Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 721

Eisen stepped out of the door to his bedchambers, and immediately saw Kiron standing in front of him, "Welcome back, Grandfather. It seems like everything worked out quite well." The Half-Dragon said with a soft smile on his face, and Eisen quickly nodded his head in response.
"Seems so. Thanks for watching out for me this past day." Eisen said with a smile, "So, do you like my new look?"
Kiron slowly looked Eisen up and down, trying to see the difference in Eisen's demonic form compared to what it was before. They were rather big differences, so he didn't have to look for too long, "Well, you certainly look less like a 'Monster' than you used to, now that your skin is no longer made of rock and flames. You look more like... Well, the 'Demon' Race, actually."
"Of course. The Demon race are descendants from the first 'True Demons'." The old man pointed out, before Kiron raised his brows surprised, "Wait, is that... Is that true..? That is not common knowledge, is it?"
"It's not. I only just remembered it myself during my sleep. Of course, seeing my form, it makes quite a bit of sense, doesn't it?" Eisen smiled lightly, "Either way, it changes rather little. It only explains the main reason behind that race's name, which I was pretty curious about for a while."
"Oh, and before I forget..." Kiron said, "It seems like a few envoys came on the latest ship Komer sent over. He prepared a special ship to make sure they're protected, and so that they would arrive at the same time. Right now, they're in the courtyard enjoying the weather a bit. They are all from different countries on the Central Continent." The Dragon-Knight explained, and Eisen looked over at him as the two started slowly walking, "Hm. Seems like they were trying to cause a bit of trouble if you're the one to tell me this."
Kiron let out a deep sigh, "Seems like I can't hide such things from you, Grandfather. Indeed, one of them, the envoy from a large Empire, demanded to see you right away and was angry at being kept waiting like this. He tried to storm into your room, but I was able to convince him to head back to the room we prepared for him."
"Haha, I hope that your way of 'convincing' him didn't accidentally sprout a war."
"Do not worry, Grandfather. I did not harm a single hair on his body." Kiron said with a slight smile on his face, while Eisen placed his palm onto Kiron's head, "Well, good joby protecting me though. I don't know what I would do without you."
In the next breath, Eisen turned his head to the side, prompting Serio to appear there in a blue mist, "Inform the envoys that I will receive them in the throne room. All of them together."

"As you wish." Serio slightly bowed forward and disappeared again, "It should take them a while to get ready. For now, let's meet the others as well. I would like to see if a certain friend of mine is back safe and sound.
The old man and his strongest Knight made their way through the castle, before they reached the area that was reserved for everyone to do whatever they wanted. The personal rooms of the Originals. And of course, since they didn't need sleep, instead of being bedchambers they were just filled to the brim with whatever they wanted to play around with.
For example, Brody's room was just a large training hall with a bunch of fighting-dummies within it. But the place that Eisen was looking for was Jyuuk's room.
And there, he could already hear the voice of his friend from beyond the room. For now, Eisen slowly deactivated his Demonic transformation and stepped through the door.
"I already told you, you fucking monkey, get your hands off me or I'll rip them off!" Satel yelled out loudly as Jyuuk was seemingly trying to examine their body, and the woman standing next to them was rather unhappy with that sort of tone being used.
"And I already told you that you shouldnt dare speak to my husband that way, or hell will seem like heaven to you!" Xenia yelled out. In response, Eisen laughed loudly, "Husband, I see? When did you two marry?"
Quickly, the three people in this room turned their heads toward Eisen, and Xenia's face turned a bright red as she was unsure what to say exactly.
Jyuuk just laughed and smiled back at Eisen, happily greeting him, "The memories of our life as Husband and Wife were some of the first we remembered. After that, it's kind of hard not to refer to her like that."
"Hm... Do you two have a wedding planned? I know it might seem weird if you already know that you're married in your minds, but you can just see it as renewing your vows. Before my wife, on earth, was taken in by that disease, we renewed our vows as well."
Jyuuk raised his brows and looked at Xenia, "That sounds like a nice idea, doesn't it? What do you think?"
"It does sound pretty nice, yeah." The High-Elf smiled lightly, her cheeks still a bright red, while Satel sat on the table behind them with a sickened expression, "Disgusting..."
"What, you think that true love like that is disgusting?" Eisen laughed at the Devil, while they just shook their head, "The concept of marriage and monogamy is disgusting to me. Come on, you must agree to me with that!"
"Actually, I have my eyes set on a single special woman as well. And I don't plan on repeating my actions from down there as long as that is the case." The old man smiled, his fingers slowly moving through his beard, while Satel nearly threw up in response to that statement.

"Either way, it seems like the resurrection worked pretty well if you're as energetic as that."
"Hah, 'Resurrection', my ass! That's a Holy Miracle, that'd have only killed me more." Satel pointed out, "It's just through my own awesomeness that I was able to come back to life. Not this bastard's. So tell him to get his hands off me already."
With a soft smile on his lips, Eisen approached Satel slowly and carefully, before standing in front of the table they were sitting on, "Satel. Be careful with your words. You may call him a 'Bastard', but he is the man with the greatest control over life and death in the extistence of this world. You think that he would be bound by Holy Miracles to do his work?"
Satel felt a shiver run down their spine inbetween their wings at the cold voice of the man in front of him. The aura he was giving off changed so much in the little time that Satel had been dead, "You know you don't scare me, right?" The Devil said with a wry smile on their face.
"Of course, why would you need to be scared? You're planning on behaving within this new life that you've been gifted, right? This place is not the Underworld. If you treat it like your playground like you did that realm, I'll make sure that Xenia's threat toward you just now becomes reality."
A golden light flashed across Eisen's eyes as he very clearly and honestly threatened Satel to make sure that they wouldn't end up messing around like they used to. Of course, Eisen planned on treating them like a friend, but that didn't mean that he didn't need to be careful about them and their actions here.
In the mortal realm, things worked different to how they worked in the Underworld, and it might take Satel some time to get used to such things.
"Alright, fine." Satel sighed deeply, "You have a way to ruin fun, you know?" The devil sighed deeply before turning their head toward Jyuuk.
While twisting their face into a grimace, they accepted that Jyuuk really was the one that brought them back to life, so they had to be somewhat thankful. And as Jyuuk finally starting examining Satel's body, Xenia pulled Eisen to the side of the room.
"Alright... So, why exactly did you want them to be resurrected? They don't seem particularly helpful in any way." Xenia pointed out, and Eisen smiled lightly, "It might seem like that for now, but that's actually not entirely correct. Sure, I didn't have many reasons, but there is one thing that I know for sure that they'll be able to help out with."
"And what would that be?"
"Annoying the shit out of gods, of course." Eisen said bluntly, before Xenia looked back at him with a wry smile, "Excuse me..?"
"It's simply. For one, Satel is going to help you trying to figure out those ancient languages a bit. And also, the fact that they're here alone is probably annoying a certain few gods in the first place. The ones on our side must be laughing their asses off right around now, but those on Samuel's side... Well, I wanted to teach them a bit of a lesson. Let's say it like that. Satel is also a bit of a lure for someone that I genuinely despise. And I've simply gotten close to Satel, as well. I felt bad for killing them, so I gave them a second chance."
"...Alright, explain your plan to us later, and this time don't just disappear for a full day after telling us such important things." Xenia grumbled, as Eisen nodded his head, "Of course not. Don't worry. Ah, but also, I would like you guys to come join me in the Throne room. Are Evalia and Brody around? They're both online."
"They should be somewhere around here, just message them. They'll come over real quick." Xenia said, "Now, I'm going to make sure that this Devil doesn't mess around with Jyuuk that much. We'll be in the Throne Room in a bit. I assume it's about the envoys?"
"That's exactly it."
"Yeah, I wanted to be there while you spoke to them as well. I kind of like the faces of people like that when you show them your 'King' side."
Eisen laughed quietly, "Wow, and I thought I discovered a sadistic side of myself down in hell. Guess I wasn't the only one that enjoys such moments."
With that, Eisen chose to make his way out of Jyuuk's room, before turning his head toward Kiron, "Are the other Knights ready as well? I'd like them to be there too."
"They should be ready, yes. They're just training outside, don't worry."
"Alright. Then let's meet the others and get this meeting with the envoys over with."

The Edge of Endless
Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time. Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people. tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you: > 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar. > Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff). > Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones. > If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too. > Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot! > No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems. There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.

MeiQ: Lore of the Labyrinth
Omaros City lays near one of several Yggdrasil trees that are scattered around the world. Each tree holds an entire labyrinthine ecosystem within or beneath it, yet the mysteries of their origins and what lays in their depths are only ever unraveled by the most skilled and courageous of explorers. Exploration of Omaros' Yggdrasil labyrinth is still in its fledgling stages, drawing in many with the allure of fame and glory that has yet to be claimed. Enter the harbinger Dubhan—cheerful, determined, and not terribly skilled at thinking ahead—and warlock Allouet— intelligent and resourceful, but desperately in over his head. Together, the two of them have half an idea of what they're doing at best, but that's not going to stop them from aiming for the labyrinth's unknown depths. MeiQ is, at its core, a fanfiction inspired by the Etrian Odyssey franchise, alternatively known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan. Despite that, it is written with the intent to be enjoyable by those unfamiliar with the series as well. The characters and the city of Omaros are original, while the story draws upon lore and recurring concepts from the game series. However, Etrian Odyssey is known for its lore being sparse and open to speculation, so much of the details provided in this story are exactly that—a fan’s speculation and personal expansion of the lore. This story was also inspired by and written as part of HereBeTreasure's Fast Food Frontpage Competition, enjoy some simple dungeon exploration plot and whatever else pops up from this.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

The Adventures Of Heegan, Bleegan, Hoogan, and Bloogan: The Search For The Enchanted Toad Of Delarmir
This is a tale of four young goblin brothers, whose adventures and calamities are told as legends and jokes throughout the land. But they were first inspired by legends they heard, before ascending into one themselves; a reminder that simple beginnings can be the start of something great. Written for my D&D 5e party after they demanded I write an actual story about a children's book they found in one of our sessions, so I wrote it as it would appear in game as a childrens story. I took a very different approach on writing it, so do not be too disappointed when you find out it's not written at first grade reading level. Feedback is much appreciated, as I have never produced anything like this and I do hope I manage to entertain at least a few of you. New chapter releases to be within 3-5 days of one another (Work is now complete, do not expect new chapters).
