My Husband's Been Exposed By The Media Chapter 33

Mary leaned into her husband's arms, smiled and looked up. "It depends on what kind of lie it is. There's a big difference between different types of lies."
Belland was interested. "Difference? Then, what if it's just a white lie?"
Mary thought for a moment, smiled and said, "It depends on who benefits from it. A white lie is one that is told for the sake of others. If you benefit from it yourself, it can't be considered a white lie no matter what."
Belland's heart was touched.
He began to struggle in his heart. Perhaps this was a good opportunity. Still, before he resolved all the problems, he hoped to shelter Mary from it so that she could live as carefree as before.
But.
"If, one day, a wife finds out that her seemingly ordinary husband is actually the heir to a huge fortune, but the husband did not tell her the truth at the first moment, what would you think?"
Mary thought seriously for a moment, then shook her head and said, "I'm sorry, I can't feel the husband's kindness from any angle. Why didn't he let his wife know about it at the first moment? Did he truly love her? If he loved her, how could he allow his wife to be like a clown, not knowing what kind of person she married?"
Mary said with a smile, "He thought that by suddenly telling his wife that she could live a wealthy life, he could make up for the damage caused by the lie? If I were that wife, I would definitely divorce him without hesitation, and let him take his money and get out of my sight!"
"Alright, I'm going to take a shower," Mary pushed Belland away and walked to the bathroom.

Belland's body froze, and he stayed rooted to the spot for a long time, not moving.
Mary closed the bathroom door and stared blankly for a long time with her fingers still holding the door handle.
Mary had never thought much about the expensive red wine and the expensive watch in the cabinet before.
Francis had asked her about such a joke before, asking if she had ever thought that Belland might secretly be rich.
Mary only took it as a joke and did not even think about it further, because the question was so far-fetched that it was not worth entertaining at all.
But, with what Belland had said today, coupled with everything that had happened during this period of time, doubts began to surface in Mary's mind.
Women were always sensitive and careful. Belland's strange attitude just now, as well as all the previous incidents, were suddenly coming together.
It made Mary feel a little flustered.
She was in a daze for a while, thinking how ridiculous the whole situation was.
Her husband was rich, but he chose not to tell her? How is this possible?
It's impossible...
Mary's thoughts drifted away. She remembered that when she first met Belland, his car had broken down on the roadside. Mary had helped him fix it, and she remembered that the car was a high-end car that was expensive.
Belland's explanation was that the car belonged to his friend.
In fact, similar situations often happened in the past six months of their marriage, but they were all explained away by some careless words from Belland.
Mary was one of those big-hearted people, never willing to be too suspicious of others. As such, many things that happened in the past were simply overlooked.
But now, as she pieced them together, the thought really made her fingertips tremble. Her heart unconsciously began to feel a chill, which quickly spread to her limbs, causing her body to tremble.

She shook her head hard.
This was impossible.
She must have been overthinking things.
"Come on, Mary, you're acting like a fool now. How could you suspect that Belland is lying to you, and with such a ridiculous lie?" Mary said to herself softly.
She threw all these mixed emotions to the back of her mind.
Mary finished her shower and returned to her room. Meanwhile, Belland had finished his shower in the bathroom upstairs, and was now lying on the bed reading a financial magazine.
Mary's eyes lingered on the cover of the financial magazine for a long time. She had never paid attention to what her husband was reading before.
At this moment, she was not sure what she wanted to see on the cover of the magazine.
Mary went to bed as usual and lay next to her husband. She picked up a nutrition book at the bedside and started reading.
Still, her mind continued to drift. Belland had been coming home from work almost every day for the past six months. There was no place in the house that was exclusive to him and not open to her.
Furthermore, Belland was very good to her, never ignoring or pushing her aside.
The two of them never quarreled. Even if a conflict arose, he would show infinite tolerance and understanding. Thus, Mary had always felt that her husband was the most understanding and considerate person in the world.
Belland was so good that it was unbelievable. Could that actually be because of his guilt?
While Mary was indulging in these wild thoughts, Belland had already embraced her from behind. His lips had been gently kissing her ear for a long time.
It was not until his magnetic voice rang in Mary's ear that Mary's thoughts returned.
"What are you thinking about?"
