Super Gene Optimization Fluid Chapter 713

"That's right! I, Xia Zonghai, can't kill you two Law Overlords today, but the two of you had better remember me! Anyone who dares to provoke the Skywings will have to pay the blood price! From here onward, the Law Realm will either have the Skywings without the Moonwards or the Moonwards without Skywings!" Xia Zonghai glared ferociously. Each and every word of his was like a steel nail that drove into the hearts of everyone present!
*Whish*
Xia Zonghai waved his knife! He abruptly chopped off his own left pinky! Fresh blood spurted out immediately!
"I have severed my finger today as proof! I won't rest until I've trampled the Moonward Clan!" Xia Zonghai yelled out like a mad dog, his two eyes almost dripping blood!
Xia Fei was stunned!
Mu Qianling was stunned!
Wolf Jiulin was stunned!
Everyone was stunned!
The cold wind cut like knives!
They could all feel a cold sensation creeping over them, which penetrated their skin and chilled their very bones!
This was the Moonward Clan, one of the Nine Great Clans, an unparalleled existence in the Law Realm! The Skywings actually stated that they would move against them, all because they had injured a junior?!
This was not madness! It was absolute insanity!
Skywings, the most demonic blade in the Law Realm had finally been unsheathed, and their target was the Moonward Clan!
*Gulp*
Xia Fei gulped audibly. He suddenly realized that this old man, Xia Zonghai, was simply too cool!
People had always thought Xia Fei to be mad, yet today those people had finally realized that Xia Fei was not the only one who was like that. There was also another group of madmen out here in the Law Realm! A group of lunatics that was even more insane than Xia Fei!
This group was known as the Skywings!
They were extremely protective toward their shortcomings, very overbearing and absolutely unreasonable!
The atmosphere around them turned heavy and stifling—suffocating, even!
A whole minute passed, and the representative of the Snowdrift Clan, Diao Qi, flusteredly pulled out a spatial compass and entered a series of numbers.
Panic was evident in his eyes, and his heart thumped so wildly that it seemed like it would give way any time.
The moment a screen appeared, Diao Qi did not even care who he was speaking to and just howled, "There's been a huge incident! War! War is about to begin!"
A middle-aged woman was on the screen, whose features were hidden behind a green shawl. She was very unimpressed by Diao Qi's fuss, knitting her eyebrows together as she said in a steady voice, "What are you panicking so much about? Speak properly."
Speak properly? The Great Law Emperor Diao Qi's heart beat so wildly that it had practically gone numb. How could he still speak properly?!
"Xia Fei! Skywings! The Demonic Wing Token! War! Moonward Clan! It's over! He's a madman! We're doomed! They've all gone insane!" Diao Qi's face was as pale as snow, and all he managed to utter was disjointed speech. That just showed how panicked he was!
"The Demonic Wing Token?!" The woman on the screen was startled upon hearing those words. She quickly sat up straight, and that green shawl covering her face trembled slightly.
Anyone with a bit of strength and influence in the Law Realm would know about the existence of the Demonic Wing Token. That was the major gathering command of the Skywings! The moment the token was used, the entire Law Realm would most certainly be embroiled in bloodshed!

Seeing how alarmed Diao Qi looked, the woman on the screen screamed, "Get back here immediately! I want to know what happened! Why did the Skywings suddenly use the Demonic Wing Token?!"
Diao Qi's actions no doubt roused all the other Law Emperors from their stupor. Each of them pulled out their own compasses and reported what had happened to their respective patriarchs.
As the whole lot was in a state of disarray, White Ward pulled out a token of his own and crushed it. That was the Bright Moon Token of the Moonward Clan. Like the Demonic Wing Token, it was the signal to gather everyone in their clan to prepare for war.
It was just that nobody was bothered with what White Ward did. All of them were still shocked by the resoluteness of the Skywings. As for the Moonward Clan, they had just been forced to rise up to the war declaration. The attitude of the Skywings were clearer than day; This was war. It did not matter if the Moonward wanted this war or not! It was not up to them to decide!
White Ward was put in a very awkward spot. He had risen up to the challenge of the war all just for the sake of preserving his clan's face, but no one was giving him any attention.
Sail Ward was practically in tears from his anxiety, pitifully looking over at his two grand ancestors.
Ulcen Ward, now without his right arm, had a grim expression. He solemnly said, "Let's go. There's no way of salvaging this situation any longer. For the sake of the Moonward Clan's pride, we will take them on."
He had said these words with such desolation, and the two Law Overlords departed while feeling utterly humiliated.
One had lost his right arm whereas the other had his face torn!
Xia Fei and Xia Zonghai did not stop them. After all, they were Law Overlords. Xia Fei, Furball, and Peacock Blue had only managed to force them into a stalemate after using up all their strength.
Staring at the disappearing figures of the Moonward Clan with cold eyes, Xia Zonghai whipped one hand horizontally and mimed a killing gesture! He was acting extremely arrogantly!
Xia Fei's head was blank. He did not have even a shred of strength left in him. He had lasted up until now purely on his willpower never to admit defeat, and now that the crisis had temporarily been averted, his entire person immediately fell into a chaotic and pained state.
*Thump*
Xia Fei lost consciousness and crumpled onto the ground.
...
Though Xia Fei was unconscious, the bloodbath that he had triggered did not show any signs of stopping at all! Instead, it had become even more intense!
This was like pushing over a piece of domino, and what ensued was a series of chain reactions!
Over on a grass plain stood a peaceful, little village. About a hundred people or so were living there in harmony and joy. A child was lying in the grassy plain, biting on a bit of grass as he cloud-gazed.
Suddenly, a din came from the courtyard of his house as an elderly granny kicked open the door and hobbled out with a walking cane!
This woman had graying hair and was hunchbacked. An uncountable number of wrinkles could be seen etched on her face, but her turbid eyes nevertheless shone with this burning light. Her face was red, looking very agitated!
"Granny! Where are you off too?"
"Old aunt, you're not in the best physical condition, yet you still wish to go?"

Behind the old lady were a handful of her descendants, all dissuading her with worried and anxious faces.
Looking up in the sky, the granny said resolutely, "The Demonic Wing Command has been evoked. Something happened with the clan. As a Skywing, I must return!"
"Mother, you're already so old, why are you troubling yourself!" an elderly man pleaded, apparently this granny's son.
*Smack smack smack*
The granny raised her walking cane and struck her son's head thrice, clearly indignant. "So what of me being old? Even if I were dead, I would still be a member of the Skywing Clan, with the surname Xia! Once the Demonic Wing Command is given, be they male or female, young or old, they must answer the call! This is the one rule in the clan that will never change! Scram! Don't any of you think of stopping me!"
"Mother, you have long been married out of the Xia family and are no longer a member of it," her daughter-in-law muttered softly.
*Smack smack smack*
This daughter-in-law took three hits from the walking cane as well. Despite the granny being past her prime, she was still as unruly as ever, almost as if obstinacy and unreasonableness were traits shared by every Skywing, from old aided by walking canes in their walks to babe still in their diapers. Arrogant and unruly, protective of their own, never once caring about any rules—these were traits that had been passed down in the very genes of their clan, deeply ingrained in their DNA!
An esteemed woman of the Skywing had married into this small village, which was evidence of just how open the Skywings were with their people. Aside from this requirement to protect their own, the Skywings hardly had any rules to speak of, and each and everyone could do whatever they desired.
"Hmph! A bunch of inhumane rascals! That's the Demonic Wing Command; do you even understand what that means?" The granny felt very agitated, a stern expression on her face.
"None of you even understand." The granny swept a sharp glance across her sons and daughters, and none of them dared to raise their heads, barely being able to breathe.
"Do you know why the Law Realm as a whole is so afraid of the Skywings?
"It's not because the Skywings are very strong but because we are very united and vicious! A lot more vicious than any other clans out here in the Law Realm! No one dares to touch anyone from the Xia family, or else we'll ruin theirs! No exceptions!
"The Demonic Wing Command has been evoked, and so the Demonic Blade shall be unsheathed! As long as I still have a breath of life in me, I must head back!" The granny looked up into the sea of stars once more and locked onto the location of the White Horse Constellation with unwavering eyes!
...
In a dense and primitive rainforest, a towering man, who looked like he had been chiseled out of obsidian, stood tall. His height was well over two meters, looking quite the giant compared to the average human being as he weighed no less than three hundred kilograms!
The skin was dark like unrefined oil, and his muscles were more compact than that of a bull.
At the moment, he was staring hard at the lush rainforest. There was a fierce look in his eyes as he yelled, "Cursed Divine Beast, get your *ss out here for me, or else yours truly would turn the entire planet upside down just so I could find you!"
What an arrogant provocation! It was hard to believe that this burly man was actually looking for a Divine Beast to fight!
There was not a single sound in that forest. Not even the insects dared to make any sound, afraid that if they were to be too loud, they would attract this person. This just showed how unreasonable this man was!
"No movement?" This towering man's eyes grew cold. He rolled up his sleeves and was about to charge into the forest so that he could get hold of the rumored Divine Beast hiding inside and skin it alive, rending its tendons and pulling out its bones when he halted. He then reached into his bosom and pulled out a black token. This token had an intricately carved insignia on it, looking like a two-winged demonic dragon proudly perched on a hill. A raging flame was spurting out from its mouth, turning the ground under its feet into scorched earth!
This was the insignia of the Skywings, the Skywing's Demonic Wing Token!
The eyes of this two-winged demonic dragon were originally dark and dull. Now, its two eyes were completely red, shooting forth a light like that of a death god, looking like it was about to breathe real fire! The entire dragon appeared to be a lot more imposing!
"Ah! The Demonic Wing Token is aglow!" the big, burly man exclaimed. His two thick and bushy eyebrows turned into a unibrow as he yelled, "Count yourself lucky! Yours truly have to head back to the clan right now! Remember: This old man is Xia Mang of the Skywing!
"Don't think that you can act arrogantly just because you're a Divine Beast! This old man here doesn't have any hobbies to speak of aside from killing Divine Beasts! Wait for my return if you've got the guts!"
Xia Mang disappeared like a flash of lightning after saying his piece!
Of course, as he was a practitioner of the Law of Speed, his movement was comparable to a gust of wind; a pair of wings even seemed to have grown on his back!
After a long long time, a painful howl could finally be heard from inside the forest. It was from the level 3 Divine Beast, the Golden-horned White Diamond Beaver. It looked completely in despair as it ambled out, sighing in the direction where Xia Mang had left, as if it had just been given amnesty.
It was covered in bloody wounds and was currently in a terrible state. Were it not for the Demonic Wing Token, this Divine Beast would most likely end up in an even worse shape!
Pausing for only a second, this Divine Beast ignored the pain all over its body as it escaped far away. It no longer cared about the dignity of a Divine Beast or whatever. Being able to escape with its life intact from a Skywing was already a blessing!
It ran as it kept howling, as if telling its fellow kindreds, "Don't ever provoke those madmen from the Skywings! Just look at me! What of me being an esteemed Divine Beast? I nearly ended up being toyed to death by that man from that clan! Cherish your lives and stay as far away from the Skywings!"

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.

Drakon the Necrolord v2

Orcs elves humans dwarves and hundreds of other species now living on one planet. These are the memoirs of one of them. Written with the help of the AI in his head and a little help from his friends. As a note: I have tons of worldbuilding done (probably way more than needed, as that was why the rewrites took so long. Depending on the reception here I might do more stories in the same universe and/or build a wiki with all my worldbuilding stuff.
