The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 600

One week passed, everything was fine, and there were no anonymous letters.
Catherine didn't care whether the person gave up or not, but she felt good as long as she was not disturbed.
Catherine got used to college life. As a college student, she took some lessons during the day. And in the evening, she usually talked with roommates or drew some pictures.
Besides, Catherine bought some clothes to make her own clothes though she didn't do it very well.
Sean came to Kings College every Friday. On Friday, he usually took Catherine out for a candlelight dinner and then went back home together.
On weekends, Sean always stayed at home to accompany Catherine.
Generally speaking, those days were not too dull for Catherine.
Soon, it was the end of September. Kings College held a welcome party for first-year students.
Traditionally, every department should prepare a program.
Catherine was not interested in it. She just heard from Ethel that Madison would perform at the welcome party.
Catherine's student counselor had encouraged all of the students to have a try. Those who took part in the talent competition needed to pass the student union's interview first, and then they would get the opportunity to perform at the welcome party.
Ethel was excited when she knew it and participated in the talent competition; however, she was ousted.
To everyone's surprise, Ethel played kickboxing in the competition. It was no wonder that she was ousted.
"Hey, do you think why all of the judges listened to the music that Madison sang carefully? And they even gave her big claps. Why? Is it beautiful?"
Ethel didn't think Madison was a nice guy. She knew Madison had her own aim. Moreover, since Catherine had never talked about Pearl, Ethel thought that there were some conflicts between them.
Therefore, Ethel didn't like Madison at all.
Cecil smiled and then said, "I think her voice is gentle and beautiful. It sounds good. Thus, it is reasonable to pass the test."

"Yes. I agree with Cecil."
"And it is good for our department."
"That's reasonable."
Anna wanted to attract the attention of others, so she changed the topic, "I just heard that the hosts of the party are Pearl Johnson and the vice president of the student union, Elliot Holloway. It is said that Elliot is handsome, and Pearl is beautiful. And they have worked together a few times before."
Catherine just said yes and kept silent. She was not interested in Pearl. It had nothing to do with her.
"Who is Elliot Holloway?"
"He is probably majoring in computer. He looks pretty."
Catherine heard that and then answered casually, "Is he more handsome than my husband?"
Ethel was jealous and said, "Oh. No. I really want to punch you, my sweetie."
Cecil laughed, "Cathy, look at you. You are so musty. Don't show off. We are jealous guys, especially for Ethel."
"I can't agree with you more. We are jealous of Cathy. She gets video calls with her husband to talk and share daily life every day. Poor single men. Poor us."
Ever since Catherine admitted that Sean was her husband, she publicly called Sean or got video calls with him. Since Sean is handsome and his voice is sexy, Cecil, Ethel, and Anna didn't mind seeing him or hearing his voice.
Three of them all thought Catherine was really a lucky girl.
"All right. Don't laugh at me anymore. Come on. I want to take you to have supper."
"I don't want to be fat."
"Food makes people happy. Why not enjoy it?"
"You want me to be fat so that I won't have a boyfriend," said Ethel.
Catherine often took three of them to go out for lunch or bought something more for them. Ethel was afraid that she would be too fat.
But the truth was that Catherine regarded them as her friends, her close friends.

Catherine wished that they were always on her side.
Although Ethel was careless, she had good taste and unique insights. Generally speaking, Catherine thought Ethel was a talented person.
On the contrary, Cecil was careful and well-organized. She was sensitive to color, and she was good at drawing.
As for Anna, she was a talent in general. And she seldom talked and lacked confidence, but Catherine believed that she could change Anna.
The welcome party for first-year students at Kings College was grand. The stage and the light were beautiful.
In the afternoon of the day, some workers had been doing some testing for sound.
It must be an unforgettable party for all freshmen.
All the freshmen were required to participate in the party, but Catherine was still reading on her bed.
Soon, Ethel came into and took her out of the dorm.
"The student counselor asked us to gather at half-past six. The party will start at seven o'clock. Hurry up."
"I don't like it. Too many people and too noisy."
"Hey. Have a look. The class monitor will check who is absent. Besides, we probably meet Elliot, that handsome guy."
Catherine pressed her beating eyelids and thought to herself, "It is strange. Why do I have a bad feeling?"
When Catherine and her friends arrived, there were numerous people in the playground. Finally, they got their class.
The class monitor sighed and then said, "You are finally here. I am going to call you."
"Shall we be there?"
"Our student council is there watching you."
Catherine was walking forward.
When Catherine passed Madison, Madison gave her a meaningful smile.
"It is weird. What a bright eye! What does she mean?" Catherine thought to herself.
Catherine became more worried and thought to herself, "Generally, it is unnecessary to ask everyone to attend the party. Those who dislike can refuse."
"This is the schedule for today," some gave Catherine a piece of paper and then said.
Catherine hadn't finished reading it, but Ethel already found something wrong and shouted, "Oh my god. Isn't it true? Your name is on it. Cathy, look at it."
"What?"
"Look! The fourth performance. A song by Catherine Stewart."
Cecil and Anna also found it and turned to look at Catherine.
"Right?" asked Ethel.
"It is impossible that we are all blind. You all see it, right?"
Catherine frowned, "Is it the schedule for tonight? Are you sure?"
"Exactly. Look! Madison is going to sing All of you. She is behind you."
Catherine was speechless.
Suddenly, something came into Catherine's head.
"Hey, you just said that the host is Pearl Johnson?" asked Catherine.
"Yes. Yes. Pearl Johnson, the most beautiful woman at the university. She is also majoring in design, a junior student."
"Fuck!" said Catherine. She couldn't help swearing.
"Cathy, have you participated in the competition? I don't know about it."
Cecil recalled and then said, "I have been in the dorm with Cathy, and I can prove that she doesn't participate in the competition."
"I can't sing," said Catherine. She was in despair.
Ethel cleared her throat and then said, "What the hell! What a mistake!"
"It is strange."
Now, all the students started to discuss the programs.
Some people turned to look at Catherine and started to gossip.
I remembered that the instructor requested her to sing a song, and she claimed that she couldn't sing, but now she was on the list. Why? Did she lie?" said someone.
Catherine sneered, "No mistake. They did it on purpose."
Everyone knew Catherine couldn't sing, but she was on the list still. It was the plan.
"Pearl was just out to get me. Good. Good for her," thought Catherine.
