The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 759

Looking at her back, Drake wasn't happy. Was he a monster? Why was Angelo afraid of him so much?
He thought for a while but had no clue at all. Then he just stopped thinking about it and picked up the contract to read.
Soon, someone cleared the table.
At this time, Angelo was reading the files in the secretary's office and checked the time from time to time.
At half-past one, she got a message. In the message, there was the address sent by Daisy. Angelo looked anxious.
Finally, she took a deep breath, grabbed the file, and went to Drake's office.
In the office, Drake was focusing on his work. Looking at his profile, Angelo bit her teeth and knocked on the door.
"Come in, please." It was still the familiar cold voice.
Angelo entered the office. Drake glanced at her but didn't stop tapping the keyboard.
"What's the matter?"
"Mr. Thorne, you should go out from two to five. Would you like to go earlier?"
Drake checked the time, nodded, and turned off his computer.
"Is the car ready?" asked Drake and then frowned as he saw Angelo freeze in place.
"Ah?"
Angelo was surprised. She didn't know she should prepare a car for him.
Looking at Angelo like this, Drake felt helpless. Then Lisa came and respectively said to Drake, "Mr. Thorne, the car is waiting downstairs."
"Okay," replied Drake. Then he left with Lisa following behind.
Looking at their back, Angelo felt frustrated. She thought about it and followed up, but the lift was already down then. She sighed and walked to the window.
Just then, her phone rang. Seeing that it was from Daisy, she answered.
"Angelo, I just saw Drake downstairs. When do you come?"
"Right now."
Angelo remembered her business. Then she took the elevator down and went to the coffee shop.

According to the message from Daisy, Angelo found her. Through the window, she saw Drake outside and mumbled, "Why do you sit near the window, Daisy? What if Drake sees you?"
"Don't worry. He's so busy that he won't notice us here."
Angelo thought about it and thought it made sense. She knew how busy Drake was, so she didn't think he would look up.
While thinking, she looked down through the window. Somehow, she wondered if it was her illusion that her eyes seemed to meet Drake's while she was looking down.
"Well, here are the clothes I chose for you. See?"
With that, Daisy picked up the shopping bags.
Looking at the big bags, Angelo didn't know what to say. She forgot about the illusion and took out the clothes.
"I don't know which style you prefer. So I bought one set of each style. Pick one!"
Only a rich girl like Daisy would say those words. Angelo couldn't help sighing. These clothes were the latest style of Dior. Even when she lived as Angela, a celebrity, she would not buy so many.
But Daisy just didn't care about that. These were all the latest she could buy. She would buy more if there were more.
Angelo flipped them through and finally chose a pale green jumpsuit, which she had been preferring.
"I think this set is best for you."
Daisy smiled when she saw Angelo choose this one. There was praise in her tone.
"Then let me change it now?"
Daisy was excited when she heard that and pushed Angelo to the bathroom.
"Don't worry. I booked the whole coffee shop. No one will come."
"All right," answered Angelo, entering the bathroom.
Slowly, she untied her corset belt and changed into the jumpsuit.
As she was walking out of the bathroom, Daisy was shocked. She had imagined Angelo's look in this outfit, but it still surprised her when Angelo showed up.

The well-fitting jumpsuit showed her big boobs and sexy hips. Her neat short hair gave a touch of glamour to her handsomeness, and her temperament was so attractive.
"Can I wear this?"
As a girl, Angelo cared about her image. Besides, she was wearing female clothes now. So when she saw Daisy's surprising look, she was kind of nervous.
"Yeah. You look great!" complimented Daisy at once.
She walked around Angelo and looked at her up and down, showing her admiration.
"Oh, my god! Who am I? Where am I?" Angelo joked with a blush on her face.
Daisy laughed and pulled her out, "All right. Let's choose a pair of shoes."
Angelo's eyes twitched again as she looked at the dozens of shoes in front of her. Daisy, she thought, was indeed extravagant.
When she thought of Daisy doing this for her, she was touched. She walked forward and hugged Daisy, whispering in her ear, "Thank you!"
Daisy stayed and then pushed Angelo away. She stared at Angelo's eyes and earnestly exclaimed, "We are friends, right? We should help each other. All right. Choose one now."
That was so sweet. Angelo smiled and kept all her feelings inside. Then she chose a pair of heels in the same color as her jumpsuit.
After that, she felt she was lack of something. As she touched her short hair, Daisy explained, "I learned that the heroine of the movie Clarence is about to shoot has short hair. So, I didn't prepare any wig for you. By the way, it's more convenient for you to change."
"Yeah."
Angelo didn't entangle about her hair anymore. She nodded and took her phone to call Clarence.
Just then, Daisy took the phone from her. Looking at the confused face of Angelo, she gave a wry smile.
She poked at Angelo's nose and said helplessly, "This is Angelo's phone with Angelo's number. If you use it to call Clarence, what if the number being exposed when you are famous? Are you going to tell others that Angeline is Angelo Thorne?"
Hearing that, Angelo realized that she was too careless. But how could she get a number at the moment? She was entangled.
"I have prepared one for you."
With that, Daisy handed her a phone. Angelo took it over and found that she happened to endorse this phone when she was Angela.
"Angela used to endorse it. I hope you can be as popular as her."
"Yeah."

(Un)Paralleled
Based on the novel by MGHT, Unparalleled. Things are not as they were. In this alternate story, follow our Hero(?) as he traverses the world. But, is this world really the one we know? I will be using MGHT's original story as a guideline, and applying my own touch to it. Due to there being a lack of information on the wider scope of things, I'll be throwing in things that may not adhere to the original author's plans. Then again, what fun is there in reading something that has already been done? Tags and genres stated are subject to change without notice, be it the addition or removal of tags. Cover art is a fanart I found online a long time ago. Character is Gyuki from Nurarihyon No Mago.

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
