Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 231

"Sooo… And now it's just waiting?" Komer curiously asked as he looked at the ends of the three pipes, that were releasing a thick white smoke, which was just water vapor coming from the rest of the humidity leftover in the wood even after drying.
"Yes, we just need to wait for a while now. Once the smoke stops, the top will catch fire, and once that fire disappears, the charcoal is finished." Eisen explained, leaning back in the rock-chair that he made himself with his element, as he quite swiftly noticed that the bench that Komer and Kirisho were sitting on was a little bit too small for him in his Titan size.
"Huh? Interesting. So, what is it that you're up to in the meeting hall? Brody mentioned a little bit, but he couldn't tell me exactly what it was." Komer curiously asked as he looked up at the giant man next to him, and Eisen replied with a smile.
"Oh, well… are you familiar with the term 'Homunculus'?" The old man asked first, before Komer immediately nodded. Of course, he knew what a Homunculus was, considering that it was something used pretty often in different novels, comics, or cartoons. "Yeah, it's like a fake living being or something, right?"
"Basically. Well, Xenia and Jyuuk managed to create a 'Homunculus' core or something like that, and we're building it a body right now. Xenia and Jyuuk first put the core into the wooden dragon figurehead that Evalia made, but that ultimately broke the figurehead because it wasn't meant to move. And now, we're making a body that can move, and is actually like that of a creature. We're going for a Dragon-like thing again." Eisen explained quietly with a grin before Komer looked at him with wide-open eyes.
"You're going to make a goddamn artificial dragon? Seriously?" Komer asked, excited out of his mind, and stared at Eisen curiously.
"Basically," Eisen replied with a smile, before turning back to the barrels in the fire. "The wood I'm using to make charcoal is the wood from the Figurehead. Who knows, it might give the homunculus a bit of a bonus for familiarity? Although I'm only using the charcoal to then extract some metal out of something, which I'm then going to combine with a different material, before then actually making the scales out of that." Eisen finally explained before he looked at the outline of the small box in Komer's pocket.
"That's so awesome, though!" Komer excitedly said before Eisen moved on to another topic which he thought was a bit more interesting. "Komer, could you give me a copper coin please?" He asked before Komer looked at him in surprise and confusion, nodding his head before taking the box with the single magic coin and pulling a copper coin away from it, handing it to Eisen.
"Why are you changing the topic, though?" Komer curiously asked before Eisen smiled. "Well, I just noticed that you don't get to have any 'cool' items that I could make for you. Sure, maybe a new wallet, a business outfit, or a book where you can keep all the information you need to have in, but that's it. So I'm going to try something else." Eisen explained before he held the small coin in his hand, shrinking down for this one item so that he could adequately work on it, and then took out his Mythril needle.

"Huh? So what are you making for me then?" Komer asked, both confused and curious, trying to take a peek at what Eisen was doing.
"Wait and see. I'm not even sure if it works, so just wait a moment." Eisen told him and swiftly carved two different enchantments onto the coin, one on each side. Usually, you could only engrave a single enchantment onto an item except if it was through a complex enchantment, but in this case, Eisen hoped that it would work directly due to the properties of the base item.
On one side of the coin, Eisen placed a simple water enchantment similar to the one that he put on the bottom of the self-filling cups, and on the other side, Eisen placed an enchantment with the light element that would simply cause a light glimmer to appear around where the enchantment was activated for a while. And when those were finished, Eisen swiftly flipped the coin to attempt if this worked, but nothing happened just like this. It didn't even work when he poured mana into either of the enchantments, for whatever reason.
He was able to place two enchantments on the coin just as he expected, but when he saw the coin as finished, they were both seen as just separate entities to each other without any connection, which wasn't what Eisen wanted.
So, he had to think of something else. And that 'something else' was simple. If this worked, he would 'literally' be using the money to achieve something, so it would make sense that that money would need to be taken in, right? As such, Eisen deleted the enchantments and started anew, just this time creating different conditions to before, which was that the enchantments would feed on the monetary value of the coin to achieve the effect. And then, Eisen's idea worked.
[You created a Copper Coin of Fate]
[Copper Coin of Fate]
[Quality – Perfect][Rank – 3]
[Description] A Copper Coin of Fate created by the Omni Craftsmaster Eisen. If it lands on one side, it will cause some water to appear; if it falls on the other, a soft glimmer will light up the air.
[Effect] Fate's Choice;
[Requirements] 50 INT; 50 WIS;
[Uses Left] 1
With a grin, Eisen smiled at the notification before immediately waving it away, looking over at Komer. "It might be pretty expensive to mass-produce these for you, but here you go. I think I found a pretty interesting way for you to fight with us." Eisen told the young merchant before handing him the coin. Confused, Komer looked at the coin trying to inspect it, but Eisen immediately stopped him.
"No looking at the description! Just try it out. Flip it." Eisen told him, curious to see how this would work out before Komer frowned and did as the old man said.
He placed the copper coin onto his finger and swiftly flipped it. And a few moments later, after it reached Komer's hand again, the coin quickly crumbled to dust that was swept away with the water that appeared in its place. "What the- Eisen, what did you- Holy fucking macaroni this is awesome!" Komer yelled out, barely able to hold himself back as he looked at his wet hand.

"What was that?!" Komer immediately inquired before Eisen began to chuckle. "It's called a 'Coin of Fate.' I can probably enchant it with a few different things as well if you want. I think the higher the value of the coin, the stronger the effect and the more uses you have with it."
"That's so fucking awesome…" Komer muttered quietly, and Eisen nodded his head. "Yeah, it is, right? You should get into enchanting a bit more so that you can make them yourself. I wonder if I can use ability enchanting on these, though…" Eisen quietly muttered before Komer looked at him before taking out a gold coin from the Magic Coin-Cluster.
"Want to try..?" Komer asked with a grin before Eisen chuckled at him. "You know what, sure," Eisen said with a smile, before he grabbed a few enchanting marbles from his backpack as well as the gold coin, and thought about what he should do, before getting a pretty good idea.
"I don't know how well this is going to work, though, if it works at all." Eisen pointed out, before Komer shook his head, saying that he didn't care and just wanted to see what would happen.
"Well, here goes nothing, I guess." Eisen shrugged before enchanting the coin with one of his abilities, explicitly trying only to keep the 'essence' that he was practically pulling over with the enchanting marble in one half of the coin, while he held the other in the other half, just hoping that it would work.
Especially after finishing the second enchantment, Eisen looked at the coin, waiting for it to blow up in his face. But luckily, nothing happened. With a relieved sigh, Eisen then moved on to the next part of the enchantment, the conditions. With an ability enchantment, you couldn't really carve another enchantment circle onto the ability-enchanted piece, at least Eisen couldn't do so yet, but instead, you could at least describe how the enchantment was supposed to react.
With that in mind, Eisen created the conditions that the enchantment would consume the value of the coin, while also putting the effect from the ability enchantment onto the user of the coin.
And as Eisen wore a slight grin on his face, he saw the coin as finished and handed it to Komer after he read through the notification. Apparently, because of the high grade of the abilities, Eisen enchanted the coin with, the uses were reduced to three, although Eisen didn't know how many applications he would have with a less-complicated enchantment, which he would need to try out at some point when they had an even higher monetary income.
"Alright, what's gonna happen now!" Komer yelled out as he flipped the coin, not even trying to read the description. And the moment that the coin hit Komer's hand again, he could feel a change in his body. At first, he was getting excited when Komer noticed that everything around him had suddenly grown larger. Or rather, that he had shrunk down.
"Eisen, what's going on? What enchantments did you put on this?" Komer asked before Eisen couldn't help but laugh. "Well, what do you think? Both sides are 'Growth-Change.' One makes you smaller, and one makes you larger." Eisen told Komer, who looked at the old man in shock. "I-It's not permanent, right?"
"Don't worry. It's just for half a minute." Eisen replied with a laugh before Komer sighed in relief as he was already growing again.
"Now that completely surprised me…" Komer muttered out, before looking down at the coin again. "But this is still pretty cool; I wasn't aware you could put an effect like that on a person." Komer pointed out, and Eisen scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "To be honest, me neither. I just tried it this time because it made more sense like that. Until now, I was just thinking about enhancing the item, not the person using the item." The old man whispered to himself as he sat back down and thought about this fact.
"Although it makes a lot of sense. For example, I could make Bree a backpack with a complex enchantment that, while making itself and the contents lighter, makes Bree herself stronger. And when I make weapons for others, once I can use ability enchanting with other people's abilities, then I can enchant it in a way that directly helps the User's ability in their own body, instead of making the weapon a better tool for that ability." He muttered to himself, thinking about the different possibilities before Komer immediately nodded his head.
"True! And didn't you mention something about Jewelry? You can make some that directly increase your crafting skills too." Komer pointed out, and Eisen couldn't help himself but grin after that. "Definitely. Maybe if I had known about that, I wouldn't have needed to carve into my skin and eyes literally. I wonder, do you think Xenia knows about it?" Eisen wondered before he looked over toward Komer, who was shrugging his shoulders.
"I dunno. Maybe we should just ask Xenia when we get back to the ship." Komer suggested, and Eisen let out a light laugh. "Well, if she doesn't, then we'll be teaching something to the Original of Magic about something in her area of expertise."
