeply.

"I didn't regret it. I just want to beat you right now for giving me trouble. My human contractee thinks of me as a psycho pervert?! Who would be happy with that?!" Eros answered Azrael truthfully.

Azrael just smiled sheepishly at Eros. He knew where he was coming from.

"Alright. I'm sorry about that…" Azrael finally apologized to Eros.

"Hmm, okay. Just let me punch you at least!" Eros demanded, but Azrael just shook his head while chuckling.

"By the way, I was surprised when your human contractee could see us. She was not supposed to see us in this form a while ago. How come we became visible to her?" Azrael asked Eros, feeling puzzled.

"I have no idea as well. Maybe it's related to what happened to her. She died and we interacted with her in the Land of the Lost Souls. Maybe she got the ability to see heavenly beings like us after that," Eros shared his speculation with Azrael.

"Hmm, probably. That's the only possible explanation I could see right now."

After saying that, Azrael stood up, getting ready to leave Eros.

"Are you finally leaving now?" Eros asked, sitting up.

Azrael arched his eyebrow in amusement and said, "Why? Are you missing me already?"

Eros chuckled dryly, crossing his arms while saying "No way! Missing you my foot. In your dreams! Go and leave, you ugly skeleton!"

Azrael gave him a smug smile. It seemed that Eros was up to another round of teasing and provocation.

"Oh wait, one more thing… before I leave. I can't still accept your words when you say that I'm not suitable for a cupid's task."

"So…?" Eros mumbled, giving him a questioning gaze.

Azrael stood in front of Eros, grinning mischievously. "I, Azrael, the grim reaper of the Eastern Gate, cast a love spell on Eros, the cupid from Angel's Agape Realm. I declare that Eros will fall in love with someone! Thus, he will acknowledge my capability of becoming a certified cupid like him."

Eros: "..."

"Aww!"

Eros just threw a stone at Azrael, hitting his forehead.

"What nonsense are you spouting, Angel of Death?!"

Azrael just burst out laughing. "Hahaha, Relax! I'm just kidding! Why? Are you afraid that my words will come true?"

"Oops, beware of the Love spell from an angel of death like me. Your love might become deadly!" Azrael added.

He had fun getting lots of scores against Eros tonight!

"Scram, Azrael! SCRAM!!! Go away!" Eros said with his infuriated voice. His face reddened from rage and annoyance.

Before Eros could grind him into pieces, Azrael said goodbye to Eros. He was already satisfied getting Eros enraged tonight.

"Goodbye, my baby cupid friend! See you around! Send my regards to Selene. Tell her I was amazed by her fighting style."

Azrael winked at Eros after saying those words. It did not take long when he completely vanished from his sight.

"Sigh! I think it's already time to go back. Argh!!! I don't know how I will face Selene without getting upset. She punched me and she kicked me! Oh, My most precious thing! Argh. D*mn… it really hurts." Eros rubbed the part that was still aching as he heaved a frustrated sigh.
