Reborn As A Giant Scorpion: Evolution By Consumption Chapter 22

Poachers were at their most rampant in the mid-19th century.
They hunted in teams and went on a killing spree, causing a massive decline in the number of species in the world.
The rapid development of science and technology globally resulted in the immediate loss of jungle areas and the destruction of the ecological environment.
When humans finally found out, they could not salvage the extinct species, and many animals were on the edge of extinction.
To protect the diversity of the species and stabilize the ecological chain, the World Wildlife Conservation Association issued a decree advocating the protection of wild animals by the governments of all countries.
They severely cracked down on poachers, banned the sale of wild animals, and advocated a harmonious and civilized ecological environment.
Although all countries strictly forbade the hunting of rare animals, there had been a huge black market for wildlife trade for a long time. The annual flow of funds alone was as high as hundreds of billions of dollars.
For the sake of money and profits, many mercenary groups still took risks and continued to hunt crazily.
Therefore, these poachers quietly shifted their gaze to the Amazon rainforest.
Because this area had a natural barrier, the environment was harsh, the terrain was complex, and the traffic was brutal. These were the natural protective layers for the poachers.
Unfortunately, even if others discovered them, it would be difficult for the officials to encircle them.
That resulted in hundreds of poachers' organizations operating in the Amazon rainforest.
Among them, the leopard poachers were one of the more well-known organizations here.
The leopard poachers had been hunting here for decades. They had rich hunting experience, powerful equipment, and strong mercenaries.
Over the past ten years, they hunted thousands of rare species listed as the most protected animals in the world. Simply put, they hunted whatever was valuable.
That was because these rare creatures could make considerable profits in the South American wild animal black market. As night came, Alex hid on a small hill and looked at one of the tents.

They were all members of the leopard poachers. One of them was a muscular man who was sitting in the front and eating hot pot.
It was Kurt's boss, Titan.
On his left and right were three white men and two black men. Even when they were eating, they were carrying submachine guns and were extremely cautious.
"F*ck, why is Kurt not back yet? He died on the road?" Titan was a little angry.
He couldn't wait anymore. Titan took a deep breath, thinking of the pretty woman, and a vague image appeared in his mind.
Those proud breasts, soft waist, and snow-white thighs flashed in his mind one by one. As if it had ignited an atomic bomb, Titan's whole body was hot from the explosion.
"Boss, could it be that Kurt couldn't help it and start to playing with the women on the way here?" One of the men, Wittes, said with a smile.
Kurt was usually quite passionate about women, so probably he couldn't help himself.
Titan snorted angrily. "If he dares, I will make sure that he won't be able to use that thing for the rest of his life."
The bald man, Connors, said with a smile, "Boss, don't be anxious. Perhaps Kurt is on the way here, and a group of locals is so easy to deal with. We will only have strength after we have eaten and drunk enough. When the time comes, let those little girls have a taste of our Boss's heroic power!"
"You are right. Our Boss's strength is not just for show. No matter how powerful a woman is, she can only cry and beg for mercy when she is under our Boss. He once killed a little girl because he didn't control his strength. Her erect body has become stiff."
As soon as Rogil's voice fell, the few of them revealed a look of surprise. They all extended their thumbs towards Titan. Titan's gaze was filled with pride as he patted his chest.

"This little thing is not worth mentioning!" Titan waved his hand, but he could not hide the pride on his face.
"Big Brother, you have to be careful this time. Don't play her to death," Raziel said.
Titan said, "Don't worry. After I'm done playing, everyone will take turns to come. Brothers, enjoy the blessings together."
"Thank you, Boss."
A look of surprise appeared in their eyes. During this period, they had been holding the urge in. If there were a woman to play within the rainforest, it would be a good choice.
At this moment, they heard a burst of hurried footsteps. Their right hand quickly touched the submachine gun, and they turned their heads to look behind with cold eyes.
This figure was the one who hunted the mother leopard, Cotton.
Cotton shouted for help and looked back from time to time as if something was chasing after him.
Because he was running so fast, Cotton even fell. He looked terrible.
Titan was a little confused when he saw this. What was going on?
Where did the other three go?
Did they run into other poachers' organizations?
"Boss, Help!" Cotton ran to the front of the tent and panted, "Boss, they're all dead. They're all dead."
Cotton's terrified expression made Titan and the others frown.
"What happened? Who died? Why didn't Quentin and Sam come back? Did you run into other poachers' organizations?" Titan questioned.
"No, it was a huge scorpion. It killed Sam and the others," Cotton said in fear.
"Scorpion?" Titan sneered, "What's the big deal about a Scorpion? Just kill it."
Wait!
"You said that scorpion killed Sam? How is that possible! Did you not shoot at that time? Was the gun on your shoulders for decoration?"
Titan would never have thought of Alex's awesomeness. He was not afraid of bullets and was fast.
Cotton shook his head and took a deep breath. "Boss, we shot, but the scorpion was too fast. Sam and the others could not react at all and were killed. The scorpion was more than two meters long. It was too terrifying."
Vitus said in disbelief, "Cotton, how many times have I told you not to suck that thing? Are you hallucinating again? How can there be such a big scorpion in this world?"
"It's true. I saw the giant scorpion kill Sam with my own eyes. It broke Quentin's neck. Its two pincers were like invincible scissors, and it was not afraid of bullets at all. Even if we shot, we couldn't keep up with its agile speed. What was more terrible was its tail. It was like a whip made of steel. It could easily crush a person's head. It was like a baseball bat hitting a watermelon. A person's head was just like that watermelon. It was too horrible to look at."
Cotton was on the verge of collapse. If he had not seen it with his own eyes, he would not have believed that there was such a giant golden scorpion in this world, with such a ferocious attack and such an agile speed.
Hearing Cotton's description, the other poachers were stunned. If what he said was true, then…
Titan's hunting experience was vibrant. He had a strong suspicion that perhaps this scorpion had already arrived at his camp, or maybe it was hiding in a secret place, waiting to launch an attack.
Because if the scorpion was so powerful, Cotton would not have the chance to escape.
And now he was standing in front of him safe and sound. There was only one possibility.
Was this scorpion waiting for the time to attack?
This thought appeared in Titan's mind, and he was immediately shocked into a cold sweat.
This scorpion was probably very intelligent. Just as he was thinking this, he suddenly saw a giant scorpion foot, and his eyes immediately widened in shock.

8 59Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment!
