Reborn As A Giant Scorpion: Evolution By Consumption Chapter 27

In the valley, the fire was still burning, emitting thick smoke.
In front of the fire, a man and a scorpion were ten meters apart, staring at each other. The atmosphere was extremely tense.
Alex looked at the mustached Valk in front of him, raising his tail high.
He was looking for an opportunity to attack.
Valk stood here and was ready to attack. His spine was raised high, like a fully charged bow.
Both of them were waiting for the other to reveal their weakness.
Valk's heart was beating strongly. He had raised the Scorpion Mercenary Group by himself.
No one knew better than him how strong their combat ability was. However, he didn't expect that this scorpion would kill all of them.
All of this showed how powerful this scorpion was.
More importantly, Valk discovered the shell casings that had fallen on the ground in the valley.
There were quite many bullet casings, and they had even fired the rocket launcher. The equipment was enough to kill a bronze-level superpowered person.
However, it turned out that all the mercenaries were dead, but the scorpion was unharmed.
Valk narrowed his eyes. If it were him, he definitely wouldn't have been able to deal with these armed mercenaries so quickly.
But Alex did it.
He not only did it but he was not injured at all. It was too terrifying!
At the same time, this was also why he did not dare to make the first move.
But Alex had destroyed all the effort he had put in for so many years in an instant.
Valk could not swallow his anger.
No matter what, he had to kill this scorpion. Looking at the burning smoke behind him, he had some confidence.
The fire burned the vines in the valley. The fire was fierce. No one knew what it burned, but it made a "Boom" sound.

Under Alex's gaze, Valk made his move.
He kicked out an oval-shaped rock. This rock weighed at least a hundred pounds, and the friction made the air whoosh.
At the same time, he made his move. Alex also rushed to Valk. He turned his body to dodge the enormous rock, and his two large pincers came at Valk with a cold and fierce aura.
Valk flipped his body and dodged. He suddenly pulled out a large caliber revolver from behind him. He fired six consecutive bullets towards Alex's eyes.
Alex used his two pincers to block. The bullets hit his scorpion feet, making a "Bang Bang" sound.
"It didn't penetrate!" Valk was shocked.
That was his specially customized M500 large caliber pistol. Its full name was the Smith & Wesson M500 Revolver.
In the history of human machinery, the M500 is known as the king of hand guns.
The M500 revolver's caliber is 12.7 mm, the length of the gun is up to 457 mm, while the famous Desert Eagle caliber is only 11.43 mm, the length of it is 267 mm.
The M500 revolver uses magnum high power pistol bullets; the bullet's kinetic energy can reach 4000 joules, almost double the Desert Eagle.
It was also because of the incredible power of the M500 revolver that it was often called the king of handguns.
Alex certainly would not give him a chance to reload. Two large pincers aimed at Valk's neck, and the sting of the tail was like a bolt of lightning, striking where Valk was just now.
Valk rolled along the ground to dodge, and the whistling scorpion tail directly split a massive rock on the floor.
Valk was shocked. He looked at the rock that had split in half from the middle. Valk also lost two large-caliber pistols because Alex did not give him a chance.

Alex continued to approach. He was also a little surprised because he did not expect Valk's body to be so flexible that he could dodge his attack. However, he would not be so lucky next time.
He waved his large pincers repeatedly, blocking Valk's escape route from four directions. At the same time, he quickly raised his tail and stabbed Valk's head, trapping him.
At this moment, Alex felt a strong sense of danger and moved to the side.
Meanwhile, a white fireball flew past his body. He looked at his scorpion feet. There were some burn marks.
Although they weren't intense, the pitch-black burning brought a slight sting. Alex was surprised by the temperature of the fire. It was at least a thousand degrees.
He should not have underestimated the strength of a superpowered person.
Alex stared at Valk, whose hands were burning with flames. The flames were in the shape of water droplets, different from ordinary ones. The outermost layer of these flames was white, and the middle was light green. They jumped slightly. Alex could feel the scorching temperature inside even at a distance of dozens of meters.
Despite this, Alex didn't show any fear. Instead, there was a trace of excitement. The more powerful a superpowered person was, the more evolution points he would obtain after devouring him.
It seemed that this was a rich feast.
Valk raised the burning flames with both hands and said with a vicious gaze, "Damn scorpion, I'll turn you into ashes today."
His hands moved quickly like a basketball player, throwing fireballs at Alex. Some of the flames fell on the ground, some on rocks, and some fell in puddles, crackling and burning.
In less than half a minute, Valk threw more than ten fireballs. These fireballs were provided by a unique ability, just like human muscles. After you were tired, you needed to wait a specific time before you could continue to use this ability.
With such high-intensity output, Valk could not hold on any longer.
Seeing Alex dodge nimbly, his heart became more and more anxious. Damn it.
This scorpion's speed was too fast.
He could not keep up with its speed at all.
It could always dodge the fireballs the moment he threw them out. In other words, this scorpion had rich combat experience and powerful prediction ability.
Even humans couldn't achieve these abilities without more than ten years of accumulation.
He didn't expect to be shocked by a scorpion today.
If this scorpion continued, he would be exhausted to death.
Alex had been waiting for an opportunity. Although superpowered people were influential, they needed a long cooldown time. Once their superpowers were exhausted, it would be the end of the superpowered people.
Therefore, most superpowered people would choose to cultivate their physique besides their superpowers and develop a killing technique.
To make up for their shortcomings.
Of course, not all superpowered people were like this. Some superpowered people were born with powerful superpowers. They had many kinds of superpowers, such as fire, lightning, wind blades...
However, they were sporadic.
Alex had been waiting for this moment. At this moment, Valk didn't have any strength anymore.
He couldn't even stand still.
Just as Alex was about to use the large pincers to cut off his head, Valk mumbled something.
The sea of fire behind him suddenly turned into a flame tongue and quickly gathered in his bulging hands, forming into a giant fireball.

Disclaimer of sorts: I am non-native English writer that used to write mostly for himself. After my last computer decided to die on me taking all my works with it I lost the desire to write for quite a long time. This is my attempt to go find motivation to write again as this was my favourite hobby. The idea is to be held accountable. As for being non-native, I don't believe that should be a major issue as I feel my proficiency in English to be sufficient enough to not be too much of the distraction. That said, be forewarned that the rules governing punctuation are beyond my grasp. All I can do is try not to completely suck at that. As mentioned this is an attempt to motivate me to write again so any message, encouragement or constructive criticism will go long way.
