Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 728

Weirdly revitalized and calmed down, Eisen made his way to a certain part of his castle. The underground prison. Ambriel was still in there, practically wasting away since they simply didn't want to speak to matter what they did to them.
But Eisen got another idea now. The prison keeper, or rather torturer, quickly followed Eisen as he approached the cell. However, the old man shook his head and held up his hand up to stop the Guardian from coming with him, "No. I'll call you if I need you." Eisen said in a blunt tone. The Guardian slowly nodded their head and returned back to their station without a moment's hesitation.
Eisen opened the door to Ambriel's cell and stepped inside, closing the door behind him again. Once there, the old man waved his hand to the side. What he created was a simple metal-framed chair that he quickly sat down on with his legs crossed.
"Ambriel." The old man said with his eyes closed. The Angel just sat there on the ground, still chained up and unwilling to help in any way, before Eisen spoke again, "I'm going to tell you a story now."
And then, for the next few hours, Eisen continued to give Ambriel a simple summary of his life. On Earth, and on this world as well. Both were necessary for Eisen's plan.
Ambriel didn't seem to particularly want to listen, but they were too tired to fight against the fact that they didn't really have a choice in the matter. But soon, the story was over, and Eisen silently stared at Ambriel, before the Angel slowly opened their mouth, "...So? What is it that you wanted to tell me with that? Do you want my sympathy? Want me to feel for-"
"I simply want you to know more about the man that can kill you whenever he wants without a single being in this world being able to do anything about it." Eisen said bluntly, "I want you to realize that Gods are certainly not those faultless beings that you believe them to be. And I certainly won't let you continue denying the existence of numerous children that were born of the relations between a god and a person. And I aslso won't let you keep denying the fact that I myself had rather complicated relationships with some Gods before."
Eisen stared back at Ambriel, who was just glaring back at the old man in ways that he nearly feared could kill him if he wasn't careful. But in the end, Eisen slowly stood up and made the chair disappear as he stepped out of the cell door.
Just as the door was about to close, a voice came from inside the cell, "W-Wait..."
Eisen stopped and waited to hear the plead of the being in the cell behind him, "Let's say you're right... Let's say that Gods truly did have relations with lesser beings..? Why would they do that?"

The old man slowly turned around and stepped back into the cell, "It's simple. Because literally every single god of the 'First Generation' was one of those 'lesser beings'. And as you must know as well, there are plenty of gods in the heavens that used to be lesser beings and only came to become deities through ascension. My son, Trygan, for example." Eisen explained.
Ambriel seemed a bit confused. Not at the latter part, but the former, "What do you mean they were lesser beings..?"
"Well... You see, when I was born, there was only one Deity. And that was the 'Great Goddess'. Then, once I managed to peak, fulfilling my 'Lifetime Quest', I was given a new Quest. And that was to take care of a dozen orphaned children. None of them were of the same race, and not all of them were even people. Some were neither monster, nor people. But either way, I raised them, I taught them what they needed to know. Of course that doesn't make me their parent, it was more like... I was their teacher of sort. They were all fully aware of who and what they were when I started taking care of them, some were even fresh adults already. But none of them were ready to become gods yet, which is where I came in." Eisen explained bluntly.
"They had all been given a blessing by the 'Great Goddess', and once they fulfilled the conditions to truly awaken that blessing, they were allowed to ascend. I showed them everything that they needed to know in order to awaken their blessing on their own, since I wasn't really allowed to help otherwise. But even so, for decades, they have lived in this world as 'Lesser Beings', living alongside them, loving them, and protecting them. They all still hold that sort of sentiment, and they passed that sentiment on to the next generations that they raised themselves."
Ambriel stared back at Eisen for a few moments. Slowly, they let their head droop and stared back down at the ground silently. At this point, Eisen would really need to leave Ambriel alone for a while. At least he was able to get through their thick skull. They were questioning that brainwash-level of knowledge that had been implanted into their head, which was exactly what Eisen wanted them to do.
If Ambriel gave even an ounce of information to Eisen and the others, it would end up being quite helpful. After all, the 'Guide' Angel was the only of its kind that was able to freely travel through all divine realms at will. If there was someone that could be called an untapped source of nearly limitless information, then it was certainly Ambriel. There was no doubt about that in Eisen's mind.

So now that this had been taken care of, Eisen slowly made his way out of this underground prison and instead visited the Gardens, more specifically, the workshop placed into the center of the hedgemaze.
Eisen stepped inside and slowly took off his suit to change into his regular crafting outfit, his wool pants and his leather apron. When he was wearing this outfit that was certainly more freeing than that suit, Eisen sat down on one of the chairs and looked over the large blueprint that he had laying in front of him.
Constant popped up right beside the old man and looked at Eisen, "Do you need any more help figuring this out?" The Core Helper inquired curiously, and Eisen slowly shook his head, "No, I think the blueprint is about finished now. It took a while to figure out a system that could handle the power of those special eyes..." The old man muttered quietly, turning his eyes over toward the pile of failed prototypes for eyes that he was creating for another Guardian, albeit an independent kind, like the first-generation types that were walking around through most of the town.
This was the design for a Guardian, in the form of a Human, for the soul that Eisen took with him from hell. Eisen had to figure something special out to accomodate for the special eyes that this soul possessed. Eisen was able to temporarily overlap this visual ability with his own eyes, since he had rather powerful eyes himself, but when he for example gave the ring that he used to Xenia, she was immediately blinded as her eyes caved in.
Luckily, Xenia's pain didn't fully come back to her yet, and she was able to be healed rather quickly by just taking a quick nap, but it was clear that this was not a power that you could usually have.
And so, Eisen chose to first try out what would happen with the eyes of a normal Guardian if he connected them to the soul of the person in question. And as the old man figured... They just blew up instantly. Melting away all over the old man's hands so that all he was able to do was throw them away. It took Eisen a while to figure out a way to contain all that power, and in the end what he figured he'd have to do was something pretty... Well, troublesome. But it should work nonetheless.
After all, this soul was one that was incredibly useful. Having someone with the ability to see the connection between the two worlds was insanely useful, there was no doubt about that in anyone's mind. They all knew that they needed this soul to help them out during this 'war' against Samuel.
However, the eyes had to wait until another day. For now, Eisen was just going to start building the Human-like Guardian's body. He spent quite a bit of time analyzing the different generations of Guardians, and at this point was able to figure out easily how to make a Guardian in any form he wanted to. He was still a bit nervous, since it was his first time actually doing so.
Of course, it took quite a bit more work than the Guardians that Eisen made until now, but that was mostly because of the size-difference and because he had to change a few systems around to make sure that the Guardian would be able to act independently, without having to be connected to any sort of core. That would tie that special Guardian down in just one place, and that was the opposite of what they wanted.
The old man continued to work on the Guardian's body until the base frame was practically done. It was mostly created through glassblowing, after all. Now he would need to create the metal platings that would act as skin, and then after that he would need to take care of the eyes... Those were really something that Eisen was rather reluctant to make for now, considering the method that he wanted to try out.
Eisen let out a deep sigh and started to work on the metal platings now. He mixed the metals together and then added everything he needed to dye it so that it would have the right shade later on. Once the metal plating was finished, he attached it to the frame, with the exception of the parts directly around the eyes of course. He still needed to push those in before attaching the plates, just to make everything easier.
And then, the old man let out a deep sigh. He really didn't want to do this, but he figured that this was going to be the easiest way to figure out a lot of things that would come in useful in the future.
Eisen stood up and grabbed the small bottle that was laying over on another table. Slowly, Eisen poured the content onto a piece of cloth and then held it in front of his eyes for a while.
Just a few minutes later, he could already feel that everything around them had numbed. Eisen activated his Truth Seeing Eyes while everything around them was still numb, and then slowly grabbed the special tool he made for this occasion.
Directly before pulling out his own two eyes.

People around me are always flying, summoning creatures, or casting massive displays of magical fire, ice, and other elements. Honestly if you can’t tell, it was starting to get to me.
