My Husband's Been Exposed By The Media Chapter 9

Mary took Francis to the school and explained his situation to the principal. She didn't say much as she did not know him very well.
Francis then stayed alone in the principal's office for an interview.
Mary didn't think he had much chance of staying, especially after the conversation they had just had on the way. She felt that Belland's brother was slightly odd.
Odd in character.
With this attitude, it would be difficult to convince Principal Dick.
But to Mary's surprise, Francis came out of Principal Dick's room and lit a cigarette with a smug look on his face. "We'll be colleagues from now on, Miss Mary."
He looked at Mary. Today, Mary was wearing a black business suit with a white collared shirt. She had a pair of big glasses sitting on the bridge of her nose. She looked very conservative.
She seemed to be a completely different person at home.
At this moment, Mary was also surprised.
Did Principal Dick agree? He didn't even ask Francis to go back and wait for the phone call, but agreed to hire him on the spot?
Mary found it hard to believe. Moreover, the guy who had looked so reluctant half an hour ago seemed to want to stay.
He was indeed a strange guy.
That was Mary's assessment of Francis.
At the end of the morning class, Mary told Francis to go home by himself and handed him her car keys.
Mary herself got into the Belland's car, which was waiting for her by the school gate.
Today was Uncle Jack's birthday and they were going to Uncle Jack's house. His house was located at the Upper East Side of Central Park East in New York City.
Green Grid town was located south of Manhattan. It was less than an hour's drive from New York City and was considered a rich town. After graduating from New York University, Mary and her husband chose to live in Green Grid town.

It was mainly because the rent in the town was cheaper. Mary and her husband, who had just graduated, could not afford to pay too much rent.
Originally, this house was not something they could afford, but it had its own shortcomings such as the master bedroom did not have an en-suite bathroom.
Mary had used this to bargain with the landlord. Unexpectedly, the kind landlord agreed to Mary's price very quickly.
"Principal Dick is really too nice. He only did a simple interview and did not even ask Francis to prepare any materials before he agreed to let him take up the position. Principal Dick is really a good person." Mary said happily.
Although Francis' eccentric personality made her a little wary and distant, she was happy to be able to help her husband find a job for his younger brother.
Belland freed a long and slender hand and rubbed Mary's hair. "Principal Dick must have given Francis this opportunity because of my wife. Thank you, Mary."
He spent some time to kiss Mary on the lips. It was a very sweet kiss.
Mary pursed her lips and smiled. "It seems so. After all, I have worked diligently at Princeton Primary School for six months and have never made any mistakes."
Belland nodded in agreement. "An excellent primary school teacher like my wife will definitely be able to educate our children into elites in the future."
Belland had always wanted to have a child and Mary knew that. Although she was not prepared, she allowed him to occasionally act without contraception.
Unfortunately, until now, the heavens did not seem to be planning to reward Mary with this child.
This made Mary feel disappointed, but also a little secretly happy.
After all, with the heavy financial pressure and endless loans plaguing her and Belland currently, they were not ready for a child.

Belland had mentioned that he had an insurance policy that his parents had prepared for him, and he could settle all of Mary's loans, including her school loan and the mortgage on the house.
But Mary had refused, thinking that things would always get better if the two of them put in the effort.
She did not want Belland to give up the insurance that his parents had worked so hard to buy for him, just for her. Especially since Mary had not met his parents. How could she let her burden become a burden for Belland and his family?
They had already reached the upper east side.
From where they were, one could see the gatekeeper in uniform by the street, calling for a taxi for the owner of the mansion. A woman, dressed elegantly, led a well-groomed dog. She was heading to Central Park for a stroll with her child and nanny.
Mary looked at the beautifully decorated mansions by the street, and her eyes were filled with envy.
"Maybe we can buy a house here soon." Mary said casually.
"You can move here anytime, Mdm. Croft," Belland said with a smile.
Mary said with a smile, "You're so optimistic, Mr. Glatton."
Belland wanted to say something, but he hesitated. He organized his thoughts and began, "Mary, maybe it is time I confess to you..."
