The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 670

Catherine didn't find out the truth until later. It was due to her uncle, Lawson, that Sean got to find the girl he dedicated his life to.
Lawson came up with the idea of hooking Catherine up with all sorts of businessmen and politicians after the huge gap in funds resulted from the poor management of his company. He used to take Catherine to attend various parties in case some rich man was interested. So Lawson could trade her for investment, not caring she was only 19 at the time.
Sean saw Catherine at one wine tasting.
Catherine wore a slim white dress that brought up her figure. She didn't wear any makeup. Looking confused in the corner, she turned down every man that approached her for a dance.
Unlike other women who wore so much makeup, Catherine seemed so pure and innocent. Her big and round eyes were like two grapes. At that moment, Catherine's look overlapped with the little girl who helped him out. That was how Sean recognized her at once.
After 13 years of continuous efforts, Sean found her. He was exhilarated and overwhelmed with the urge to talk to Catherine. But Lawson introduced her to one of the businessmen. Then Sean learned Lawson needed money to save his company.
"So you asked Uncle Lawson to take me to the party and pretend that was the first time you knew me?" asked Catherine.
Sean cleared his throat. He had to admit he was up to something. He just wanted to mislead Lawson, so he could make an offer to force Lawson to let Catherine marry him.
"Lawson needed money, and I want you. If money can help me achieve the goal, I wouldn't mind using it. And the truth is he didn't hesitate to accept my offer."

"So Uncle Lawson sold me out." And he was paid generously, Catherine wondered.
"Catherine, I didn't mean to insult you. Don't take me wrong."
Sean wouldn't think how outrageous it was in the past. It was a trade of interests. But he was terrified that Catherine would think less of him.
"It's okay. You buy yourself a marriage."
"Catherine..."
"I knew Uncle Lawson needed money. But I thought if he treated me like family, he wouldn't think of selling me out. Later, we met a few more times. You didn't say anything, and I didn't overthink. It wasn't until Uncle Lawson told me to marry that I knew about your deal."
Sean would give Lawson $200 million first and initiate the rest of the investment after they got married.
"Catherine, I..." Sean was struggling to find the right words to explain.
"I know. This is what you do. I don't blame you."
"You really aren't mad at me?"
"Water under the bridge. Getting mad you won't change anything. Besides, if you didn't be so aggressive, we wouldn't be here."
Sean held Catherine tightly, "Sorry. I know you didn't want to get married, but I forced you anyway. You were furious. When you came to challenge me, to be honest, I'm pretty upset. I'm so sad, seeing your eagerness to run away from me,"
Catherine once came to confront Sean once she knew she had to marry Sean against her will. She told him she didn't want to marry him and asked him to stop pressuring Uncle Lawson with money. But Sean said coldly, "No way. You can only marry me."
No matter what she said and how hard she tried, Sean wouldn't compromise. He was determined to marry her.
Catherine held back the urge to laugh, thinking of how she confronted him, saying, "I would think you fall in love with me the first time you saw me and have to build a life with me if I thought more about you back then."

Catherine thought about persuading Sean to marry her cousin. Marrying her or her cousin wouldn't change the nature of the marriage. What's more, Lawson and his wife would be thrilled to see their daughter marry a man like Sean.
But Sean's mind was set on her.
"What's puzzling me is why you insist on marrying me? You knew I was too young to get a marriage license in the city hall. Why are you still eager to hold the wedding? And I was crazy about Marco. I must hate you at that time."
Catherine couldn't think of an answer no matter how hard she tried. After she was reborn, she fell out with Marco and got to know Sean. He was a warm man who acted indifferently. He was nice to her and indulged her.
"What were you thinking?" asked Sean.
"Well, at first, I thought you just liked to force people. It's a terrible thing you broke up a couple. You're too possessive to let other men have me. But I gradually realized what a man Marco was and what a great man you were. Then I wondered whether you fell in love with me at first glance. That was the only reason I could think of."
Sean bent over to kiss her forehead, "You're right. I have liked you the first time I laid eyes on you. I knew I couldn't live without you when that cute little girl looked at me with her bright eyes."
He continued, "I knew you were only six. But you were so adorable. You decided to help me even if I didn't talk to you. You are so kind."
"I heard someone saying help and got out. How could I sit by and watch as you were in trouble? You're right. I'm too kind."
"Yes, you're the kindest."
"Sean, do you mean it?"
"Of course. I mean everything I ever said to you and whatever I will say in the future."
Sean was not an easy kid to befriend with at that time. But Catherine didn't care how cold or rude he was, once she was determined to help him, she wouldn't leave until she did. He was impressed and couldn't get her out of his head.
"Why do you keep trying to find me? We were just kids then. Why don't you give up?"
"I have to find you. You're good at hide-and-seek, but luckily, I'm good at it too. So I find you."
"What if you can't find me for the rest of your life?" asked Catherine.
"Silly you." Catherine had the urge to cry, "You don't need to find me. We only met twice by then. It's nothing. You can marry another girl and live a happy life with her."
"But you're my happiness."

It isn't omnipotent and has definite origins which I'll explain later in the story. Another important aspect is world-building and crafting. I'll go into quite a lot of detail on both of them.

Condemned
“The human body is a fragile thing. But the soul... The soul is malleable. Easily tainted. All it takes is one drop of blood to dye it all red.” Long ago, in a time remembered only by a few, the seven lords of Syvernia, led by the Great Hero Ludwig, ended the Great Calamity that plagued humanity for as long as time itself. It was the dawn of a new age of man. . . until the thirst for more poisoned the new lords. Slowly, the thread that held humanity together loosened and a thick haze consumed the lands between. Mysterious vanishings, supernatural forces, and silence warns of a looming threat inside the coat of fog. Though the struggle of the realms did not interest Leor, for he was condemned as a Purblight, until he took a seemingly simple job: escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward, a reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denounced the Gods. All his life, death followed Leor everywhere he went, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of an agent of light, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice promised him a chance for retribution and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. Thrown into the realm's struggle against the approaching haze and themselves, will Leor, a Purblight and an acquaintance of tragedy, use the very power he disdains to accomplish his goals? This is the rewrite of my novel: Condemned; I changed it to past tense and added/ took out some ideas from the original. This is essentially the first draft since I'm writing as I go. Also, there might be or might not be Gore, Sexual, or Traumatizing content. I only put it there for a disclaimer in case I want to add it. I have no set release schedule yet, but I'll try to post once every 2 week. Thanks for your patience.

A death of holding no memory of the previous life into the new. An error in the system led to the birth that changed from the desired chosen reincarnation. Mixed of a spider and a dragon, born from the womb of a mother who'd immediately abandon their children. What life awaits the Spider Dragon as they level up into different stages and live in a new world of Sorcery and Sword, and now Monsters?! Trying out a LitRPG, this time more focused on building up the character and their power. Considering my initial failed attempt on a former series on a different site. Will be my main focus in releasing chapters more than once per week. The other fictions will release once or less a week considering they are shorter based stories as this one is intended for more content than a short and brief few novels. Thank you readers for checking out Vritra. Please give feedback on ways that I can grow my form of writing to fit in your engagement and understanding. Trying to get better and soon will have more time to type down words compared to these past weeks.
