Chapter 508: Disruptive power!

Silence. The only sound that could be heard was heavy breathing.

“What?! Xia Fei’s a Law Warrior now?”

“That couldn’t be, could it? I personally examined him a few days ago, and his seventh brain region is practically ruined, sustaining an unprecedented level of damage.”

“I checked him as well, and the damage is very severe.”

Everyone reacted differently. This was around the time for the Law Warriors and disciples to attend their morning lesson, so there were thousands of people here in the field. Many made their way over to watch when they heard the commotion, everyone whispering to each other, most likely shocked by the news that Xia Fei had repaired his seventh brain region.

“It’s true! His brain region has been repaired,” someone unknown exclaimed this, causing the several thousands gathered to check Xia Fei’s seventh brain region at the same time. Xia Fei did not know the method to prevent others from checking him, so he had no choice but to let them do so.

“Totally repaired. A hundred percent!”

“Not even a bit of defect whatsoever!”

Sounds of exclamations rang out. Aside from the fact that he had made a full recovery, what these warriors found even more puzzling was that, even though Xia Fei had found a way to repair the damage, how did he manage to get promoted to a Law Warrior in just a handful of days? This speed was simply far too startling!

There were also several instructors in the crowd, and they were all people of the Yu family with decent cultivation, in charge of teaching these newly promoted warriors on how to cultivate. The news of Xia Fei’s fully recovered brain region and promotion to be a level 1 Law Warrior had also left them all feeling shocked.

A young instructor with striking red hair asked a middle-aged man next to him, “Brother Luxuan, could that rascal be lying? He’s still a cripple when I saw him five days ago, so there’s no way he could’ve grasped the first level of the Law of Space even if he did manage to repair his brain region in this time, right?”

Yu Luxuan was the head instructor here, and he was number one in terms of both experience and combat strength among everyone present. When asked, his eyes merely shone and softly answered, “Don’t forget that Xia Fei has a completely open seventh brain region. Remember how Yu Xiaobei promoted back then? His aptitude isn’t any worse than Xiaobei’s.”

This single statement stirred everyone as if they had been awoken from a dream!

Everyone knew about Xia Fei and his nickname as a cripple, and while everyone had only cared to mock him, they all forgot that this cripple had a one hundred percent open seventh brain region!

The other instructors beside Yu Luxuan nodded their heads in agreement. They suddenly realized that, while Xia Fei with a ruined seventh brain region made him the most crippled cripple, the moment his brain region got repaired, it would make him the strongest genius!

Xia Fei crossed the two states with a large stride, and his originally bleak future suddenly turned spectacular in that one moment!

It was a skill that took the slightest training to grasp, but a majority of them were still skeptical about Xia Fei’s claim about promoting to be a Law Warrior, or simply did not wish to believe it to be true. After all, his nickname as a cripple was popular and not easily forgotten.

The short-haired Julie was actually the most excited one out of the lot. Others looked at Xia Fei with a strange expression in their eyes, less with contempt and more of doubt.

The muscular man beside Julie ground his teeth. It was evident that Julie’s happiness for Xia Fei had really agitated him mentally.

He of course viewed what Xia Fei had just said as a sort of challenge, turning to look over to the watching instructors; Yu Luxuan lightly nodded and indicated his eligibility to accept the challenge.

The muscular man surged with elation after getting the head instructor’s silent approval! He was confident he would have no way of losing to the newly promoted Law Warrior, Xia Fei. After all, his cultivation was already almost nearing level 2, and Xia Fei would have at most only just grasped Law in these past few days.

“Good! Since you’re also a Law Warrior like me, then the rule that I can’t exchange blows with a disciple won’t apply!” He turned his head around and said to Julie, “Look carefully, Julie. See who’s truly qualified to be your man!”

Taking two steps forward, the muscular man spoke. “The name’s—”

Before he could even finish, Xia Fei interrupted him.

“Enough talk. I’m not interested in learning your name. Bring it on!”

He was even somewhat unreasonable!

The muscular man was livid. Exchanging names before sparring was also part of the rule. After all, everyone was a warrior under the Yu family’s name, and there was no reason for people to break out into fights like in a street brawl, yet Xia Fei did not seem to care about any rules, nor who he was.

Phantom secretly snickered to himself from the sidelines. The Xia Fei with utmost confidence in everything he did was finally back!

“Brother Luxuan, Xia Fei has yet to pass the assessment, and you’re already letting him fight as a Law Warrior; isn’t it a little inappropriate?”

“That’s right. What if someone dies as a result of this?”

Yu Luxuan smiled slightly. “The two of them are just novice Law Warriors; what kind of damage can they do? Their little combat strength isn’t enough to cause death, and we can just act to stop the fight if someone does end up making a killing move. I’m very intrigued by Xia Fei’s cultivation, so this is the perfect opportunity to see him in action.”

The muscular man was still yapping, his face black with anger after being aggravated by Xia Fei’s words. He slowly raised his right palm and thrust it out!

The two were approximately five meters apart, and Xia Fei could very distinctly feel something nearing toward him as if his opponent had just unleashed an formless force with his palm, which could not be seen but very dangerous.

Though Xia Fei had learned Law, he had not learned any combat techniques which were related to the Law of Space, so he had no idea about the profoundness behind his move. He abruptly darted to the left with natural reflexes and was already behind that muscular man in the next second.

His thirty thousand meters per second speed was no boast, and his physical agility thanks to Crafty Approach would often catch others off guard. Aside from some of the more knowledgeable instructors in terms of martial arts prowess, no one knew how Xia Fei had moved.

A cold smirk. The muscular man could sense that Xia Fei was already behind him, but he was hardly worried. Law and special abilities existed on two different tiers, no different from a rock and an egg!

“Block!”

That muscular man yelled, and the space around his body suddenly broke, becoming independent from his surroundings. Unless Xia Fei’s attack was able to break the gap that came about from this spatial fragmentation, forget striking him, Xia Fei would hardly be able to get close to him!

It was as if Xia Fei’s punch had struck steel. His fist was no more than one centimeter away from that muscular man’s body, yet there was no way for him to transmit the explosive force of his strike to the man. It was as if something had inadvertently blocked his attack.

‘Hmm?’ Xia Fei was slightly surprised in his mind.

Quietly, a completely different disruptive force rushed through his arm, different from the Law of Space. It reached the sealed space, and Xia Fei gave his fist a light twist.

The ground shook!

It was merely just a thought that he had in his mind, yet it created an explosive effect!

“It broke!”

“He broke the space!”

The novice Law Warriors had no idea what happened, while the higher-level warriors saw it as clear as day.

That sealed space, which had just been formed, got crushed by Xia Fei’s single punch!

“That’s impossible! He actually penetrated spatial defense!”

In this commotion of disbelief, the muscular man, who weighed well over two hundred pounds, was sent flying like a cannonball that had gone sailing outward!

With a cough, a generous mouthful of blood shot out!

Xia Fei hardly had any time to celebrate his newfound strength!

Go for the kill while the opponent’s incapacitated!

Accelerating abruptly, Xia Fei sped through like a bolt of lightning, his right fist rearing up for another blow, ready to end this match once and for all!

Yet another immense explosion sounded! Xia Fei only felt his right arm go numb as his entire self went shooting out a hundred meters as he felt his internal organs took a tremendous shock!

“Crafty Approach!”

Xia Fei forcefully regained his balance in the air and landed with one hand on the ground, his face pale.

“What just happened?”

“What was that? I saw that Xia Fei was about to win, but some powerful force pushed him away?”

The crowd was perplexed. It was evident that the muscular man was no match for Xia Fei, so how could he have used the Law of Space to stop Xia Fei from landing his second blow?

A Law Warrior with permed hair had his arm folded and coldly said, “Head instructor Yu did it, or else that fatty would end up dead.”

“Oh, that explains why Xia Fei himself was injured in that strike. Turns out it’s the esteemed head instructor who did that.”

Xia Fei lay on the ground for several seconds before he got up, enduring the intense pain that was wreaking havoc in his body.

Yu Luxuan and the other instructors quickly walked into the center of the field and gestured for people to send that muscular man to the doctor.

“What a lethal attack. The man already lost; why still act so mercilessly?” Yu Luxuan asked as he walked over to Xia Fei’s side.

Xia Fei shrugged, not giving an answer.

Sweeping a cold gaze around, Yu Luxuan then bellowed, “What are you all standing around here for? Scram, all of you!”

When the head instructor gave an order, of course no one would dare disobey. Thousands of Law Warriors dispersed, and this unexpected fight was perhaps what would be discussed during and after meals for some time.

A single punch.

Xia Fei had managed to shatter an independent space with just a single punch!

Everyone present to witness the fight was all shocked and even more curious; they did not know how Xia Fei had done it. After all, Xia Fei had merely learned Law just a few days ago? Many warriors who had a higher level and spent longer time cultivating Law than Xia Fei could only sigh at their disparity.

There was a surprised look in the crowd, sneaking glances at Xia Fei which he just so happened to catch. This person was none other than Energy Master Duba’s disciple, Yu Xiaomo. Shocked, Yu Xiaomo slightly nodded as a mild greeting to Xia Fei.

However, Xia Fei merely smiled back and raised a middle finger toward him…

Hmph!

Yu Xiaomo flung his sleeves and stalked off with a stern look on his face.

“You should go back and rest up, too. You haven’t been severely injured, so you should recover in a few days with enough rest. If you have any Origin Crystal, take two. It’ll help speed up the healing process,” Yu Luxuan told Xia Fei.

Xia Fei nodded and headed back.

Very soon, the dirt field returned to a state of serenity. Now that the commotion had ended, all that remained were a few puzzled instructors who were still discussing the fight that they had just witnessed.

“Did Xia Fei add the Law of Space to his attack earlier? I just don’t see the resemblance.”

“Of course not. If that’s the Law of Space, there’s no way the collision would shatter that independent space. After all, Xia Fei is slightly weaker in terms of cultivation.”

“Then what was that?”

“Perhaps Xia Fei had a different epiphany toward the Law of Space.”

Yu Luxuan extended his right hand and flexed it a little, sternly stating, “No matter what sort of power it was that Xia Fei used, that strength is very strong.”

The other instructors all nodded, but what no one noticed was that a conspicuous bruise had appeared on Yu Luxuan’s right hand!
