Reborn As A Giant Scorpion: Evolution By Consumption Chapter 25

"My God, is this true?"
"F*ck, I really can't believe that there is such a huge scorpion in this world."
"What Titan said is true. That is the first time I've seen such a huge scorpion."
"It chased after us, ah!"
Everyone in the Scorpion Mercenary Group was shocked.
They looked at Alex in disbelief; they opened their eyes widely.
The moment Titan saw Alex, he immediately ran behind Laura and the others. He looked at the Giant Golden Scorpion in fear; he was already afraid.
His spirit had already collapsed.
The other mercenaries in the valley seemed to have noticed the strange situation; they all raised their guns and ran out. When they saw Alex's figure, they were all stunned on the spot.
"Is this true? I can't believe my eyes. I saw a scorpion that was taller than a person."
"F*ck, I feel like I'm dreaming."
Alex looked at everyone in the Scorpion mercenary group. His heart was already bursting with joy.
There were a total of ten people. That was a wave of evolution energy.
Huh?
They had rocket missiles. It seemed that this mercenary group's influence was potent.
However, in the face of absolute strength, everything was in vain.
Even if they had an atomic bomb, Alex was confident that he could kill them before they could activate the device.
Alex waved his claws and rushed towards the Scorpion Mercenary Group with his tail raised.
After these few evolutions, his claws were already comparable to a blade. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to break its defense and pierce into its flesh when dealing with the Hydra King.
As time passed, Alex's combat experience became richer.
Before anyone could react, his two pincers smashed the heads of the two mercenaries.
"Bang!" Two crisp sounds rang out.

At the same time, he used his tail.
His tail lashed out at the heads of the two mercenaries, throwing them dozens of meters away. Alex could hear shrill screams from afar.
It was this scream that allowed them to regain their consciousness.
Laura roared and ordered everyone to fire back. Instantly, the sound of clattering echoed throughout the valley.
Alex moved forward in the rain of bullets like a bulldozer. Every move he made could kill one or two mercenaries. The thick smell of blood filled the valley.
He was invincible.
He was too bloody.
Some mercenaries could not stand the fear of death and fled into the distance. However, they were not as fast as Alex. In the blink of an eye, they were caught and killed.
How could Alex let these evolutionary energies escape?
It was impossible.
In just a few seconds, they had already lost six elite mercenaries. Moreover, there were a total of ten mercenaries in their team, including Valk.
These were all personally raised by Valk. They were courageous and, more importantly, loyal. To train them better, Valk had paid an enormous price.
But now, with Alex's merciless pincers, everything had turned into ashes.
They wanted to move closer to the next class, becoming C-rank poachers. But their hopes were gone.
Among the poachers, they were a vast organization. The mercenaries there were strictly divided into grades. According to the C, B, A, and S grades, the higher the grade, the higher their strength and money.
But all of this was destroyed by Alex.
Laura could not bear it. His eyes were red as he gripped the submachine gun in his hand.
The muzzle of the weapon flickered with blue flames in the night. Laura went crazy.
However, when the bullets shot onto Alex's body, they were all bounced back.

There was no effect at all.
Alex continued to hunt the poachers. His big claws came in handy. He sliced back and forth like a dagger, piercing through one of the poachers.
The poacher stared as if he couldn't believe that he had died under the claws of a scorpion.
Alex was a crazy slayer. Blood splattered everywhere in the valley. He did not need to show mercy to these ruthless poachers because there was no need.
There was no pressure or burden in his heart because they deserved to die.
On the other side, looking at the fallen poachers, Laura revealed fierce eyes. It was not Alex who he hated the most now, but the damn Titan.
If it were not for this guy running over to their territory, this giant scorpion would not have attacked them at all.
They would not have suffered such a huge loss.
Almost all of them were dead.
Alex was still slaughtering, and the poachers were still struggling with blood and fear. Laura wanted to shoot this bastard Titan right now, but he did not even find this guy's figure after a glance.
"F*ck, he sneaked away!" Laura cursed angrily.
Yes, Titan had just slipped away.
Just when Alex was killing all around, Titan saw that the situation was not right. Taking advantage of the fact that the surroundings were not paying attention to him, he drilled into the dense vines.
He thought that he did it flawlessly and did not attract anyone's attention.
But all these actions did not escape Alex's surveillance.
At this moment, in the valley, Laura took the rocket launcher from the poacher's hands and shouted, "Go to hell!"
"Bang!"
Like the roar of an engine, a sound that shook the valley rushed towards Alex with a strong force.
After killing the poachers on this side, Alex suddenly felt enormous energy behind him.
He knew that the enemy had used a rocket launcher.
The rocket launcher carried a considerable amount of kinetic energy. It rolled towards Alex, but he was not afraid because he knew that this was only a small-caliber rocket launcher.
Although it was compelling, it was a full-scale explosion.
In terms of impact, the rocket launcher could not even compare to a sizeable armor-piercing missile.
Alex's gaze was tense as he extended his scorpion foot towards the incoming rocket.
Laura and another mercenary, who was watching from afar, revealed a bloodthirsty smile.
Who would have thought that this giant scorpion would take the rocket launcher directly?
Beasts were beasts. They would never be as intelligent as humans. They were reckless.
It deserved to die tragically under the rocket.
They laughed coldly, but in the next moment, they were stunned.
The rocket that was fired by them got hit by Alex's foot. He shot it in their direction.
Facing the roaring rocket, Laura could even feel the heat of the fire.
"F*ck."
"Damn it!"
When the two of them were trying to run away, the rocket hit where they were just now. With a loud explosion, the two of them were charred black.
Laura looked in Alex's direction. His lips moved twice, but there was no breath left.

After Z
The signs were all there. A mysterious fever spreading in the wake of the pandemic. Increasing incidents of unrest with surprisingly little coverage by the media. Breakdowns in basic services. Nick had thought for years that total social collapse would come in his lifetime – he just never expected that collapse to come from the unquiet dead. As soon as he was sure enough that the potential danger outweighed the awkwardness of admitting that yes, the dead were rising, Nick grabbed his bug out bag and bugged out. It felt, at times, that the zombie movies, comics, and games he’d grown up with had been preparing for this moment. And Nick was right. But also very very wrong. After Z is an apocalyptic occult interactive serial about survivors hiding from the dead in a forest preserve. A new chapter is posted every week, and every week supporters vote on which way the story flows. This story will be added to daily until it's caught up with its current state elsewhere; if you don't want to wait you can read ahead on my blog.

Rooms of the Desolate
Rooms of the Desolate is a collection of short stories designed to guide the reader through the many rooms and mysteries of the bleak and greyscale labyrinth of the Desolate. The first entry, "The Forever Tower" follows an unnamed wanderer climbing an endless, colourless tower; the only world they have ever known. As they slowly ascend alongside the masses, they consider the nature of their world and look to the corridors as temptation beckons. The second entry, "Production Line", follows an engineer in a boundless factory, who encounters a product that does not wish to bow to the overseers and makes them question their belief in the truth and duties they were made to believe. Content guidelines: Current entries do not include explicit profanity, but future entries may do so, hence the presence of that tag. Some entries do include gore and violence, though not currently to particularly extreme degrees. The Desolate is exactly that: a desolate world; as such, it is bleak, downtrodden, and may deal with mental struggles. Cover art credit: Adam Borkowski on Pexels.
