I Have A Miniature World Chapter 21

The members of S.H.I.E.L.D were all stunned when they saw the spatial tunnel that appeared above Mount Bida.
It took them a long time to react.
Most importantly, none of them had expected that things would erupt so suddenly.
"Leader, the spatial tunnel has really appeared!"
A member of S.H.I.E.L.D exclaimed in shock.
"Damn it, how could it be so fast? Didn't they say that there were still a few days left?"
Another member of S.H.I.E.L.D had a repulsive expression on his face because the spatial tunnel had appeared too quickly. There was no time for them to prepare at all.
If many savage warriors ran into this space tunnel, it would undoubtedly be a huge disaster.
This place was only a few kilometers away from Levi City. If they were to barge in, there was no telling how many people would die.
These barbarian warriors were all brutal and bloodthirsty monsters. By that time, the entire city would turn into a bloody world.
"Immediately contact the troops stationed in Levi City and tell them to rush over immediately. We can't let these barbarian warriors enter the city!"
Moken shouted angrily. There were tens of millions of people in the entire Levi City. No matter what, they had to defend this line of defense and seal these monsters in Bida Mountain.
"Leader, it's too late. The barbarian warriors have already come out of the tunnel. There are so many barbarians. There are at least tens of thousands of them..."
What!
The members of S.H.I.E.L.D were all stunned.
There was a deep and heavy look in their eyes. The barbarians were one of the most terrifying creatures from another world. They were different from humans. Each of them was extremely strong. They were at least three meters tall or even more than five meters tall.
Not only that, but their speed was also breakneck. With a light leap, they were more than ten meters. Their speed was so fast that it was unbelievable. Once they entered the army, it was simply a massacre.

These barbarian warriors were all killing machines. With a single punch, they could shatter people's skulls and tear apart their skeletons. It was terrifying.
More importantly, their body structure was robust. Their muscles were so strong that even bullets could not penetrate them. Ordinary guns were useless. They had to use weapons with great lethality.
For example, rifles, submachine guns, or hand grenades. Only then would they be able to kill them.
If it were the armor on these barbarians' ships, they would be able to brave the rain of bullets and charge in front of everyone. Ordinary bombs would not be able to kill them.
Just one barbarian alone could kill 100 ordinary soldiers.
With an army of more than 10,000 barbarian soldiers, it was hard to imagine what kind of disaster it would bring.
Without a doubt, this was the most serious incident of an invasion from another world. In the history of the ancient desolate planet, it was also an unprecedented disaster.
Dong dong dong!
In just the blink of an eye, the spatial tunnel suddenly opened and released a golden light. A vast and mighty barbarian army walked out from it, releasing a powerful murderous aura.
Even though they were far away, they could still feel the terrifying murderous aura. It was bloodthirsty, cold, and frigid.
They looked like academicians. They were dressed in animal skins and armor, and they held axes, hammers, and shields in their hands. However, their bodies were too huge. Even if they looked from afar, they did not have the courage to go forward.
Not to mention fighting with these people. The difference between the two was too great.
To ordinary people, they were huge creatures. The dense murderous aura directly pounced on them, and they did not have the courage to fight.
It was taboo for soldiers to be afraid before fighting.
However, they could do nothing about it. Any random person would have these thoughts when they saw such a huge barbarian warrior.
"This... my god, is this the barbarian?"

A member of S.H.I.E.L.D saw the mighty barbarian warrior through a telescope and could not help but suck in a breath of cold air.
At first, he had been filled with curiosity towards the creatures of the other world, wanting to see what these creatures looked like.
However, when they saw this scene, all of them felt a chill. The other party's body was suffused with cold air, bloodthirsty and violent as if they were born for slaughter.
Even if they had guns in their hands, they were still no match for these barbarians. Therefore, it was likely that they would be completely massacred before they could even meet.
...
Rumble.
Tens of thousands of barbarian warriors walked out of the spatial tunnel, shaking the earth.
All of them were shouting excitedly as they looked at the new world in front of them.
"Is this the other world?"
At this moment, a general of the barbarian warriors walked out. He looked at his surroundings with disdain. "The spiritual energy here is too thin. The living beings here are not that strong. Our rock tribe alone is enough to conquer this world."
He was babbling something. It was completely different from the language of the ancient desolate planet, so Moken and the others could not understand it at all.
However, Moken and the others could understand the tone of their voices. It was filled with contempt and disdain.
Clearly, they had been completely underestimated.
"Haha, the heavens are really helping our rock tribe. They actually came to an incomparably weak world and seized the living beings of this world back as slaves. They took away their treasures and food, captured their women, and gave us descendants."
"It's been a long time since I've killed. I like the smell of fresh blood. I want to kill all the men in this world."
"Defeat the warriors of this world and let them know how powerful our rock tribe is. Roar roar roar..."
"One weak creature after another. With just a brick, I've smashed more than ten of them to death."
The numerous desolation warriors roared.
They felt that this was an overwhelming battle. The creatures in this world were too weak. They were like flames blown by the wind. They were not worth mentioning at all.
Therefore, the creatures in this world could not stop their invasion at all. The only thing they could do was surrender.
However, it was useless even if they surrendered. They loved killing the most. The thrill of watching the weak creatures die in their hands.
"Team leader, what should we do now?"
The people of S.H.I.E.L.D were burning with anxiety. But, tens of thousands of savage soldiers were too terrifying. Even if they had guns, they were still no match for these savage soldiers. They might kill them in less than a single exchange.
However, if they were allowed to leave and enter Liwei City, the entire city might be massacred by them. Blood would flow like a river, and it would eventually turn into a dead city.
The problem was that it would take quite some time for the army to arrive at this place. Right now, they could only watch helplessly as these barbaric warriors were merciless.
"Isn't it just dying on the battlefield? No matter what, we can't let them leave Mount Bida."
A cold glint erupted from Moken's eyes.
Although he knew that he was not a match for these barbaric warriors, he could not just watch helplessly as they entered the city and massacred the defenseless citizens.
Even if it was like a mantis trying to stop a car, he had to buy a little time for the people to evacuate.

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

8 309Leave Bad Enough Alone
Something has been amiss in the city’s theaters as of late. The local bards have long done a respectable job of keeping the audiences entertained, weaving high concepts with skillful performances. But lately, a new set of bards, and their illusionist cohorts, have captured the crowd’s attention. Compared to the theater’s usual fare, their work is hackneyed and poorly plotted, with unskilled acting, bad special effects, and unsatisfying resolutions. Worst of all, the audiences like their work more, and these upstarts are far more profitable than the city’s decent bards! Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy! Or maybe the city’s bards have just become too hopelessly pretentious and derivative. It’s hard to tell. But investigate it they must! Failure is not an option! Victory, or...well, they’ll have to get day jobs or something. Original cover image generated by NightCafé.Master story list here.
8 126An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
