The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 669

Sean looked calm. But no one noticed how he clenched his fists to hide the overwhelming emotions.
He took a look at the photo before. It was taken when he was in middle high school when he was 12 or 13. His looks didn't change much.
Catherine once told Sean how she encountered and helped a boy when she was a kid. She was only six years old. So could she remember his look?
Catherine felt unbelievable and uncertain at the same time. The boy in the picture looked so familiar. He was the little boy she boasted of helping out as a kid. She even gave him a snack to comfort him. But how could it be Sean?
"Is this really you, Sean?" asked Catherine with a lot of anticipation.
Sean said yes gently.
Suddenly, the one thing that Catherine failed to ignore was in her mind clearly.
"So you're the little boy in the ranch?" asked Catherine.
Sean loosened fists and said, "Yes."
"Oh My God, what are the chances? You married the same girl you saw once at the ranch as a kid." David said.
This was not what Catherine expected at all. She could frankly say that she didn't think much of the little anecdote in her childhood. She always assumed she first met Sean as an adult. Their fate was intertwined long ago, which she failed to notice.
"What's going on? Do you know each other already?" Vivian asked curiously. Other family members were interested in their story as well.
Catherine said, "Yeah. And I saved him if my memory is correct."
"You saved Sean? How?" asked Iris with utter curiosity.
"I was six when my family took me to a ranch on vacation. I was drawing pictures in my room when I heard someone saying 'help' outside. I looked down from the window, and it was little helpless Sean whose feet were stuck." Catherine said. She was surprised at all those details she could remember.

"How could you remember this clearly? You were so little."
"Perhaps it's because Sean was the prettiest little boy I ever met," Catherine said.
Antonio held back the urge to laugh, "Sean is quite beautiful."
"I came across Sean when his foot was stuck in the grass. So I helped pull it out." Catherine said.
"I remembered. Sean came back with mud on his feet. We asked what had happened, and he wouldn't tell us. But he did bring back a lollipop." Thomas said.
Antonio smiled, "Who knew a girl six years younger than Sean saved him?"
David said, "That must be destiny. You are brought back years later."
"I'm impressed with how brave, and kind Catherine was. She didn't have to help Sean, but she chose to." Thomas said.
Iris said, "Sean, is Catherine the girl you've been looking for all these years? Do your precious butterfly hair pins belong to her?"
Catherine's eyelids twitched. Years have passed since they were both kids. She stared at Sean, both nervous and expecting to hear his answer. Could that little girl Sean told her about be her?
Sean looked back at Catherine and kept silent for a long time.
Then he bent over and kissed Catherine's eyes. His voice was so gentle, "I finally find you, silly girl."
Sean's voice landed on Catherine's heart like a feather. She felt her heart start pounding. Feeling blankness in her mind, Catherine forgot to respond and kept staring at Sean.
"That's the most romantic story I've ever heard. Guys, let's give the couple a round of applause." David suggested.
The past evidently surprised Iris too. She said, "So Catherine is the girl Sean has been looking for."
Pearl couldn't be more wrong about Sean falling in love with someone else. Actually, it was Catherine that Sean fell in love with.

"Yes. Catherine is the girl I've been looking for."
"Sean, you've been trying to track Catherine down for so many years. Haven't you thought of giving up?" asked David.
"No. I'm too focused on finding her. Nothing else matters."
Catherine was moved by how persistent Sean could be.
Sean smiled, "I'm treated with generosity. At least I'm not let down."
"Yeah. The universe gives you what you want, seeing how genuine and persistent you are."
Iris said, "Catherine, I envy you! That's so romantic."
Sean held Catherine's hands and said, "Catherine, you're the love of my life. Come with me, and I want to show you something."
They left home, and Sean drove to a sight-seeing tower, the landmark in London. From afar, it looked incredibly beautiful with colorful lights on.
Sean and Catherine got to the top floor. He held Catherine from behind her back and they looked down at the night view. They are like bright stars in the sky with splendid and glistening light. The beauty was beyond words.
"It's gorgeous," Catherine said.
"The tower gives us the best view of London," Sean said.
"Really? It's a pity I've never been here before."
"It's fine. I'll come with you whenever you like."
"Are you feeling cold?" asked Sean, worried she would get cold.
"Not with you by my side," Catherine answered. "Why do you want to find me?" That was the question Catherine cared about the most.
"No reason. I just want to."
Catherine wasn't satisfied with Sean's answer.
"I totally forget about you."
"Why? I thought you said I was handsome."
"Because it was a long time ago."
"I want you to remember me. But I realize you get jealous of yourself."
Catherine asked, "You want me to see that photo, don't you?"
Sean didn't answer. Catherine knew she was right.
"You can tell me."
"If you can't recognize me in the photo, you probably won't remember me nor believe me."
"But I do remember you. Why not tell me when I saw the butterfly hair pins at the resort?"
"Do you recognize me when you first saw me?" asked Sean.
"Do you?"
"Of course." Sean didn't hesitate.
"We first met at a party. You recognized me then?" asked Catherine.
"Not at that party. It's a bit earlier."

Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
