Reborn As A Giant Scorpion: Evolution By Consumption Chapter 17

Alex decided to go to the primitive tribe to take a look. Perhaps there would be some discoveries.
The mysterious ruins, the tantalising Amaryllis, and the Dragon Snake tribe's Coiling Serpent Pagoda all had the shadow of a super-intelligent entity.
If extraterrestrial life had descended on Earth in the past, there would be some traces left behind.
The "True God's emissary" could be the extraterrestrials before or the tribes that had visited them in the past/ They would use powerful methods to intimidate them and thus be worshipped as gods by them.
If that was the case, this trip to the tribes was a perfect opportunity.
Seeing Alex return, the hunters of the Nata tribe who were kneeling on the ground became excited.
Some waved their hands, and some shouted excitedly. God did not give up on them.
The ancestors of the Natas had passed down from generation to generation. They were the people of God. When they were in danger, a mysterious round object fell from the sky.
A mysterious person with a big head and a small body helped them drive away the ferocious animals.
At that time, there was a golden scorpion behind the mysterious person.
To thank God for his arrival, the ancestors of the Nata tribe built a temple in the tribe's land of worship. They enshrined the statue of the scorpion in the temple.
The Nata tribe's Aborigines firmly believed that God would come for a second time and help their tribe become stronger one day.
However, after hundreds of years, God never appeared again. The locals thought that God had abandoned them. Many people were disappointed, but they did not give up.
But just now, they saw the "Messenger of God." It turned out that God had not abandoned them. Instead, God only cared about the Nata tribe.
That was why, one day, they discovered the giant golden scorpion that came near their tribe.
At this moment, the hunter of the Nata tribe was so excited that his whole body was trembling. He wanted to bring the "Messenger of God" back to the tribe and let the people worship him.

Looking at the excited look of this group of Aborigines, Alex raised his scorpion foot and gently patted the middle-aged man in front of him.
This person was the leader of the hunters, Mcgee. His little nephew, Mike, was hiding behind him, looking at Alex curiously.
Mcgee was patted on the head by Alex's scorpion foot. Shock and fear filled his heart. The Messenger of God seemed to have changed his mind.
What was frightening was that such a giant scorpion was thick and massive. With just a light pinch, it would be able to clip off a person's head.
Mcgee bowed respectfully and was about to lead the way, but suddenly, a person rushed over with a hint of anxiety on his face.
The person looked at the enormous golden giant scorpion in front of him; he was first shocked. Then, under Mcgee's explanation, he slowly recovered.
Alex looked at the man's clothes. He was also a Nata villager.
"Mcgee, our tribe is surrounded. There are many poachers. They are holding submachine guns. As a result, they hurt many of us."
"What?" Maggie was shocked. "How did the poachers come to our tribe? What happened?"
The man panted and said, "Two days ago, three people came to our village. One Man and two women. The poachers seemed to be coming for them."
Alex knew that these three people might be Diana, Alice, and Harden.
Because they did not enter the ruins in this vast Amazon rainforest, the most significant chance of survival was to go to the primitive tribes.
Mcgee seemed to be in a hurry.
Alex suddenly thought of a way to evolve in a short time. Usual prey was unlikely to help, and those super creatures deep in the Amazon were too dangerous. Swallowing poachers was a great idea.
In his previous life, he knew that certain regulatory agencies would increase the performance of law enforcement and chose to fish law enforcement.
I am the hunter, you are the prey.

Slowly attract them to come and kill them step by step.
At this time, Alex formed a great idea in his mind. If everything went smoothly, the fifth evolution would be easy.
Alex decided to add poachers to its diet.
Although he did not take the initiative to hunt humans, he would not show any mercy if those humans were to try to kill him.
"Please, help us get through this disaster." Mcgee and the others all knelt.
Alex waved its pincers and pointed into the distance, indicating for them to lead the way. Even if these people did not say anything, he would still go to the Nata tribe.
After all, this was all evolutionary energy.
Seeing that the oracle had agreed to save the Nata tribe, Mcgee and the others knelt on the ground once again, their faces filled with deep worship and gratitude.
As expected, God had come to save the Nata tribe, which was why he had sent the oracle to help them.
Under Mcgee's lead, Alex and the others quickly rushed to the tribe.
...
At this time, in a specific part of the mountain, there were hundreds of thatched huts.
Nata tribe built their houses very simply. There were scattered stones piled up below, and they covered the top with thatched grass.
Perhaps it was because it had been a long time, the stones below were covered with green moss.
In front of a stone-paved step, five or six poachers pointed their submachine guns at some Nata clan members. The leader was Kurt, who had previously surrounded Diana.
At this moment, Kurt stood in front of the staircase and said coldly, "I know that the two women are hiding in your tribe. Hand them over, or else..."
"Hehe!" He revealed a dark and cold smile and suddenly raised his submachine gun and shot towards the sky.
"Da Da Da!"
The continuous and dense gunshots were like hammers striking at the hearts of the Nata people.
Fear filled their eyes. Some children hid behind their parents in fear, covering their mouths tightly with tears in their eyes.
They wanted to resist, but the gun in Kurt's hand terrified them.
Although they were a primitive tribe and used ancient longbows for hunting, it didn't mean that they didn't know those modern weapons.
That was the internationally famous Ak-47, a hundred times more potent than their arrows. They once wanted to get one for hunting, but the high price forced them to retreat.
There were also hot-blooded youths in the tribe. They wanted to pick up their weapons to fight against these hateful invaders, but the tribe leader stopped them.
They were all brutal poachers who had lost their humanity. Moreover, they had powerful weapons in their hands. Resisting was just a meaningless sacrifice.
The only hope now was that Mcgee would rush back.
He was a brave warrior of the Nata race. He was also brilliant. He would have a way to deal with these detestable intruders.
Looking at the group of locals remaining silent, Kurt licked the corner of his mouth with fierce eyes. "I'll repeat it now. Where are the two women?"
As he spoke, the other poachers pointed their cold muzzles at the Nata race. It was as if the muzzles of their guns would emit blue flames in the next moment.
At this moment, an old man in his sixties said, "Sir, we haven't seen any women. Could you be mistaken?"
This old adult was the leader of the Nata tribe, Slick.
Kurt seemed to have expected them to say this. But, first, he waved his hand at the crowd. Then, under the incredulous gazes of the Nata tribe members, a young man in his twenties walked out and stood behind Kurt.
"Ward, you traitor!"

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

The Traitor Games
Welcome to the Traitor Games, and congratulations on your invitation to join as one of the races putting on a show for the galaxy. Your species has been judged as too violent for integration into the Galactic Conglomerate and thus the decision has been made to relegate you to a probationary period during which members of your species will be pitted against each other in games of lies and betrayal. Unfortunate, but the great thing about a probationary period is that it can end! How can we do that; you might be asking. Well, that's easy, if those participants can earn enough points through playing the games, they can potentially buy out your probationary time. Of course, other rewards will also be on offer for success in the games, and if none of your species chooses to be selfless, well then it just goes to show that you wouldn't have been a good fit for us anyway. All those on Earth unlucky enough to not be chosen to become part of one of the most popular shows on Galactic Television, fear not. We will be streaming the various games your race is participating in all across the world. Should we run out of participants, even with our most generous three life system, we will draw more from the population. Good Luck! Noah Landry is one of these participants, he just doesn't know it yet. He blacks out while walking to the local bar McCaffery's, and finds himself, somewhere else. He's wearing clothing he doesn't remember putting on and rocking an absolute banger of a headache. Now he needs to figure out where he is, what's going on, and how he can get out of the Traitor Games. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
