The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 584

Catherine shopped for one afternoon. She bought a few things and then went back home.
The second she was in the living room, Geoffrey gave her a look. She saw Sean sitting on the couch and was surprised.
"Mr. Blair isn't pleased."
"I know."
Geoffrey helped to carry the stuff upstairs. Then Catherine was in the living room with Sean.
Catherine checked on Sean. He kept his jaw tight, and she couldn't feel his emotions. Knowing Catherine came back, Sean didn't look up like she didn't exist.
It looked like Sean was still sullen. That was tough, Catherine thought.
Sean frowned since Catherine left without saying hello.
Actually, Catherine was in the kitchen, busy making juice. She made one glass of cucumber juice and one glass of watermelon juice. She came out with a tray and put the watermelon juice in front of him.
That showed how serious she was.
Finally, Sean looked up at her.
"Have some cold drinks. It's so hot."
Sean didn't respond.
Catherine got guilty and uneasy because of Sean's look. She said, "I went shopping in the afternoon and bought something to wear at school. The dresses you got me are too expensive. I'm worried I would stain them."
Sean didn't stop getting mad.
"I shouldn't have said it in the morning. Sorry. I blabbed out because I wasn't thinking. And I want to stay on campus. Hear me out."
Sean's look was too aggressive that Catherine was no match.
"This is at least one hour's drive from the campus. I can go at night. But if I have morning classes, I have to get up at six to get ready and leave by six-fifty. I wouldn't be able to concentrate in class."
Catherine was a bit lazy. But she hated to spend so much time driving. Staying on campus would be easier.

"And I might have classes at night."
Catherine looked up at him. Sean kept his lips pursed and looked better. But he wasn't fully convinced.
So Catherine mustered up the courage to sit on his lap and put her hands around his neck, saying, "Honey, I know this is hard for you. But it's not like I won't come back for a long time. I'm free on weekends, and I can come back on Friday night."
Sean bent over at Catherine and didn't say anything.
"It's just I'm still a college student. If not, I can be with you every day."
Sean was the one that rushed into the marriage. So he could declare the ownership. She became his wife and had to be with him for the rest of her life.
"Are you afraid I will run away? But I can't because my legs are not as long as yours.
Catherine couldn't help getting worried. It was so corny that she almost puked.
Sean had both hands around her waist and held her in his arms.
That meant Sean wasn't mad.
Catherine asked, "Not mad at me?"
"I'm sorry."
"I really want us to become true couples."
Sean had the urge whenever Catherine behaved so heartlessly.
Catherine shivered and said, "I'm too young."
"You're in college now."
"So, you agree?"
Sean said, "If I don't agree, you have to fight me, right?"
Catherine could swear she didn't want to.
"If you pass by my campus, you can see me. Isn't that nice?"
"We'll talk about it later."
Catherine was not happy with the answer. But she didn't dwell on it. She said, "If you get mad, we can talk it over. Don't put on a poker face. It's hard to figure out what you're thinking."

Sean frowned and held her hand to his heart. He said, "Try twice if you fail the first time. Or you try the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, and the seventh."
Catherine got weak when Sean tried to flirt.
"Why don't you wear your slippers?"
"I got worried and forgot."
Sean frowned. Seeing her innocent look, he got soft and held her up.
"What if you hurt yourself?"
From the living room to the garage, they had to pass the lawn. There were gravels on the ground. Sean was worried Catherine would have her feet hurt.
"We're in public."
"Forget about him."
Brad touched his nose and said, "Catherine, pretend I'm not here."
Brad thought he was completely being ignored. Chicks before dudes. Brad was helping him with the fight earlier, and Sean got rid of him after he had no use.
The second Catherine touched the ground, Sean brought the shoes over. Catherine put them on.
"How's the business going? Are you hurt?"
Catherine checked up on Sean carefully and even approached him to smell. There was a faint smell of blood.
"I'm okay. Don't worry."
"Really? But I smell blood."
"It's Tom's blood."
Sean would not see casino muscles as his match. They wouldn't hurt him.
"Where is Tom?"
"I sent him back. Then we leave him be."
Catherine pouted, "Isn't Linda dying to see her husband? We'll make it happen for her. But will Harlan make more waves?"
Harlan would always get Tom again.
"He wouldn't dare."
Since Harlan found out that Sophia was Catherine's friend, he would act carefully.
"But I'm worried he wouldn't drop the idea about Sophia."
What one couldn't have, one always dreams of having it. But Sophia couldn't hide in the mansion forever. She had to go to college. Harlan meant a threat to her.
"So what? I'd like to see him try again."
Fighting Blair's family wouldn't benefit Harlan. If Sean could threaten Harlan once, he would do it many times. If he didn't feel like it, he would blow up his casino. What could Harlan do about it? He had to come to peace with it.
"Are you guys done talking? I'm starved and thirsty. Can we eat?"
Brad put up with the urge to roll his eyes. But what surprised him as to how talkative Sean got.
Was it because of Catherine? Her love melted down Sean's indifference?
"I'm sorry I'm busy talking to Sean and forget about you."
Brad was choked on words.
"I'll ask Sophia and Maria. Susan, start dinner."
The dinner was already prepared. Then it was taken out on the table.
Catherine filled Sophia in. She found out that Tom was saved and got silent for a long time. But she stopped getting nervous and got relaxed.
At least, she kept her words to her mother. But the outcome chilled her heart.
Brad was stunned seeing Sophia. He said "damn" several times and couldn't take his eyes off Sophia.
"That ugly man could have such a gorgeous daughter. What did he do to deserve it? Genes are so mysterious."
Others got speechless.
