Chapter 298: 298 “Fine Ambassador . I apologize for your poor understanding of the empire’s internal affairs, but please be aware that it is due to your empire’s struggle for imperial rule . is”
“I won’t say any remorse about it . I won’t say that I’ve put the empire in danger . In the end, two SS-class adventurers from the Adventurer’s Guild have cooperated, so I can defeat the Reigame . When it comes to defeating the turtles, the empire and guild work together, and we don’t imitate the guilds . “
“Thank you, but what do you want to hear?”
“About the selection of S-class adventurers dispatched to the empire . There was a commemorative ceremony and subsequent rebellion, but there was no opportunity to protest . . . What exactly was the intention of that selection?”
“What is your intent? We’re going to pick the talents?”
Trosin told me .
He will parry the pursuit of the little girl . Such a look .
But is that easy? Tra n s la t ed b y Jpm t l . c om
“So what about behavior? Of the adventurers dispatched to the Empire, I feel like two of them are from the Empire . “
“At that time, the only adventurers who were able to withstand the task of the available S-class were moving around the Empire . They have nothing to do with the Empire . “
“But both are causing problems . The Lightning Brave ignored the call to the Imperial City, arbitrarily attacking the Reigame and hastening the Reigame’s awakening . I gave it to the public corporation and took part in the plot against the Empire . Please give me a satisfactory explanation for this . “
There were many blunders on the council during the Reigame .
Fine was always able to cut it out as an ambassador to the Empire, but he dared to save until this time . This is because it is this place that is most effective .

Of course, the council will be aware of this fact .
Tr a n s la te d by jpm t l . c o m Everyone has an expression as to whether they pierced it .
” . . . I have an appointment responsibility for that, but they are each independent adventurers, dogmatic action is their own judgment . “
“Isn’t the council irrelevant? The turtle’s awakening hastened and the empire was forced to respond urgently . It was silver-like transfer magic that solved it . A barrier was established within him, putting the Emperor’s life at risk . Did the Council know this fact? “
“Of course I knew . I’m sorry . . . “
“What does it mean to interrogate Silver while you know it? Silver is the one who prevented it at the shores . An elected adventurer from the Council caused harm to the empire . I question the adventurers who were there . I don’t think the council is fair, just as if I wanted to weaken the empire . “
“No, we are neutral . “
“So please give me evidence of neutrality . I don’t feel neutral in action . I feel that I’m colluding with other nations and degrading the empire . “
It’s easy in words . Just scream neutral .
However, it is difficult as evidence .
I guess that’s what Fine and Hundred know .
Now, I cut it out at this time because my involvement in the empire was allowed . The council will not take that point .
Just because we’re at a disadvantage doesn’t mean we can’t point ourselves at me .
“Even if it’s proof . . . we belong to no country and have contributed to the stability of the continent for many years .
“It’s a shortage . It’s the achievements of the ancestors, not you, the current Council . What I’m asking about is the neutrality of the Council today . Will take you back to the empire . ”

“That’s . . . !”
Pitman raises a voice unbearably . Tr a n slate d b y jpmtl . co m
What Fine said was that the Empire would do its best to address this issue .
A meeting is held in the name of the emperor to take some action against the adventurer’s guild .
“As you know, the empire is now in civil war and in war with other nations . You can’t do anything right now . But . . . you don’t want to be too sweet about the continent’s strongest imperial army . In other words, it’s you who regret after you’re done . ”
The bodies of the council, including Tolosin, shook for a moment .
It would have been a miscalculation for Trosin that the opponent who despised her as a kid was more than expected .
The misunderstanding is that Fine had met the councilor many times before the inquiry was held . That impression led to her reputation as a little girl .
At that point, Fine would not cut any cards and would have persuaded him only with words . The council, on the other hand, assumed that she was the only daughter chosen only by the emperor .
He did not think he was hiding his nails, and no measures were taken .
As an empire, my inquiry is important . I just wanted to stop . Of course, the councilor knew that feeling .
That’s why I thought I’d cut cards at the pre-negotiation stage . And it was decided that Fine who did not cut the card was insignificant .
Shallow .
If Fine becomes serious as an imperial ambassador, the interviews will be turned to the council .
“Ambassador Fine . It looks a little emotional . I want you to calm down a bit . “
“I’m calm . If I can be emotional, I’m more grudged at you . “
T ra ns l at ed by jpmtl . co m Smile and Fine laugh .
Looking at the smile, Jack shrugged and looked at me .
“Oh, she’s a young lady? Isn’t she different from the blue princess I imagined?”
“What the hell? It’s not very nice . A beautiful flower has thorns . The sharper the thorns, the brighter the flower will shine . Like me!”
“Wow, haha! Don’t laugh at the old man!”
“Egor old? Did something laugh?”
“Everything is all! The thorns are like the body, but the Lord is not talking about flowers!”
“Well! I’m sorry!”
“Huh . . . is it still going on? Does the result seem to be visible?”
Sorry, bored, SS adventurers started talking .
Well, these guys are not necessary for negotiations from the beginning .
The purpose of bringing them all together is to seal off the inner hands of the council of targeting SS class adventurers to SS class adventurers .
The Council entered the inquiry at a considerable disadvantage .
It’s an opponent who can never be beaten by force .
Against this background, Fine is proceeding with negotiations in an advantageous manner .
And speak definitive words . Tr an sl a ted by Jpm tl . com
“Council members . I don’t think it’s clean and everything is going around . So let me confirm one and let me go . “
” . . . What is confirmation?”
“It’s easy . You’ve bowed to the pressures of other countries in this inquiry, but I won’t take care of you if you allow it . “
It was a request that could undermine my inquiry .
Although Fine has a smile forever, she feels incomprehensible pressure from her smile .
It seems unusually serious and angry .

Rimward Bound
Every citizen of the sky-cities of His Majesty's Star-Empire knows that a ship, both sky- and star-, is more then just a few bits of metal. It is the grand sum of it's hull and the crew that sail it. 'Hulls of battle-steel and men to match!' That's what the Navy's recruitment poster's claim at least. Every sailor knows that there is one more component that the city-bound folk ignore at their own peril: the soul of the ship. That it takes both man and hull to make a true ship, and that neither alone serve well or for long. In 8225 Lord Jeffrye Saltonstall the Fourth, Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps, demands semi-automated ships to 'reduce the loss of life among our brave crews', manages to convince the other politicians and bureaucrats to fund them, and gets the Office of Ship Construction to sign off on the ships as structurally sound. Dockyard workers shake their heads at the ships, muttering that they are cursed from birth, even as construction drags on. In 8230 the Explorer, first of her class, is launched. She sets out in 8233 to great fanfare on a trip expected to last six months. Neither she nor her twelve-person crew is ever heard from again. By 8235, the remaining seven Explorers are are commissioned. Lord Saltonstall managed to find crews for six of them but at the cost of mass resignations. The Night Horse, last of the Explorer class, sat in reserve as her sister-ships served well enough despite ill luck and misfortune. The Office of Ship Construction quietly issues notice that no more semi-automated ships are to be built and that all active Semi-automated ships are to be quietly retired and broken up for scrap over the next ten years. The Night Horse, sitting in reserve, is missed due to bureaucratic oversight. In 8250 Lord Ayland Wynstryngham the Eighth assumes the office of Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps. His first act is to issue notice that no ship is to be without crew nor sit in dock or reserve for longer then required for maintenance and upkeep. The Night Horse, all but forgotten, is quietly brought back into active service. Recruiting a crew for her proves another matter entirely. What poor or desperate fool would willingly sign on to crew, much less command, a cursed ship and spend months or years in deep space? Well, you would, of course. Where else is a kid from the gutters going to find that kind of freedom in the service of His Majesty? A [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] 2021.
