Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 322

Sky looked at Eisen and then nodded his head, agreeing to tell him about Ego-Items. "So... Basically, you'll need a special skill for that, to start it off with..." The Fey-Kin pointed out, and Eisen looked at him confused. "Wait, but Sigurd told me that it is also an Ego-Item." The old man pointed out, before Sky shrugged and smiled wrily.
"It's a bit complicated and I don't know too much about it, so all I can tell you is that it's only possible to make specific ego-items with the help of a special skill. Maybe it's because the blueprints are a Legacy item, or some other reason I can't even think of... Either way, I know that only Grandmaster-Level crafting occupations can make Ego-Items." Sky explained, before tilting his head to the side just so slightly. "I think it's an occupation-skill, although a rather early one... The third or fourth one, maybe. Wait, your occupation, is it a Master-Level or a Grandmaster-Level?" Sky asked curiously, and Eisen looked at him with a blank expression and then shook his head. "I don't know. But you know a surprising lot about occupations, Sky..." Eisen pointed out, and the young Fey-Kin nodded his head immediately.
"Yeah, I've been trying to inform myself about occupations as much as possible when I didn't manage to get one..." He replied, but then swiftly continued speaking. "Either way... How did you get your occupations?" Sky asked, and Eisen began to smile lightly, feeling slightly nostalgic although it technically hasn't been as long as it felt. Although, it has been more than two months within the game world, and Eisen spent most of his time in the capsule these days, so it made sense that it felt so long.
"Well, a few months ago, I was offered four different 'Master-Level' occupations. At least I think they were that, because they had 'Master' in them..."
"Oh, your 'Omni-Craftsmaster' occupation is a combined one... That makes sense, yeah... Well, in that case, it should be a Grandmaster occupation. At the very least it's a high-tier master occupation... And you do have two high-ranking occupation skills already, right?" Sky asked in response, before Eisen nodded his head with a smile, "I think so, yes."
"Then I guess you'll see later, if you're going to work on leveling up anyway. And the Ego-Item creation skill... It's a... combination Skill? I think that's what they're called?" Sky said with a wry smile, before scratching his cheek slightly embarrassedly.
"I don't actually know too much about skills... Ego-Item creation interested me because it's in a lot of stories, but I don't know all that much about this stuff beside when it comes to the occupation system... You'll have to ask Bree about what kind of skill the Ego-Item creation skill is. And because not many Ego-Items flow through the market, I can only really tell you two theories about how it works... One, you take an already-finished item and place a soul inside of it, or two, you use the soul itself in the creation of the item." Sky explained, so Eisen listened curiously before sighing loudly in a bit of disappointment.

"Well, I would have liked to create an Ego-Weapon for myself to use while leveling up, but it seems like I'll need to make another weapon to use for all that in the first place." Eisen said with a light laugh, before looking down at the young fey-kin.
"Well, thanks for your help, Sky." The old man told him, before turning around and making his way back toward the workstations to tell his students that he would be off for a little while, and then stepped over toward the dungeon-gate and left, stepping back into the meeting room before trying to find Bree.
For some reason, however, Eisen really didn't find her anywhere. He looked everywhere she might be, her and Dien's room, all the gathering areas such as the top-deck, the chapel or the 'Cafeteria', although the only person that he found was the young woman's partner, the Blood-Chimera Dien as he was currently speaking to a young child, who also seemed to be part monster.
The traits really weren't all that strong within that child's body, but you could see it here and there, for example in the eyes, the ears, the teeth, and so on. It was never something major, but it seemed as if the child was struggling with some parts about itself. Eisen himself was a half-monster, but as he was born to a dwarven mother and a Giant Father, both races being humanoid, it wasn't seen anywhere inside of his body. As he was growing up, he did feel different to the pure-blooded children that he had met, because he was so tiny compared to them because of growing up in a giant-village, but-
"What... I... What the hell am I doing..? I'm Benjamin, not Eisen..." He whispered to himself, slowly realizing what exactly had been going through his mind right now again, stumbling backward when his mind caught up with his heart, in the same dizzy way as before.
And nearly in the same way as earlier when he was messing around with the idea of portable workshops, all the doubt in his mind disappeared immediately, and he was filled with ecstatic emotions. There seemed to be a notification with a weird color in the corner of his eye, slightly purple instead of the regular light blue, but it disappeared before Eisen could really confirm that anything was really there.
But then again, he didn't really care all that much, and just shrugged it away. He didn't know why he was feeling so good all of a sudden, but he didn't mind in the slightest! Eisen was getting a little carried away with his 'Roleplaying' before, even doing so in his mind, but in the end he managed to catch it himself and just figured he was a little tired and was day-dreaming too much.
Either way, for another little while, Eisen then continued waiting for Dien and the Child to finish speaking, and the Blood-Chimera sent the part-monster off to play with his friends, before Dien turned toward the old man with a smile.
"Is everything okay? I noticed you were stumbling around a bit? Did you drink anything?" Dien asked with a wry smile, pretty concerned, but Eisen shook his head and laughed out loud. "Oh no, don't worry! Just feeling a little tired, that's all! But you reminded me that I have to work on some alcohol again, thanks!" He excliamed, so Dien simply nodded his head with an awkward smirk.

The Half-Elf never really felt all that comfortable around Eisen, considering that what Dien had been part of doing to Kirisho still had to be in the old man's mind. Eisen never really acted all that open around him either, and was rather cold to him compared to how he treated the others, and Dien knew what it meant to be cold. After all, he was a Frost-Mage, and literally every other mage that he met with an ice-type element was usually a bit of an unfriendly dick. Dien was trying not to be, but he had to admit that he was rather straightforward as well and had a hard time opening up, so he knew how to recognize such things in other people.
But Eisen really just acted like that toward Dien, and was super warm and cozy when talking to nearly anyone else. He did know that Eisen at the very least didn't hate him, considering that he saw what Eisen did to that Merc-guy that was the former 'Owner' of Sky and Kiron at one of the towns they stopped at before. Dien was glad that he wasn't hated, but having Eisen act so chipper toward him all of a sudden felt pretty unsettling as well, so he really didn't know what exactly to say or do, but luckily it seemedl ike Eisen wanted to take that responsibility onto himself.
"So, what were you talking about with that kid?" Eisen inquired with a bright smile on his face, and Dien just shrugged and looked over toward the end of the hallway, where the child was speaking to some of its friends now. "That child is a part-monster. He doesn't have enough Monster-Blood to affect his abilities in any major way, meaning he doesn't have a monster's racial skill, but it still affects his appearance, and that's the worst part to deal with as a part-monster. Seems like his father was a Changeling with some monster blood, but was hiding his monster parts with his Changeling racial-skill. And then, when the child was born, it had those monster parts outwardly and was then practically 'Thrown away' by the mother and lived in the orphanage in Handor ever since... I was just trying to help him accept his monster parts." Dien explained with a bitter smile, remembering the feeling of being left behind because of reasons like that pretty well, and just as the Half-Elf was trying to figure out how to move the conversation to a better, happier place, although he didn't expect to find Eisen's hand on his shoulder nearly immediately.
"Thanks for doing that. It's good that children like him have someone like you to help them through tough times." Eisen told him with a smile, and now, Dien was absolutely freaked out over the way Eisen was suddenly treating him.
"R-Right... Erm, it seemed like you were waiting to talk to me about something?" He asked, and Eisen nodded his head with a smile. "Yeah, I was! I'm looking for Bree right now, do you know where she is?" The old man inquired, and Dien tilted his head to the side confused.
"She's not in our room?" Dien asked surprised, but Eisen shook his head, so Dien continued asking questions while the old man continued shaking his head.
"Is she at the infirmary helping out some of the sea-sick kids again?"
"Nope, checked there."
"At the training area to boost the combatist's stats or endurance?"
"Not there either."
"Is she polishing the small ship-repair-golems you made again?"
"I don't think so, at least she wasn't in the room where we keep them on standby."
"Then did you check the Crow's Nest? She's up there a lot." Dien asked, but Eisen shook his head with a smile.
"I didn't, actually. Somehow completely forgot about that, thanks." The old man replied, already preparing to leave toward the main-deck to see if he could find Bree at the top of the mast, but he was swiftly stopped by Dien.
"Erm... Are you sure you're alright?" The Elf and Blood-Chimera Halfling asked, but Eisen nodded his head without hesitation.
"Oh yeah, I'm simply ecstatic right now!" He replied, and Dien's frown grew deeper at that response.
"Is there any reason for that? Did something good happen? Did you make another amazing item?" Dien asked, but Eisen shook his head with a shrug. "Not at all, I just feel pretty good without a single reason! You're acting like that's a crime, haha!" The old man replied with a laugh.
"Right... Erm, anyway, when you find Bree and spoke to her about what you wanted, could you tell her to come to me? I'll probably be in our room..." The young Half-Elf pointed out, and Eisen nodded his head with a grin.
"Of course!" He replied and then turned around and made his way through the hallway toward the stairs, in order to look for Bree at the top of the highest mast within the small crow's nest.
It wasn't necessarily a place that was needed for anything, considering that they had a lot of ways to look into the distance without climbing up that high, for example through Jyuuk's Minion Connection or Eisen's Camera Bots, but it seemed like a good idea to have something like that just in case.
"Well, Bree seemed to like it up there for some reason... so good idea that I added this into the plans." Eisen muttered to himself before starting to climb up this mast, on this utterly ordinary day where nothing special happened at all.
