Reborn As A Giant Scorpion: Evolution By Consumption Chapter 13

"The toads and pythons that you devoured before might have antibodies in their bodies. In other words, there is a high-energy force controlling them to evolve in a favorable direction," the system replied.
Alex thought for a moment and said, "If there are higher intelligent beings, they left behind so many Amaryllis that have the power to facilitate the evolution of living things. Do they want to occupy the Earth?"
That didn't make sense.
Since they had such advanced technology, it would be easy for them to destroy Earth. Why did they make so many moves? Wasn't it contradictory?
After all, with Earth's technology level, it had only developed for a few hundred years. In the universe, it would be like a grain of sand.
"System, do you know?" Alex said.
"Host, they might be conducting some mysterious experiment," the system said.
What experiment?
There were so many planets. Why did they choose Earth?
And why did the Dragon Snake tribe disappear?
These questions puzzled Alex. It was as if he had fallen into a vast whirlpool.
Legend had it that the Dragon Snake tribe was an alien race that could communicate with extraterrestrial life forms. Some people saw a flash of light in the sky at the end of the 20th century. The place where it landed was the Amazon rainforest.
At that time, was it an advanced intelligence that had descended to Earth?
What was their purpose?
Would they descend to Earth again?
These were all unknown, but Alex thought that he had to speed up his evolution. No one knew when and why the aliens would descend to Earth the next time.
He felt enormous pressure to become more powerful, more robust. Only by becoming stronger could he not be afraid of any danger.

At this moment, Alex had a hunch. His opponent was not humans, and his battlefield was not on Earth but in the depths of the universe. That was where his actual goal was.
"System, can I swallow these flowers?" Alex asked.
The Amaryllis that were scattered all over the ground were strangely alluring. Alex couldn't pretend like he didn't want them. These were all waves of evolutionary energy.
However, if he became like what the system said, unable to control the gene strands in its body, he would not choose to devour these flowers.
Perhaps, one second, he was still a scorpion, and the next second, he would become a crab.
Although it was a little exaggerated, there were too many strange people and strange things in the world.
In his previous life, he was still a human. However, he had suddenly become a scorpion in this life and possessed the ability to evolve endlessly. If this did not happen, he would not believe it.
"Host, don't worry. I can still control it. I won't make you lose your face. After all, I am a unique existence in this world."
Alex thought about it. 99.9%. Was that about the same as 100%?
He did not know if these Amaryllis could allow him to evolve again.
This time, Alex spent a total of an hour. When he devoured the first Amaryllis, he obtained 180 evolution points. Just like before, as he finished more Amaryllis, his evolution points would decrease.
The second time, he obtained 100 evolution points. The third time, he got 80 evolution points. Finally, when he devoured the Amaryllis for the fourth time, he received a pitiful 60 evolution points.
...
When he devoured 53 Amaryllis, the effects were minimal.
He obtained a total of 1,324 evolution points. Now that he had met the requirements for evolution, he was not in a rush.

That was because there was still the Hydra King and four human corpses waiting for him outside. Those corpses had a tremendous amount of evolutionary energy!
Looking at the Amaryllis that covered the entire underground world, Alex felt a little regretful. If it weren't for the fact that the evolution points decreased with the number of times it devoured, these Amaryllis would be enough for him to attempt his seventh evolution.
However, Alex gave up this thought in an instant.
After Alex devoured the Hydra King, he crawled back into the palace. He gathered Jack and the others together and activated devour!
Now, he only had two words in his mind: become stronger!
...
On the other side, Diana and the others returned along the same path. They were ready to find a place and wait for Charles and the others.
However, they met poachers. They were well-equipped, and there were many of them. But, no matter how good their strength was, they could not compete with bullets.
In the desolate Amazon rainforest, women were like precious animals.
That was especially true for Diana's classic western beauty. She had long blonde hair, sparkling white skin, and was wearing a tight leather jacket. Her figure was well-proportioned.
The peaks on her chest, which were round and full, intensely stimulating everyone's eyes incredibly.
Alice was not bad either. Although her skin was slightly dark, it revealed a fierce aura. Perhaps it was because the two of them had practiced martial arts before, these two girls maintained their figures at a golden ratio, and their butts were high.
When they saw the two beauties, the poachers were dumbfounded.
Their eyes were about to pop out of their sockets. But, instead, they swallowed hard and stared at their private parts, licking their dry lips.
"Diana, what should we do?" Alice asked cautiously.
"Don't panic; just adapt to the situation," Diana whispered.
"Hey, girls. You are also here to hunt, aren't you? The rainforest is so dangerous, how about following us? When we catch some extra prey, we can share some with you," a bearded man laughed shamelessly.
He was the leader of this place, known as Explosive Fist Kurt.
"Not interested, go away."
Diana had yet to say anything, but Alice coldly refused.
"Big bro, this chick is pretty hot. Later, we can... Haha, Let's see if she still dares to talk back to you."
"This godforsaken place, I've been here for more than a month; I'm about to explode."
"These two chicks were given to us by God. We can't let them escape."
"Boss hasn't touched a woman in a long time. So if we capture them and offer them to him, he will put us in an important position."
Hearing their shameless voices, Diana and Alice were both furious, but there were six of them.
Fighting head-on was not the way.
She quietly touched Alice's palm. The two of them looked at each other and quietly moved backward.
They thought of an idea.
Lime powder.
They had sprinkled lime outside when setting up the tent to block some snakes, insects, rats, and ants.
They did not expect it to come in handy now.
"Catch them!"
At this moment, Kurt roared.

Saints and Suffering: A Naruto Fanfiction
Synopsis: Naruto and Sasuke were unable to defeat Kaguya the first time around, and suffer immensely for their failure. They travel back in time to right their wrongs, but struggle with the repercussions of their failure and the unintended consequences of their actions. Author's Note: This is fanfiction, I am a first time author, and I make no claims nor guarantees to quality. I have another story floating around in my head, but I am writing this first in order to practice my skills and gain feedback. Please feel free to give constructive criticism, I will try to read and respond. No guarantees to upload schedule or speed will be made. I work a full time job, and I am not particularly fast at writing, though maybe speed will increase as I become more practiced with my storytelling. This work will essentially be my playground moving forward; I'm going to write about scenarios that tickle my fancy, and the overall story may suffer from it. I will endeavor to keep continuity though. I have an outline that I am working on, and there is an overall arc to the story already. Furthermore, as of the beginning of this novel, my intention with this novel is to explore negative emotions and use my writing as a form of meditation/therapy. When I am sad, I will write sad things, and when I'm happy, the story will be happy. Lastly, there will be religious undertones every once in a while. Hopefully nothing too heavy handed though.
