The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 798

But as soon as he finished his words, he realized that they revealed his emotions and felt more remorse.
Angelo seemed to know something from his words and was delighted. "No," she denied at once.
Then she gave a cautious look at Angelo. Somehow, she felt that he looked jealous.
Drake must love her, she thought but forgot what Drake had said before.
Seeing her eager look, Jeremy smiled bitterly. He looked at Drake and clenched his fists. But then he thought of something and seemed to understand, then he let loose his fists.
"It's late. Just go home," he smiled at Angelo, who nodded and then looked at Drake with hopeful eyes.
"How about you send me home, Drake?" With that, she blinked.
Looking at her clear eyes, Drake's heart throbbed. But then he thought of what he had said before, a hit of a complex look appeared in his eyes. He hesitated for a while but finally shook his head and said indifferently, "You can take a taxi."
His words ruined Angelo's happiness, and she looked disappointed. At this point, Jeremy went up and said, "I can send you home." With that, he reached out to touch Angelo's head.
But Angelo hurriedly took a step back and avoided Jeremy's hand. Then she looked at Drake but found his face remaining passive, she felt upset.
She didn't want to take Jeremy's car, so she apologized, "Thanks, but Daisy can come to pick me up."
"You're Angelo's sister, he might blame me if he knew I didn't send you home. Just give me a chance, all right?" With that, he came up and held Angelo's hand.
Angeline was Angelo, but she couldn't tell Jeremy that. She hesitated, withdrew her hand, and went to Jeremy. Suddenly, Drake said, "Come here."

Angelo paused and turned to make sure if these words were from Drake but only saw his back.
While she hesitated, she thought: I heard that anyway, Drake couldn't deny it. Then she smiled and apologized to Jeremy, "Thanks for your kindness, Jeremy. I should go home."
After that, she trotted to Drake. Standing there, Jeremy looked at the back of the two with a complex expression.
As soon as Angelo got on the passenger seat, she fastened the safety belt. Looking at the handsome face of Drake, she felt like dreaming.
He had insisted not to take her home, but now she was in his car.
Looking out of the window, Angelo was delighted. What had happened in the parking lot appeared in her mind.
Drake must be jealous that he was so strange. The more she thought, the happier she felt. She opened her arms and shouted, "Ahhh!"
"Shut up!"
Hearing that, she had to stop and be quiet in her seat.
Not long after, they arrived at Green. Looking at the familiar building, Angelo was in a daze, wondering how short the road was.
"Get off."
Drake interrupted her thoughts. Angelo complained inside that Drake was so unromantic. When she turned to see Drake, an idea occurred to her.
She unfastened her safety belt and quickly kissed Drake on his face.
Drake stayed when he felt the soft touch on his face, and his ear soon blushed. He looked calm, but there was a mess in his heart.
"See you tomorrow, Drake."
Angelo got off and waved her hand at Drake, who then came to himself. Slightly, he nodded and then stepped on the accelerator.
Looking at the rushing car, Angelo felt more delighted. She held her bag tight in her arms but thought of Drake.

When she walked to a turn, she saw Ivy. She stayed and turned to look back. Luckily, she couldn't see the spot where she got off the car. She breathed a long sigh of relief. It was office taboo for an entertainer to have an affair with his or her boss.
If people knew it, they would think she became famous because she slept with her boss rather than working hard. That was unreasonable but also the truth.
"I knew you're here."
Seeing Angelo's move, Ivy thought she was about to flee, so she grabbed her arm at once.
Angelo had practiced karate, so it was easy for her to get rid of Ivy. She turned around and sneered, "I didn't expect you to wait for me here, Miss Ivy. You used to hate paparazzi to do that, right?"
"What?"
Ivy didn't know how to refute, and she wondered how Angelo knew that. But she wasn't here for it, and she came to warn Angelo.
"Don't you feel gross to act like that on the show?"
Angelo was surprised at Ivy's words. She didn't understand why Ivy asked her about that.
But soon, she thought of the show and seemed to understand something. Ivy also appeared as an innocent girl in front of the public.
She checked her Twitter and found that some of Ivy's fans followed her. It turned out that Ivy came because of the fans.
She sneered and thought she just paid back in kind. Then she approached Ivy's ear and said in a bleak voice, "You have taken everything of mine, now you just lost some fans, and you can't stand it?"
Angelo was talking about her adoptive parents killing her, but Ivy thought of something else, she took a few steps back and showed a look of horror.
Back in the time of the fashion show, Ivy had someone investigate Angeline but got no clue at all. When Angeline shot Clarence's movie, Ivy found that she was Angelo's sister. As the investigation deepened, she found out the identities of Angelo and Angeline.
"You know who you are?"
Angelo was confused when she heard that but then thought of the real identity of this body. She smiled and had an idea.
Secretly, she started the recording on her phone and then laughed.
"What are you laughing at?"
Ivy panicked when she heard Angelo's laughter.
"I'm laughing at you. You took my identity, and now you come to me to show off. You know I am the pure blood of the Watts, right?"

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

Leave Bad Enough Alone

Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy! Or maybe the city’s bards have just become too hopelessly pretentious and derivative. It’s hard to tell. But investigate it they must! Failure is not an option! An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
