Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 473

"What..? How could this be..?" Jasmin asked quietly, "That's just impossible, isn't it..? Science can't-"
"It's not science, Xenia." Benjamin said clearly, "It's Magic. It's nothing that can be directly explained by science." The old man pointed out, and with a confused expression, Jasmin rubbed her eyes underneath her glasses.
"But if you have the possibility to literally make another world, why would you turn that other world into a videogame?" She asked, but Benjamin didn't have an answer for that either, "I really don't know, but it's obvious that someone is trying to stop us from finding out why. There's obviously someone trying to kill us using other people." He pointed out, and Haruo turned toward the old man with a frown.
"Do you have any idea who it could be..?" The young man asked, and Benjamin slightly laughed in response, "Are you kidding? How could I not know, or at least have an idea. It might not be him, of course, we obviously don't know all parts of the story. But there's one person that I all of a sudden can't reach no matter how much I try and what kind of messages I leave behind. The guy that's literally become a God amongst Gods on that side." The old man said, and Haruo lightly nodded his head in thought.
"Samuel..." Haruo replied, but Jasmin just shook her head immediately, "N-No, it can't be Samuel! Come on, he-he's totally h-harml-l-less, right?" She stuttered out, and Benjamin shook his head in response.
"I'm sorry, I don't think he is."
---
Eisen woke up with an annoyed expression accompanied by a deep grumble. The conversation he just led with Haruo and Jasmin was pretty hard, especially considering the amount that Jasmin was panicking through all of it.
But in the end, they managed to relax a bit, and they all made their way into the basement spaces to calm themselves down, while Eisen stepped back into the game.
"Let's do this, I guess..." The old man sighed, and took a look at the Silver that he had been infusing with a large amount of elemental mana to turn it into Flame-of-the-Earth Mythril of the rank that Eisen wanted it to be, and then just threw some steel into a crucible to melt it down enough, and then added some of the mythril, quickly mixing the two molten metals with the help of transmutation, before pouring it out into a mold to turn it into ingots.
And while the alloy was cooling, Eisen got started with the rest of the item and threw some steel into the forge, folding them into each other together with some of his mana, and then shaped it into a large, thick tube, roughly two meters in length and a bit below half a meter wide, and a hollow tunnel in the center of it that was roughly ten centimeters thick, which was more than enough for what Eisen wanted to make.

While this large piece of metal was cooling down as well, the old man grabbed some crystals, gems, and so on and combined some of them with each other, of course including the crystals that Eisen enchanted with the Pillar Combat Skill, and turned it into a two meter long, ten centimeter wide staff, and then simply got started on turning it into a 3D enchantment that would push the effect of itself out onto the pillar that would later surround it.
Basically, what the enchantment was supposed to do was to support any sort of movement that the wielder was intending on. Since a Pillar, especially one nearly wholly made of metal, was incredibly heavy, it was rather unwieldy, so this should and would help out a fair bit with Morgus' fighting. Of course, that support wasn't the only effect that the 3D enchantment had, otherwise it was also meant to increase the outward force upon contact with an enemy, as well as enhance the general durability of the whole item. Blunt weapons degraded especially swiftly, after all.
And then, once Eisen was done with this enchantment, he started to do his best to enchant the inside of the pillar as well, of course with the help of the marble workstation, and then enchanted the outside layer of it on top of that, although this time by hand.
Once he was done with that, Eisen threw the Mythril-Steel alloy into the forge until it was rather close to its melting point so that it was relatively easy to shape. This wasn't something good for regular forging, but since Eisen wanted the Alloy to be pushed into the enchantments on the outside of the pillar, and wanted to simply cover the outside of the pillar with it, this was a different story.
Actually, the first thing that Eisen did with the alloy was to fill out the enchantments to create a flat surface and then simply turned the alloy into flat sheets that he could easily wrap around the outside. And just like that, by the time that Denmir came to open up the shop, Eisen was nearly done with the pillar already. All that he had to do then was to add the handles to it, enchant it, and add the extra plates to the two ends of the pillar.
Since usually, Morgus pushed his claws into the wooden log to get a good grip, he would have trouble doing the same with this one, so Eisen created a few slits along the sides of the pillar, especially many around the two ends, that Morgus could push his whole fingers into.
"Well then, that's quite a beast, ain't it?" Denmir asked excitedly as he looked at the item that Eisen was working on, and with a bit of a laugh, the old man nodded his head in response.

"That's one way to put it, sure." He replied, and then took his carving needle to run over the Mythril-Steel Alloy surface to enchant the outside with enchantments that would work in collaboration with the central 3D enchantment.
This took a while in itself, just considering the raw surface of the large metal Pillar, and when the enchantments were done, the five Half-Dragons came back into the Smithy as well after their day's sleep, telling the old man that the others already went on with their own tasks, like setting up the stall or making items, something that Eisen was alright with.
It wouldn't take him too long to finish this, so then he could make Selena's Staff and help the others out a little bit, and they could start making their way out of town tomorrow morning. It should take only a week or two to get to the next Dragon then.
Either way, for now, the old man continued his work, although just when Eisen wanted to start on the panels meant for the two round surfaces, a certain young Half-Dragon interrupted him.
"Yo, is this mine? It looks pretty... good?" Morgus said with a weirdly questioning tone, and Eisen sighed deeply in response, "Hey, be more appreciative here, got it? I'm making that for free, and even paying a fair amount for the materials. If you don't want it, I'll smelt it down again." The old man sighed, and Morgus opened his eyes surprised and shook his head as he tried to grab the pillar, "Nah, don't worry, I'm fine with-"
"Don't you dare touch that or you're losing a hand." The old man said and turned around toward Morgus, taking his Sword out of Soul Storage and holding it right inbetween the Black Half-Dragon and the Metal-Pillar.
"R-Right..." Morgus replied with a wry smile and then quickly took a step backward as he looked at Kiron, "Your Grandfather is even crazier than you are..." He pointed out, and the Crystal Half-Dragon nodded his head excitedly, "He is, isn't he?"
While Morgus just looked at Kiron with a confused expression, Denmir was quite curious about the Sword that Eisen just pulled out of nowhere, "This... What is this..? Such a metal..." The Dwarf muttered quietly, and Eisen simply sighed in response.
"I'll explain it later. Basically, it's a Yin-Alligned Demonic Metal. Here, go ahead and take a look, but don't scratch it up. It's gonna get mad at me if you do." The old man said and handed the sword to the Dwarf, but Denmir just slightly laughed in response, although when he saw the Weapon Core, he realized that it wasn't actually a joke.
"Th-This is an Ego-Weapon? And of this high quality of ego, even!" He exclaimed in surprise, before Eisen just nodded his head and threw some of the mythril-steel into the forge again to heat it up, "Of course it is. I literally had to rip both my arms out to get that metal, and I used the Yin-Alligned metal up on that sword. I'm not repeating that for the random chance of getting more metal again..." The old man explained, but then just sighed and shook his head.
"Just look at it, look at the enchantments, and so on, but don't try to actually wield it or it's going to get a bit annoyed at you. Its Ego has high possibilities even if its not high in ego-strength yet. But even then, it can still mess around a bit if it wants to." The old man pointed out, and Denmir immediately nodded his head in response, simply getting started on closely inspecting the weapon he was just given for a bit, while Eisen concentrated on his work again.
He simply wanted to make high-density covers for both ends, nothing special. He would enchant them a bit to further help with the movement, since it was rather easy to influence movement from those end parts, but the main part about them would be that they would be slightly compressed for more weight and a bit of a higher effect.
Eisen couldn't do this with the whole surface of the pillar, but it was fine for the two end parts, since he had the materials to do so. It would simply be wasteful, and turn the whole pillar a lot heavier, if he did it with the outer layer.
Either way, for now, the old man managed to make two compressed, round plates and then folded them around the ends of the pillar, waiting for them to cool down properly while slightly combining them with the main pillar using transmutation, before swiftly enchanting it.
And then, the old man swiftly pushed his fingers into the handle-slits of the pillar and picked it up to test its balance, and with a satisfied smile, handed the insanely heavy item to Morgus, who received it with a big, dumb grin and immediately wanted to test it out. Even if it was a slight bit too heavy for him.
