The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 639

Catherine's photo was clear. But Sean couldn't see their looks because the photo was shot from the audience seats. But, he could tell they are young without having to see their faces. And he saw their tall figures and energetic moves.
Sean got jealous and sent another message which read, "Are you there because they're hot? I wanna know what's your opinion,"
Catherine picked up Sean's jealousy instantly. She thought he must be so mad while typing the words.
"No. I'm here for the match. Besides, I don't have much to do after the class's over. So I came over with the girls."
"really?"
"Yeah. And I didn't get a good look at either of them."
Sean knew Catherine was lying. She just told him how good-looking the players were. Now she said she couldn't get a clear look.
Catherine lied because she sensed Sean was mad. She sent another message which read, "I don't care even if they are hot. I'm married. Besides, they're not as hot as you. For me, you're the best."
"Liar!"
Catherine could deal with it as long as Sean didn't get mad. She was relieved that Sean didn't send another message asking about Ken or Elliot. Then she decided not to tell him if she went to another match, because he got jealous so easily.
"I have to leave for business tomorrow morning. I can't make it to Friday's class."
"Okay."
"Geoffrey will pick you up on Friday, Don't wander about."
Catherine recalled how the class monitor told her about an event. She thought it over and told Sean about it. She wouldn't come back this weekend.
Sean stared at the message and texted, "Whatever." That was it.
Catherine didn't get his message for a while. So she put her phone away and focused on the game.

The first half was over. The computer team was 14 points behind the corporate management team.
"I think Ken is better. Do you agree?"
"Yeah. He's good."
Catherine saw how Ken dunked. Her friends got out of control, screaming and yelling.
"Elliot is coming this way!" Anna was so nervous that she stuttered a bit.
Elliot did cross the court and came over at them. His aim was clear. So he didn't hesitate and walked fast.
Anna and Ethel were so excited. Ethel grabbed Catherine's hands, "Catherine, Elliot is coming to us."
But Catherine had a bad hunch about it.
"I have to go to the bathroom."
The second Catherine stood up, Elliot came to her.
Catherine sat on the first row. There was a step between her and the basketball court. And Elliot was a bit taller than that.
"Ethel, it's for you."
"What?" Ethel couldn't be more confused. She could hear her heartbeat seeing Elliot.
"For me?" asked Ethel.
"I think so," Catherine answered.
Ethel pulled her hair back and said, "Elliot?"
Elliot frowned, "Catherine, I'm here for you."
Ethel was frustrated.
Catherine said, "Sorry. I have to go to the bathroom."Then she ran away. She wasn't relieved until after she left the auditorium. She said, "Luckily, I ran out of there. What a shock!"
Elliot's look was very hot. She was smart to know what it meant, which surprised her. She wondered why Elliot liked her.
"Could it be that I punched Elliot the day that I performed peacock dance? But it's unlikely. Why does Elliot like the girl who beat him up, not girls who were nice to him?"Catherine asked herself.
Catherine stayed outside for a while and didn't come back until she was sure the second half started. Actually, she would choose to leave the match and texted Ethel, but she had to stay to talk to Ken.

"Catherine, why did you run? Did I scare you? Was it anything I did offending you?"
Catherine took out her phone and saw the message from Ken with a string of angry face emojis.
Catherine smiled, and there was another message which read, "If I win, have dinner with me."Then she knew he wanted to ask her out. But Catherine wouldn't agree. Imagine the rumor they would spread when Elliot came to her in public!
Besides, Catherine saw both Iris and Pearl. Who knew what mess they would make? If Sean heard about anything, then game over for Catherine.
The more Catherine thought about it, the angrier she was. She texted, "Unavailable."
Anna asked with a tentative tone, "Isabe, what did Elliot want?"
"Nothing."
"He seemed mad when you ran away."
"I'm not running away. I had to go to the bathroom."
Ethel said, "Catherine, it's your fault I got humiliated in public. Elliot didn't come to me at all. I thought it was odd since he didn't know me."
"He will if you meet him multiple times," Catherine said.
Cecil said, "Catherine, is he trying to ask you out?"
Catherine cleared her throat and said, "Not at all. It's impossible."
Anna said, "Nothing's impossible. You're Miss Gorgeous and performed that breath-taking dance. You're a celebrity now."
"And Elliot was hosting the show that night."
The more Ethel, Cecil, and Anna thought about it, the more likely it became. They all looked at Catherine for more gossip.
"Stop, you girls. I have a boyfriend."
"But Elliot doesn't know."
Few knew Catherine had a boyfriend, and he was the most popular professor at Kings College lately.
"Stop. People have a wild imagination."
Sean's wrath was the last thing Catherine wanted to face.
For one thing, Elliot wanted to win badly since he was a competitive man. And he was thinking about taking Catherine out to dinner. So he exerted himself in the second half and won a lot of scores.
During half time, he gave Catherine hot looks again.
"Elliot is looking at you."
Catherine bent over, pretending she didn't see it.
What a game! The audience enjoyed it a lot. But the computer team lost 4 points behind the corporate management team.
Elliot couldn't be more depressed. Losing meant he couldn't go out with Catherine. He didn't care that Catherine never agreed to his invitation. To him, she said yes.

Drinker of the Yew: A Necromancer's Tale
Updates Once a Week next update 10/5 Wracked with misfortune, a nameless village along the edge of the Gray Spine rejoiced at the arrival of a paladin. Those celebrations, though, turned to wary tension as the paladin brought an unknown into their midst - his wife Nayinis, who wears the markings of a necromancer. Who is this woman? Why has she come to their village? Nayinis divulges her shadowed past, for she needs the village's trust to defeat the powerful foe that she has been summoned by the divine to face. What to expect: This is a slow-paced, dark, epic-fantasy book written mostly in an archaic first-person style, remniscent of fariy-tale at times. I am expecting the final product to be close to 600-700 pages. The first few chapters introduce a somewhat-steep learning curve of names and mythology of the world that plateaus at aroud chapter 5. The End
There are five days left. The End is a miracle 10,000 years in the making that will free all from the confines of the world. The gods will soon be born. There is nothing that can be done about this. Not a webnovel, but a screenplay, submitted as my dissertation for my screenwriting degree. Sort of experimental. I have learned that I dislike writing screenplays, but all the same, I thought I'd post it anyway so it's at least worth something that way.
