The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 895

Drake picked up the phone and replied, "Yeah… yeah…."
"We'll go over later." With that, he hung up.
Angeline clutched the hem of her dress, "Did grandma ask us to go over?"
Drake nodded and got up to support her. "Yeah. Don't worry. I'll explain it to her. Don't overthink, I know she will accept whatever explanation we will be going to tell her,"
Angeline was relieved after hearing that. She nodded and smiled. They got out of the study. Five minutes later, they drove to leave.
***
When they arrived at the house, Angeline couldn't help slowing her steps. She started to get anxious when a warm hand held her right hand. Angeline looked up and saw Drake's tender eyes. She grabbed his hand back.
Angeline took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Then she followed Drake into the house. She was dressed in a dress. It was the first time she faced Corrine as her true identity. As she entered the room, she saw Corrine's angry look.
Angeline shivered a bit, forgetting what she had prepared to say. When Drake warned her, she hurried to say, "Sorry, grandma. I shouldn't hide it from you. I'm so sorry."
Corrine was indeed angry. There was no relief on her face. "Don't call me Grandma. I'm not your grandma."
Hearing that, Angeline got worried and sad. She hurried to Corrine and got down. Even her eyes were red. "No. You have always been my grandma. I don't want to hide it from you, but I have no choice. You know the Watts family had been tracking my brother. I can only pretend to be him."
"I don't want to lie to you if I can. Please believe me, grandma. I can't help it. Besides, I respect and love you no matter if I'm Angelo or Angeline. Can you please forgive me?"
As she said, she felt wronged and worried. Tears fell from her eyes, making her look quite pathetic. Corrine didn't mean to do anything to her. Now she has begun to soften. After a long silence, she let out a sigh.

"All right. Just get up. I'm getting old, and I don't have many days left. It's meaningless to fuss with you."
Hearing that, Angeline finally smiled. She got up and sat down next to Corrine. "You're still young, grandma. You'll live a long life."
Rarely, Drake echoed, "Yeah. You'll live a long life, and you are going to take care of your grandchild."
Angeline's face blushed. She gave Drake a nasty look to stop him. But Drake's words were what Corrine wanted to hear. Without caring about others, she grabbed Angeline's hand and asked, "Right. When are you going to have a baby? I can take care of the kid for you."
Angeline got anxious. She didn't know how to reply and could only turn to look at Drake, who smiled and spoke to rescue Angeline, "Don't worry, grandma. We haven't get married yet. We can talk about this after…."
"Ouch!"
A retching sound quieted all voices. All eyes turned to Angeline, who, however, got up and hurried to the bathroom. After retching several times, she finally felt better.
Drake followed her in. Behind her, he was worried but also wishful, "Do you feel sick or…."
Angeline shook her head. "I don't know."
She didn't have her period this month. In her mind, she had a guess. But it might not be like that. She wasn't sure. So she didn't tell anyone about it.
She washed her face. Then Drake supported her out. Corrine came up and held Angeline's hand. "What's wrong?" she asked in concern.
Angeline's face looked quite pale. She shook her head. Corrine was so worried that she called the family doctor.
After a while, the doctor arrived. Corrine believed in traditional Chinese medicine. So, this doctor was good at Traditional Chinese and Western medicine. When he came, he examined Angeline.
The room was so quiet that even their breaths were hearable. After a while, the doctor laughed and said, "You are pregnant, madam. Congratulations!"

Angeline stayed as well as Drake. Only Corrine petted her things and burst into laughter. Then she held Angeline's hand. "Oh, god! That's so good. We have a baby!"
When Angeline and Drake got back to their house, Angeline started to come to herself. She looked at Drake cautiously supporting her and couldn't help laughing, "You don't need to be like this. I'm not disabled."
Drake held Angeline and held her around her waist. "Grandma asked me to take good care of you. She will blame me if something happens to you." He looked quite serious.
Hearing that, Angeline lowered her head to look at her stomach, and she couldn't help covering her hand on it. When did there have a little life?
Since Angeline became pregnant, she had been staying at home. For the public, she announced to stop shooting for a while, which was a big pity for her fans.
As for Christina, there was no news about her anymore.
Angeline was the host of the Watts family. But during this special period, she didn't need to be concerned about anything. She just needed to take a good rest. With nothing to do, she felt like rotting. Sometimes, Daisy came to her, making her feel better.
The good thing was, Drake was home with her every day.
Angeline was eating an apple. Drake was working beside her and looked at her occasionally. His accompaniment made her feel so peaceful.
"Drake, do you think it's a boy or girl?"
Drake stopped his work and pulled up the blanket on her. "Either boy or girl, I love it."
Angeline took another bite of the apple. "What name should we make for our baby?"
Drake paused for a second before saying, "Apple, the apple of my eye."
That was so sweet. Angeline thought, then she held Drake's neck. "You're so sweet, brother!"
Drake shook the ring on his finger and said, "Brother? We've been married for months, wifey."
Angeline chuckled, "Yeah. I've got used to it. I promise I'll remember that, honey!"
"What a good day!"
"Yeah. Let's take a walk, honey."
