The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 695

Angela was up bright and early the next day. Today's shooting day would be a long one as they were rehearsing a couple of long scenes; however, Acton had asked them to come in in the evening. Angela was thankful since she had to go shopping. Now that she was in the public spotlight, she needed to dress the part, and unfortunately, Angelo's closet was quite limited. She was quite looking forward to having a day to herself where she could get pampered. She had planned on getting a manicure, getting her brows done, and then picking up a couple of outfits.
As soon as she had her breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt, Angela asked the housekeeper to arrange for the driver to drop her off at the mall.
The housekeeper was surprised and looked at her wristwatch.
"It's only ten o'clock now, Mister Angelo. Are you sure you're going to the site now? Isn't your shooting in the evening today?"
Angela internally rolled her eyes. This was one thing she hated about housekeeper Hale. He was incredibly nosy and was always asking unnecessary questions. Though it made sense, Angela thought since technically she was eighteen years old. Sometimes it was hard to act like a teenager when she was almost ten years older.
"Yes, but I need to go to the mall first, so I will just go straight to the studio from the mall," Angela replied in an exasperated tone.
Looking at the view outside while in the car, Angela prayed that there would be no reporters in the mall. She just wanted a relaxing day because she knew this would only worsen as she progressed with the movie. She shuddered to think what it would be like when the movie would be released.
In her previous life, she was tired of the constant press, but she had gotten used to it. Now, it was like she had to assimilate herself to the scrutiny all over again, which was tiring and frustrating at times.

Angela went towards the brow bar first. Though she hated the pain of threading, the soft skin after and the immaculate shape of her brows made it worth the pain. Next, she slowly walked to the salon to get her manicure. She decided on a basic French Manicure as she did not want to do anything drastic in case it contrasted with her role as Elizabeth. Angela was humming as she listened to the ladies performing the manicure talking among themselves. Why didn't she do this before? This was so relaxing and needed after everything she had faced, from being murdered to being reborn as Angelo Thorne. Heck, just dealing with Drake Thorne called for a spa day, she snickered to herself.
And thankfully, no one had recognized her with her ball cap and discreet 'normal' clothing.
After the manicure, she decided to grab a bite to eat as her stomach was rumbling. She had noticed she got a lot hungrier as Angelo Thorne compared to Angela Watts. However, her metabolism was fast (thankfully), so she did not worry too much. Even if it were not, Drake would probably make sure she exercised even if he had to drag her out of bed himself.
Angela decided to grab a falafel wrap, a healthy yet fulfilling meal. She sat down to eat and took out her phone to entertain herself.
She had only gotten two bites of her wrap when she was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. She internally sighed and looked up, already despising the person who had recognized her through her dull persona. When she looked up, she was surprised to see a familiar face. She could recall the girl's name was Abby, a fellow actress who had just been breaking into the acting scene when Angela had been at her peak after her most successful role. What did she want from Angelo Thorne?
"So, you're the great Angelo Thorne?" Abby spoke up with contempt in her eyes.

Angela was taken aback. She opened her mouth to retort but quickly stopped herself. She had to remember to treat her as Angelo Thorne would and not Angela Watts.
Angela had met Abby a couple of times previously, but she had been a shy girl then and looked upon Angela as a hero and idol. Abby had never spoken to her like this before.
Angela narrowed her eyes, trying to keep her annoyance at bay, "Yes, I am."
Without invitation, Abby plopped down at the seat in front of Angela.
"I'm Abby…Abby Green," she replied and put out her hand.
Angela hesitantly wiped her hands clean and shook Abby's hand. "Nice to meet you, Abby."
"So, you're in the new movie of Acton Moore?"
Angela nodded, trying to portray the quiet and shy personality of Angelo.
"So how do you like it so far? Since it is your first time probably, right?" Abby asked her again with a glint of envy and contempt in her eyes.
"I like it, it's a different experience but challenging and fun," Angela kept it general since she did not know what Abby wanted from her, and she did not like the look in her eyes.
"Yeah, of course, it would be different since the Thorne' have never really acted before, right?"
Angela shook her head no.
"So, who gave you permission? Since I heard Drake Thorne is pretty strict?" Abby asked inquisitively.
Angela immediately became on high alert. Why was she asking about the Thorne family? Though she wanted to snap at Abby, she simply decided to shrug her shoulders quietly. Angela did not want to start making enemies already.
"I also heard about everything going on between you and Stella." Abby then leaned in excitedly, "Are you two really a thing?"
Angela was getting annoyed now. "No, we're not," she replied curtly.
"Well, really? From the picture, it looked like you were!" Abby replied accusingly with her brows raised.
"Well, why are you asking then?" Angela angrily said. What the hell did she even want? She had not even finished her wrap yet!
"Jesus, calm down! You know Angelo, you are not going to get anywhere in this industry with that attitude!"
Angela spluttered in shock. The nerve of this bitch! "Abby, why are you really here? I'm guessing it is not to make small talk with me?" She could tell that Abby was putting on a show, but Angela was not certain why.
Hearing her words, Abby blushed and then leaned in and whispered, "I heard that you are very close with your brother, Drake. I want…I want to have a meeting with him? Can you help me?"
Ahhh, Angela thought. There it is! The real reason why Abby was talking to her. She wanted to fuck Drake!
"Why do you want to have a meeting with him?" Angela asked questioningly, trying to portray the image of an innocent eighteen-year-old brother.
"Oh, just for business. You wouldn't understand," Abby brushed her off quickly.
Angela thought for a moment and nodded her head. "All right. I will try to help." Angela agreed, but "try to help" did not mean she would actually do it.
"Oh my God! That is so kind of you, Angelo." Abby gushed.
Angela internally rolled her eyes and nodded while looking at her watch. "It was nice to meet you, Abby, but I have some errands to run, so…" she trailed off, hoping Abby would get the hint and leave her alone.
"Oh, of course!" Abby leaned in her purse and pulled out a business card. "Here's my contact information. I'll be waiting for that call!" Abby looked at Angela knowingly and walked away with a swagger in her walk Angela had not noticed before.

Trailblazer
The story of a man who accidentally wrote another world into existence. Everyone breaks away from their mundane daily life in one way or another. Our protagonist, an unfortunate consequence of circumstance, being no different, often escaped the harsh reality of life by writing stories of an alternate world of swords and magic. Though he recognized the difference between reality and fantasy, he could've never imagined what would happen, when the line between the two blurred as lightning struck down from the skies, and his escapism fantasy became all too real... After he came to, he would soon learn that things in the other world aren't quite as he remembered them to be. The world he wrote of had become but a shadow of its former self. Albeit hesitant at first, he sets off on a quest to find out the secrets behind the Trails, yet even then, he can't help but wonder... Can he really bring his world back to its old glory? —————————— I have never written a story before in my life and now I'm doing so in a language I don't natively speak. Groundbreaking quality is probably not something to be expected, but I do my best to keep things readable. With the necessities out of the way, both constructive criticism and other suggestions are very much welcome, and I'll do my best to take them into account when writing future chapters.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
