The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 847

"Another phone?"
"Yeah."
The police started the investigation as soon as they got the news. As expected, they got the address of Parker now.
Parker might think no one would know the existence of the second phone. Indeed, no one knew it except Rachel and Ivy. Besides them, Angela, the only one who knew it, was already died.
But things didn't go as he planned.
The Thorne also got the position of Parker.
Angelo looked calm, but she was quite worried inside.
Although the police and the Thorne knew where Parker was now, neither of them dared to act rashly because Zoey was still in their hands.
According to the GPS, Parker was still in Boom. After all, he would be caught by cameras if he left the city.
They didn't see him in any videos because he didn't plan to leave the city.
"What should we do now?"
Angelo felt so regretful when she thought of Zoey being involved in it.
If she had told Zoey the true faces of the Watts, she wouldn't have gone to meet Ivy, nor would she have been kidnapped.
"Let's wait," replied Drake, looking at the target spot on the map. It hadn't moved for a while, which meant that it was the place Parker chose to hide.
Angelo looked at Drake. He looked calm, but he had been clenching his hands, showing her worry. After all, Zoey was his sister.
The police had started to approach the spot Parker was hiding in case of any emergencies.
Angelo had been waiting at the Thorne house. When it got dark, she finally received a call. It was from Parker.
Looking at the familiar but strange number, Angelo had a weird feeling like it was her last life to it.
In fact, it had been a lifelong time since it was her second life now.

"Hello," she answered the call calmly. However, Zoey's voice sounded at the other end. She was calling for help.
The calm she tried so hard to build up broke off in a second. Even her breathing was disordered, "Don't touch her, Parker."
"Of course I won't touch her." it was Parker's voice.
Angelo gritted when she heard him saying, "You told the police I have the second phone, do you, Angelo?"
Angelo was surprised. She had never expected Parker to know that.
"From the last time you opened the door of our house, I know there's something wrong with you," continued Parker.
A cold sweat broke out on Angelo's head. Her cell phone was on speakerphone now. Drake and Hale were listening beside her. She was so worried that Parker might say something that would expose her.
She shouldn't act rashly then. Otherwise, Parker wouldn't have suspected her.
"I know your secret, Angelo. If you don't want others to know it, come yourself. Otherwise, I'm not sure what I will do."
Then the call ended. Angelo felt cold all over.
Parker knew her secret, really?
Which one?
She had too many secrets, and each was stunning.
She didn't dare to bet, nor did she dare to imagine the result after she was revealed.
Sure enough, Drake started to doubt her, even his eyes looked inquisitive.
Angelo's face was pale, and her heart was racing. She didn't know how to explain to Drake, nor did she know what to do next.
After a while, she made a decision, "I'll go to Parker."
She had no other choice but to follow Parker's words.
"No!" Drake didn't know what Parker had of Angelo, but he denied it at once.
Parker had been cornered, and no one knew what he would do next.

However, Angelo didn't listen to anyone. Parker said he knew her secret, was it the secret of coming back to life or dressing like a man?
She couldn't expose either.
The door was open. Like being manipulated, she walked away from Drake and went to the door.
Drake grabbed her arm and seriously said, "Angelo!"
But to his surprise, Angelo broke off his hand and ran to the door.
"Get her back!" Drake's eyes deepened as he looked at the running figure.
Hale hurried up with some men. Soon, Angelo was taken back.
"Why did you run?" asked Drake in a cold voice. From her look, it seemed that the secret Parker mentioned might be true. Did she really hide something from him?
"I…" Angelo started to get anxious, "I want to save Zoey."
"You will get nothing, and Parker will have one more hostage," Drake broke off her wish cruelly.
She was so scared of her secret being revealed that she couldn't think clearly, even the picture in front of her eyes was a blur.
"You go out first," said Drake.
Hale left with the maids.
Only Drake and Angelo in the living room, which seemed a little empty.
Drake looked at Angelo and asked, "What's the secret?"
In a surprise, Angelo looked up and happened to see Drake's inquisitive eyes.
Her lips moved, but she couldn't say anything. Her look was an admission that she had a secret, one was big enough to be threatened by Parker.
"You can't even tell me?" asked Drake again.
Angelo came to herself and tried to look away when her chin was tightly pinched by Drake.
"Don't you trust me?"
The questions shattered Angelo's psychological defenses.
She felt weak in her body and fell. But Drake held her wrist and supported her up.
"Stop asking, brother. I… I can't say it."
She hadn't had her revenge yet, no matter hers or Angelo's.
Once someone knew them, she wasn't sure what would happen and if she could continue her revenge.
Looking at the tears in Angelo's eyes, Drake finally softened.
He wasn't happy that Angelo was keeping something from him, but he had no other choice except to help her.
The phone rang again. Angelo suddenly strained her nerves but then found that it wasn't her phone but Drake's.
Holding her with one hand, he answered the phone with another.
Angelo was close to her and could hear some words from the phone.
"I'm here. Should I kill him or…" asked the person at the other end of the phone.
Drake glanced over Angelo and said, "He can't die."
"All right. I'll have a try."
After the call, Angelo took a while to remember that the voice's owner seemed to be…
"Palmer?"

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
