When Catherine came home from Carmela Resort, instead of turning more relaxed, she became worried and insecure. It was all because of that little girl Sean remembered.

Although Catherine liked to think of herself as an independent woman, she couldn't help getting affected by this. Somehow, the little girl that Sean spoke of sweetly brought Catherine back when she was six. It was then that she met that little boy.

When Catherine was six, her family took her out on a Christmas trip on a ranch. The owner was a close friend of her family. That was why they chose the place. She still remembered how breath-taking the view was. The air was fresh, and the flowers were blossoming. She could see the blue sky and clear waters. It was the first time she saw horses.

Since Catherine was too little to ride horses alone, her family left her in the care of the ranch owner and went out riding. As little Catherine was drawing pictures in her room, she heard a faint voice, "Help!"

She wasn't minded first, but the voice kept ringing in her ears. So she got up, approached the window, stood on the bench to look outside. A little boy was stuck in the grass and couldn't get out. He was the one yelling for help. Young Catherine didn't hesitate to go downstairs and came to the little boy.

It didn't take Catherine long to get to the little boy. His feet were stuck, and he couldn't get out. Seeing the boy in distress, Catherine asked, "Hi, are you okay? Do you need my help?"

Strangely, the boy turned his head around and didn't reply. Catherine bent over to check his feet. Then she said, "It's okay. Don't get scared. I'll help you." She lowered her body, grabbed the boy's foot, and said, "On three, we'll start pulling at once, okay?"

Catherine counted, "Three, two, and ... one!" Both started pulling, and Catherine fell backward due to the force. She got up, paying no attention to the mud, saying, "Hey, you're no longer stuck!"

The boy looked at her calmly, showing no intention to say thanks. Catherine didn't care. She was so thrilled to help others, saying, "Where are your parents? Are you hungry? Here, take my favorite strawberry lollipop."

As Catherine was about to give the boy her lollipop, she heard someone calling her name from behind. She turned her head around and saw her family coming over. She put the lollipop on the ground and said, "Sorry, I have to go." The boy looked at her as she went farther and farther.

Little did Catherine knew that the boy picked up the butterfly hair pins she dropped accidentally.

On the second day, Catherine and Sean came back. Sean's big brother, Antonio, came home from the military. Vivian and Thomas were excited to see their eldest. At night, they all sat in the living room to have a nice talk over hot chocolate after dinner.

Vivian was the first to notice that David took a thick photo album with him. She asked, "David, why do you take the photo album out?"

David said, "Dad is in a sudden mood to see our pictures as kids. I got the album from grandma's room and haven't had a chance to open it."

Everyone's curiosity was aroused.

Catherine whispered, "Sean, are your childhood pictures in it?"

"I think so," answered Sean.

"I want to see." Catherine was dying to find out what Sean looked like as a small boy.

The pictures were all taken when Sean, Antonio, and David were kids. There were taken from when they were born and turned different ages.

"Sean, I guess you're born with a poker face. Look, you are so stern. Why do you wear a permanently insulted face?"

Iris laughed out, "It's true. Sean has been like this since he was a kid."

Antonio nodded, "Sean's nickname as a kid was 'Grouchy Face'. He is always serious and seldom plays with other kids."

Catherine smiled, "But Sean is so handsome. And he's still hot now. I think the time has been nice to him."

"Yeah. Sean's just taller." Vivian said.

Antonio said, "And Sean is such a playboy. I remembered how little girls waited in lines to be Sean's girlfriend. They would intercept him on his way to school, to the library, and to football exercises. It's literally eye-opening for me. Wherever Sean went, some girls just came out of nowhere and asked to be his girlfriends. If I hadn't been there, I wouldn't believe it myself."

Catherine sneered, "Oh, I guess Sean really knows his way around ladies."

David laughed out, "Catherine, don't get jealous. Just take a look at Sean's poker face. Which girl would want to approach him?"

Antonio said, "David, you're wrong. When Sean was in middle school, his drawer in school was stuffed with love letters and gifts. He was so bored with tidying up and asked his friend to throw them away."

"How do you know, Antonio?" asked Sean.

"Well, I just do."

"Are there photos of Sean in middle school?" asked Catherine.

David answered, "Show them to me."

Sean's heart started pounding for some reason. He was 12 when he started middle school. That was also the year he met that little girl.

"This one!" Iris yelled as she pointed at one photo. In the background was an open field. The teenager in the photo dressed as a cowboy with the full gear from hats, boots, chaps, spurs, and cuffs. What was most eye-catching about the photo was the boy was on a horse.

"This must be from when Sean was 12 or 13? He was so tall and handsome. The girls in high school were crazy about him. They stopped him on his way to school to tell him they wanted to be his girlfriends. And they kept sending Sean chocolate and love letters. It's so funny." Antonio said.

Antonio only brought this up to mess with Sean.

The second Catherine saw the photo, she snatched it over from Iris's hands and stared at the boy in the photo, and got shocked.
