The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 580

Tom screamed out of excruciating pain.
"Sean, you can't win!"'
"That's okay. I didn't want to save him anyway."
Harlan said, "If so, you'd be left by now."
If it was what Sean said, they would leave with Sophia.
"He's not worthy of my energy and manpower."
"Oh really?"
Harlan's smile was catty. The louder Tom yelled, the more pleased he was.
"I just love the screaming that would tear your heart apart. It's so desperate and helpless. He wanted to die, but he couldn't. He had to watch as his flesh separated from his body and blood all over the ground."
"That's disgusting!"
"How so? Listen, isn't his screaming as lovely as music?"
Harlan said, "Harder."
Something fell on the ground and the stinky smell of blood spread.
Catherine turned pale and felt thousands of butterflies in her stomach.
Sean held her in his arms and covered her eyes, "Don't look."
Catherine didn't want to, but she saw it anyway.
That was a piece of human flesh cut off from Tom's body.
"Sophia, save me! I'm your father! I don't want to die!"
Tom was in so much pain that he sweated all over his body. He couldn't talk without panting. He could feel that his flesh was being cut off, and the pain was excruciating.
Sophia clenched her fists and looked away from Tom. But she couldn't stop hearing Tom's screaming. When she opened her eyes, all she could see was blood. Sophia bit her lips and couldn't stop trembling.
"Sophia, do you want to see me die in front of you?"
Sophia didn't want to see him dead in front of her. But what could she do?
Would they stop until they cornered her into the cliff where she couldn't take any steps back and fell over?

"How's the show?"
Harlan crossed his legs and said, "Isn't the show fantastic? I let you watch it for free, and that's generous. But it spoils the place."
Then Harlan took one look at the blood and felt repulsive.
Catherine was sick. The smell of blood got more and more pungent. Catherine wanted to leave.
Sean said, "Andrea, take them out of here."
Andrew nodded and said yes, Sir.
"Be good and wait for me at home."
Sean bent over to kiss Catherine on her forehead. He said, "Go home."
Catherine didn't want to stay here to watch how Harlan tortured Tom. Although she hated him, she wouldn't sand the blood.
"Sophia, let's go."
Sophia didn't move.
"Sophia..."
Sophia looked up at Catherine and said, "Catherine, I..."
Sophia wanted to say she couldn't just leave Tom be. No matter how much she hated Tom, Tom's life was still a life.
Catherine said, "Sophia, you can't have a soft spot now. Trust me, Sean will help him."
"He..."
Would Sean really save Tom?
"We'll only drag him along if we stay here. Don't you realize your presence is the reason that Harlan tortures Tom so freely? He wants to make you give up on him."
What a scheming man, Catherine thought. He had so many tricks.
"Okay."
"Follow me, and Andrew will take us out of the casino."
"Let's go!"
Harlan has been watching them. The second Sophia and Catherine left, his men moved. They blocked the door.
"Harlan, why break your promise?"
"I do release Sophia. But it's up to you whether you can leave the place."
Catherine was mad.
Sean gave Andrew a look.
Andrea took Ben and Geoffrey to fight their way out. They took down the men at the door, and Catherine held Sophia's hands to leave.

Harlan clapped and said, "I'm so impressed, Sean. You men are much better than mine."
Harlan's men bent over out of shame and wouldn't look up at him, in case they would be incapacitated the next second.
Geoffrey and Ben were like super fighters. Even though Geoffrey seemed like a fragile girl, she could give one of Harlan's men a low kick, and they would not anticipate it at all. Then Geoffrey left with Sophia and Catherine.
Right, they ran off.
Catherine and Sophia left the casino through the main gate.
Geoffrey said, "Mrs. Blair, I'll escort you home."
"Andrew, go and help Sean. Geoffrey can take us home. Harlan wouldn't dare to grab us at our home."
"Okay. Goodbye, Mrs. Blair. Geoffrey, you have to escort Mrs. Blair back to the mansion."
Geoffrey said seriously, "I know that."
Catherine got in the car and drove further and further away from the casino. Then she gradually got relaxed. She was so nervous in the casino that her heart was about to explode.
"Sophia, it's okay. Don't think too much. I trust Sean. He will save Tom."
Sophia nodded, but her look was weary.
She was shocked.
"If, I mean, hypothetically, we can't save Tom, that's how life it is. He has to take responsibility for the mess he made. He wouldn't make any contributions to society, and it might as well be a good thing he died."
Sophia didn't start talking after a moment, "I hate him. But I never dream for him to die."
"You're too kind, Sophia. This is his mistake. There are consequences for every action. You have nothing to do with it. We tried our best."
"Thanks, Catherine."
"Silly girl, you don't have to. I just want you to be okay."
Catherine was terribly scared that she didn't come in time to save Sophia. She was afraid nothing would change after her rebirth. She didn't want to go through what she did in her last life.
Sophia forced a bitter smile. Her mother would be disappointed that she failed to bring Tom back with her.
Catherine stayed with Sophia all the time to comfort her since they got back.
"I sent her away:"'
"That might be a good thing."
"From now on, you stay with me. The new semester will start in a few days, and we can go shopping. Sophia, this is your home."
Sophia had to think about the future.
She cut off ties with Linda last night. But she was on her own and couldn't afford to go to college. She couldn't even find a place to stay.
She could depend on Catherine, but she hated to trouble her all the time.
"Go and get changed. I don't like this outfit."
"Harlan got it for me."
"His intentions are not good. Go and get changed. I have to freshen up too. I can't stand the smell of blood."
Seeing Sophia get in the room, Catherine took her phone out and tried to call Sean.
Harlan was a cruel man, and she was worried about Sean.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
