Chapter 589: King Kong Eels

Without even realizing it, Xia Fei had actually managed to squeeze his way into Dragon Ascension Martial Hall’s watch list. Numerous experts had gathered at the Dragon Ascension Conclave, the vast majority of the circle’s geniuses included. The number of experts who had managed to reach Law Emperor before the age of thirty numbered no less than fifty.

King Kong Eels used their explosive power and tough heads to bust a barge to pieces! This was just how terrifying their explosive power was!

Since Busey had told them all to hunt King Kong Eels, this area was presumably their territory. The Beast Spirit Codex noted that schools of King Kong Eel resided in reefs at the bottom of the sea, and Xia Fei decided to first find their nest.

Protected by his Silver Desert armor, Xia Fei swam through the waters. It was not long before he reached the head of the pack. Everyone was searching for traces of King Kong Eels, but these crafty exotic beasts had seemingly been informed ahead of time and were unwilling to show themselves.

The candidates were excited. They were all experts, with the worst of them being Law Sovereigns! They naturally did not care about a few puny eels.

The candidates began to use their skills. Some of them used the Law of Space to create barriers that could capture the eels, while Law of Matter Adepts changed the shape of the seabed into traps. Some killed the eels with their bare fists, while others used weapons to hunt them down. These King Kong Eels suffered disaster as the warriors took them down.

Xia Fei used October Flying Snow to kill two eels, but he quickly stopped and he even stopped Furball from trying to help him.

“What are you waiting around for? If you don’t get moving, all the King Kong Eels are going to get taken!” Phantom anxiously said.

Xia Fei shook his head. “These King Kong Eels simply aren’t enough. There are eight hundred of us, and even if each person only hunts one hundred, we will still need eighty thousand eels.”

Phantom was startled. What was difficult about this task was not hunting the eels but fighting with others over them. In fact, the chaos ensuing right before his eyes was precisely because people were fighting over the prey.

“What do we do?”

“Find an even larger school of eels!” Xia Fei sternly said. “I’m a speed ability user, so I have an advantage in speed. Moreover, I don’t want to just meet the passing score.

“I must at least get to the top three!” Xia Fei declared.

He was still worried about his score from the first four assessments. In truth, those scores did not actually count. The true assessment began now!

Zanian Feng shrugged. “I’m actually fairly confident with my eyes. Look, the ones I’ve pointed out—Lin Suchun, Freddy, Bang Wei, Miliang—all have pretty decent grades. From the very start, they have occupied the top spots.

Busey replied, “Xia Fei, whom you also pointed out, only has two points, though.”
