She had disliked Angelo before, but the meeting in the resort with him made her feel the happiness of family relationships.

She sighed helplessly, thinking that she was indeed old.

Seeing that, Hale could only make the order.

Just then, Drake sat on the sofa and folded his hands. There was worry in his eyes.

After a while, Hale came to tell Drake, "Mr. Thorne, I've got the clue of Mr. Angelo. According to the camera, he went to Green."

Drake knew that there was no video in Green. So, that was the most they could get.

When he saw the final spot Angelo appeared, he stood up.

"How about I ask them to look for him, Mr. Drake? You have an important meeting this afternoon."

"Put the meeting off," replied Drake. Then he drove to leave.

Looking at his back, Hale showed a bitter face, thinking that Drake concerned Angelo too much. But he had to follow Drake's order.

He sent half of the bodyguards in the house to look for Angelo and then contacted Drake's secretary to postpone all the meetings this afternoon.

In the hospital

Angelo looked at Jeremy sleeping near her and felt so touched. Gently, she tried to pull her hand over, which, however, still woke Jeremy up. He woke up and looked at Angelo in a daze. Then he scratched his head and smiled warmly.

"You're awake, Angeline," he said.

Looking at his smile, Angelo felt more touched. She nodded, thinking that even though she lost Drake, she had a good friend.

After the sleep, Angelo was more spirit. She stretched herself and said, "I want to leave here."

Her voice was waxy as she had just woken up.

The hospital smelled of disinfectant. Angelo didn't like it and spouted. Besides, Drake had shown his love for Christina here. So, she didn't want to stay here anymore.

The warm sunlight slanting through the open curtains fell on Angelo's face. She blinked her eyes, her long eyelashes shed light below her eyes.

The scene was so beautiful that Jeremy just stayed there, and his heart started to race. He didn't come to himself until Angelo waved her hand in front of his face. He looked away and then gently asked, "Is there anything wrong with you now?"

To show that she was fine, Angelo did a few stretches but was soon stopped by Jeremy.

Gently, she withdrew from Jeremy's arms and moved her arms.

"See? I'm totally fine."

Looking into her bright eyes, Jeremy looked down.

"Yeah," he answered. His heart was racing, and he felt so delighted, even his ear was red. But Angelo didn't notice these details.

"Can you help me with the discharge formalities?" she asked and got off the bed and put on her high heels. Jeremy stayed at first but then followed behind Angelo.

"How about you stay at the hospital for a few more days? What if there's any sequela?"

Hearing that, Angelo gave a helpless look. She didn't walk forward but turned back and put her hand on Jeremy's shoulder.

"I've been acting for so many years. It's normal for me to have sleeping pills. I just ate too much this time. I'll be fine. Don't worry."

After that, she turned to leave. But Jeremy was stunned by her words. He looked at her back with gloom in his eyes.

Many actors took sleeping pills. That was not surprising. But Angelo was a new person in showbiz. He didn't think she had such a big pressure that she needed to take sleeping pills. When he thought of the diagnosis sheet, he had a thought in his mind. He clenched his hands, swearing to protect Angelo.

Then he asked the assistant to go through the discharge formalities.

When he followed up with Angelo, there was still a sunny smile on his face. He just looked like a big boy.

To avoid being disturbed by reporters, the assistant had arranged a private channel for them. Thus, they didn't need to worry about being photographed.

When they reached the parking lot, Angelo breathed a long sigh of relief. She was finally free from the hospital smell.

"Come on. I'll send you back."

Jeremy waved the key at Angelo with a smile.

Angelo nodded. She didn't have a car right now, so she wouldn't miss the ride. Besides, Jeremy was kind of her friend now.

She had planned to sit in the back seat, but Jeremy opened the passenger seat for her. Angelo paused and then got in the car.

Jeremy hadn't got a girlfriend now, so it didn't matter where she sat. Thus, she didn't think much about it.

But what she didn't know was that Jeremy was thrilled when he saw her in the mirror.

Looking out of the window, Angelo sighed in her heart. She closed her eyes and gently rubbed her eyes.

Too many things had happened these days that she didn't even know what to do. Finally, everything was back on track now, and she just wanted to focus on her career for her revenge.

But when she thought of Drake, she felt hurt. Just then, her phone rang. She answered it when she saw that it was from Clarence.

"Have you seen the news about you and Jeremy?"

All of her attention was on the news about Drake and Christina when they were in the hospital, but she still read the news about herself.

Showbiz gossip was not usually true. She had prepared to hear gossips when Jeremy held her in the hospital.

Since it was gossip, it would be forgotten if the fans couldn't hear more about it. So, Angelo didn't understand why Clarence called her for it.

"Yeah. I've read it. Don't worry. We'll handle it," she answered gently.

Listening to her, Jeremy had guessed what was going on. He felt helpless. If it was possible, he hoped the rumor could come true. But that was impossible, he knew it.

"Don't worry about it. You're the new actors. So, we decide to excite it to get more attention from you. But still, I need to tell you about it to have a preparation," said Clarence hesitantly.
