The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 702

"Wait…wait for me, Angelo."
"What do you want, Miss Hill?" Angela looked directly at Stella with a bit of tenderness.
Stella gazed into Angelo's eyes; her heart started racing as she saw something flash in Angela's eyes. Was that love?
"I…I mean to say that there's a small party at my home for you…since now you're…you are my fiancé…" Stella trailed off.
Angela stilled when she heard Stella. This was an excellent opportunity to get close to the Hill family! But of course, she had to pretend to be disgruntled. Rolling her eyes, Angela pretended to be annoyed and impatient.
Stella stilled, looking at Angelo in intrigue and curiosity. She was wondering why Angelo did not expose her plot? Why was she going along with the ruse of being her fiancé? Was she accepting this lie? Did Angelo want this as much she wanted her? Was he playing hard to get?
"Angelo, lots of celebs are going to be at this party. This will be great for your career as well. Maybe you will open yourself to more opportunities in the film industry."
Angela pretended to look thoughtful yet hesitant. She then turned to Hale and said, "Hale, I'm going to go with Stella."
Hale looked at the young Thorne shell-shocked, "But…but Mister Thorne, you just left the hospital…"
"I know, I feel fine, and I want to go with Stella since she's inviting me," Angela replied.
Hale nodded and looked at Stella carefully. She did not know what to think about this relationship but could not do anything but nod, "Alright, Mister Thorne. If you're sure."
Stella pulled Angela to her shiny red Roadster. She opened the door for Angela, helping him sit, and then jumped into the driver's seat. Angela rolled her window down and enjoyed the wind whipping her hair. Stella was driving way beyond the speed limit, but Angela was enjoying every second of it. She needed an adrenaline rush after four long days on a hospital bed.

Before long, they arrived at the Hill residence. The house was not by any means as large as the Thorne estate, but it was still a reasonable size, with a large open yard at the front. Angela untied her seat belt and got out of the car, Stella quickly following her.
"Angelo, you can go inside into the first door on the right. That is the guest bedroom. I already laid out some clothes for you if you want to change. I'll go change my clothes as well."
Angela nodded and went inside, following Stella's instructions. She could hear people's voices, so she quickly ran inside the bedroom. She wanted to freshen up before she faced the storm. She walked into the bathroom and washed her face; she looked a bit peaky but thankfully, Stella had laid out some personal hygiene kit as well, along with the clothes.
After freshening up, she timidly walked closer to the voices. Though she had planned everything out, double living lives was exhausting. She did not even want to think about how many lies she was involved in right now.
As she walked into the room, a hush fell over as eyes turned around to look at her. Stella had laid out a black suit for him; thankfully, it was more casual than formal, giving her room to breathe and move around. She had paired the dress with black shoes and an expensive watch. She had to admit that Stella had a good choice when it came to clothes.
Feeling the attention from the others, Angela helplessly smiled. She quickly grabbed a glass of red wine from the tray and sat down to look busy and avoid the awkward staring.
She looked around and noticed Abby was present as well, currently talking to another guy in a black suit. Angela smiled as a thought started to form in her mind. Her first part of the plan could go into effect tonight, Angela thought.

Abby had given Angela a bad vibe, and she did not like the thought of her going after Drake. She knew girls like Abby; they were in it only for the money, much like Stella.
Angela grabbed another glass and walked up to Abby.
"Abby, long time no see."
Abby was surprised but excited to see Angelo meeting her. She did not think Stella would let her out of her eyes. She looked around and found Stella was nowhere, so she smiled softly. Abby knew about Stella's temper, so she did want to take any chances.
Angela kneeled closer to Abby and whispered in her ear.
"I did not forget what you wanted. Don't worry, I'll talk to him."
As Angela was much taller than Abby, it seemed from one side that she was leaning down and kissing her.
"Yes, thank you!" Abby gleamed at Angela excitedly.
Angela got exactly what she wanted as she heard Stella's angry yell from across the room. She strode towards them angrily, stomping her feet. She suddenly pushed Abby roughly away from Angela.
"What the hell?" Abby looked up in shock at Stella.
"What are you doing, you bitch?" Stella yelled at Abby.
"What do you mean? I'm not doing anything!" Abby spluttered, looking around in confusion.
Stella laughed, "So you think you can kiss my fiancé and get away with it!?" Her face turned red in anger when she suddenly stepped forward and slapped Abby hard across her face.
"You are such a bitch! I knew it!" said Stella, with resentment.
Watching the scene unfold in front of her, Angela stepped back and smirked. This had turned out better than she had planned.
"MOVE!" Abby yelled loudly while holding onto her face. She pushed the people aside in frustration and stormed out of the room.
Angela quite enjoyed her night after her successful enactment of revenge, part one. As she had thought in the hospital, she was done being the damsel in distress. It was time for her to stand up and get back at everyone that had wronged her, which was everyone at this point. She was completely alone in this world, but she was strong enough now to face her haters.

Reality Grants One Chance
Some people are lucky, some aren't, some - have terrible luck. Our "hero" is of the latter kind. During young age he got into an accident, which allowed him to learn the fact that he belongs to a rare group of people.. People diagnosed with lung cancer, which he, however survived. Can't say he's lucky, as his life went downhill from that point... Our story happens years later, when his fate decides to make a loop and throw him in the same kind of accident. He gets hit by a truck. Surviving the crash, suffering just a few scratches, he is ultimately "lucky" to find himself out of the hospital in no time.. however every bit of good luck always brings him terrible luck afterwards. This time pushing him maybe a bit too far.. How far? Making him vanish without a trace and find himself in the middle of an unknown forrest. Doesn't sound bad? He can consider himself lucky? Just wait and see...It can always get worse.. always.. .... Congratulations, you've made it through the intro and into the author note! If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
