The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 892

Angeline cried so hard that her eyes swelled. Drake felt hurt to see that. He gently wiped the tears off her face and tenderly said, "Yes. The one I love is always you. I did struggle between your two identities, but… I finally realized that I love you, only you."
Angeline paused, "When did you know my identity?"
"Last night, you were drunk, then…."
Oh, the wine!
Angeline sighed inside.
All right. That's good. She thought.
But…
"But the Watts families know my identity. What should I do? They would reveal it. Then… who should I tell the public I am? Angelo or Angeline?" Thinking of Ken's words. Angeline got worried. She wanted to get up from Drake's chest, but she couldn't get rid of his holding.
Drake held the struggling person and said in a low voice, "Don't worry. I can handle these things. You don't need to worry about anything. Just do whatever you want to do."
Angeline looked up at him with a gleam in her eyes, "Drake, you are so nice. You can solve every problem."
Drake felt happy and smiled, "I am Drake. Of course, I can do everything."
Angeline smiled. Seeing her smile, Drake lowered her head and kissed her. For the first time, Angeline didn't escape but raised her head to take it.
Since everything was illuminated, Angeline didn't need to hide anything from Drake. Besides, they know each other's affection. It was indeed a pleasant thing. She was delighted. In the afternoon, she just went shopping with Drake to pick a present as a celebration.
As a popular star, Angeline was still a focus among the crowd. To save trouble, she got the male outfit. So, two handsome men walked on the street. Still, they attracted people's eyes.

"How about this one, Drake?" In a jewelry shop, Angeline saw a platinum ring. There wasn't any decorative design, but it was very delicate. So, she loved it at first glance.
Drake bowed a little to look at it. Then he nodded, "Good. We'll take it."
Angeline was speechless about his action. Hurriedly, she said to the waiter, "Wait, wait. We want to see more." Then she stared at Drake, "There are more. What if there's a better one?"
Drake frowned and just said, "Then buy it."
Angeline held her head. All right. Rich people were willful, although she was also a rich man.
At last, they bought the ring. The waiter had been wearing a weird smile.
After that, Angeline insisted on going shopping.
"Oh, the clip doll machine! Let's go. I'll show you my skill, brother!" Angeline's eyes lit up when she saw the clip doll machines near the elevator. The next second, she pulled Drake to them.
They bought a pile of game coins. Angeline was very excited. She put two coins into the machine and started to move the handle. Obviously, it was not the first time she did that. However, the fury Totoro fell down two centimeters to the exit.
Angeline was kind of embarrassed. She scratched her head as if she didn't care. "I haven't played it for a long time. I'm not so skilled." She said, "Wait and see. I promise I'll get it next time."
Drake crossed his arms in front of his chest, leisurely looking at Angeline.
However, the doll clipping ended by failing again.
It's all right. Do it again.
But again, she failed…
The fourth…
The fifth…
After numerous failures, Angeline had only ten coins. She looked at them and stomped in anger. Her face was puffed out like a pufferfish.

Drake grabbed Angeline's hand and pulled her aside. Then he took two coins and cast them in. Then… score at once!
Angeline stayed there. But Drake didn't look surprised.
In the end, the doll clip war ended with Angeline carrying five Totoro toys out of the mall.
They were a focus the whole way. Two men played with the clip doll machine. Well, that was indeed fanciful.
At a corner of the mall, a person stood there, staring at the two.
Christina bit her teeth hard. Her newly manicured nails dug into the flesh, but she just didn't aware of that.
Why?! Why?! Why was she no better than a man? Drake neglected her for a man! How could he do that?
If I can't get him, you can't live well!
Christina suddenly chuckled, but hatred filled her eyes. She stared at the picture of the two on her phone and decided to make a life and death struggle.

"Are you available today, Daisy?" Angeline called Daisy.
Daisy just woke up. Yawning, she lisped out, "Yeah. What's… the matter?"
Angeline pursed her lips, "Go shopping with me. We haven't gone out for a long time. It's Drake's birthday today. I want to buy a gift for him. Then I can give him a surprise when he comes back."
Daisy complained, "Eek! You changed. You're so disgusting. Surprise?!"

At the mall, Angeline frowned, "I have no idea what to buy."
Daisy rolled her eyes. "Whatever he needs."
Just then, the two walked to a cufflink shop. Something stroked Angeline's mind. As she remembered, Drake seemed to have a pair of unique cufflinks for each of his suits. And they looked very delicate. Angeline made a decision and pulled Daisy in.
Angeline looked around while walking. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. She pointed at a pair of dark red cufflinks and said, "Can you please take them out for me?"
The shop clerk hurried over and took them out on the counter. "You have a good taste, Miss. This pair is the latest. They just got here. And they are a global limited edition. We only have one pair here."
Angeline picked one cuff link up. Under the light, it gleamed, showing a unique temperament. Indeed, they matched Drake.
Angeline was very satisfied and hailed Daisy to come. Daisy picked them up to look. Also, she was very satisfied, "Well, good. You have good taste."
Angeline appreciated them for a while and then put them back. Then, she smiled, "Please…."
"Wait!" A familiar voice sounded behind.
Angeline and Daisy looked at each other before looking back together. As they thought, it was Christina.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
8 73Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
