The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 490

Catherine held her hands, "Sophia, I will help you. Don't be afraid. You only need to take the first step and leave the rest to me."
In order to make her earn more money in the previous life, Sophia's father had refused to let her go to college and had promised to marry her daughter to a rich man, who had been unfaithful in love. Linda had said Sophia had lived a hard life after marriage.
Catherine hated Linda's weakness and stubbornness, which hurt Sophia.
This time, Catherine wanted to make the people around her better than before.
Sophia sighed, "Catherine, you really changed a lot."
"I haven't changed. I'm still your best friend."
"I mean, you're back. By the way, are you all right with Sean?"
"Well, I feel like I'm getting used to my married life."
"That's good. I'm quite worried. After all, Sean is not a man who will compromise easily. I'm worried that you will be hurt."
These days, Sean was so gentle in front of her.
"Are you going to the party in the evening?"
"I will go. After all, we may never see our classmates in the future."
"That's right."
But Catherine did not have too much affection for her classmates. She ignored Sophia in high school. No one treated her well, and those who were polite to her were shocked by her fists.
The party took place at a restaurant near the school. When they arrived, the rest of the students were almost there.
Catherine saw Madison, who was sitting in the middle and smiling at a glance.
The male students were flattering Madison. Some were telling her jokes, and some were serving her as a princess.
Sophia frowned, "The headteacher said Madison was also admitted to R University. What bad luck! I don't want to be in the same school with her."

"R University is so big. Your majors are different. You will not meet her."
"Catherine, what are your plans?"
Catherine gave her a mysterious smile, "Maybe we will be alumni."
"You mean..."
"Sean doesn't allow me to apply for S University, so he'll have to arrange it."
"That must be fine."
Someone found them, "It's Sophia. The one next to her is Catherine?"
"No. How could she be Catherine?"
"Catherine's wearing and makeup are wildly exaggerated. She has a bad temper."
"How could such a pretty girl be her? Stop joking!"
When Madison saw Catherine, her face suddenly changed.
How did she come?
"Come here, Sophia."
Sophia got along well with the female students in the class, of course, except Madison.
"Sophia, is she your friend?"
Those male classmates looked at Catherine when she arrived.
"She is..."
Sophia was about to speak, but Madison spoke first, "Catherine, you are late. Sit next to me."
Hearing Madison's words, everybody knew who she was.
"No. Is she really Catherine?"
"That is to say, she is the bully in R High School?"
That's exaggerated. Catherine's rebellious behavior made her famous in R High School. If she was dissatisfied with someone, she would threaten him and even beat him.
Catherine smiled, "I'm Catherine, and Catherine is me."
Her smile stunned everyone.
"Why did my heart jump so fast? I think it's going to explode."
"Her smile was so charming."
"It turned out that she is so beautiful. She is a bully in our school, indeed."
Catherine sat next to Sophia.
Madison's smile froze on her face.
"Is everyone here yet?" The monitor stood up and asked.
"No, Marco didn't come."
When it came to Marco, Madison showed her a meaningful smile.
"Marco went abroad, so he didn't come to the party."

When the monitor contacted Marco, he was already abroad.
"Marco went abroad, so she..."
Those female classmates were looking at Catherine, and they wanted to gossip about her.
Catherine was famous in R High School not only because of her rebellion but also because of Marco. Everyone in the school knew their relationship.
Catherine said, "We broke up. I have no relationship with him."
As they approached the table, all conversation stopped. Their classmates craned their necks and stared at Catherine. Catherine gripped her drink and hoped she wasn't blushing.
"But who is she?" a boy finally whispered to his friend.
"I'm not sure, but I think that's Catherine," his friend replied.
"No way," another guy whispered. "She's way hotter."
Madison lifted her head and stared at Catherine in disbelief and hatred. Catherine smiled politely and gave a small, fake wave to her cousin. Slowly, Madison's face froze in a terrifying, fake grin.
"Catherine, you're late," Madison shouted. "Come sit next to me."
Catherine watched as Madison elbowed a redheaded girl next to her, and the girl got up, leaving an empty seat. With a sinking feeling in her stomach, Catherine took the seat and put her glass of tonic water on the table. Sophia managed to switch chairs with another girl, taking the seat across the table. Her classmates stared at her with wide eyes and then bent their heads to whisper again.
"No one needs to act so surprisedly," she said loudly. "For all of you who are wondering, yes, I'm Catherine. Okay?"
One of the boys from the rugby team let out a long low whistle, and his teammates chuckled and laughed.
"Careful," muttered one of them. "She may look hot now, but she's a fighter. She'd sooner punch you in the balls than suck on 'em, I'm sure."
"Shut up," Sophia snapped. "That's disgusting."
"Is everyone finally here?" Madison asked, raising her glass for a toast.
"Wait, no," shouted a girl. "Marco still isn't here!"
Madison shot a vicious smile at Catherine and said, "Actually, Marco went abroad."
"What?" asked one of the boys. "Why didn't he tell me a thing?"
"You'd have to ask Catherine," Madison said, her eyes gleaming with malice. "She knows more than I do."
"Oh my god, what?" one of the girls asked. "For uni?"
"Catherine, why didn't he tell us," asked another.
Catherine shrugged, "I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?" asked one of the girls who'd always been hanging around Marco. "Aren't you two together?"
"We're not," Catherine said flatly. "We broke up. I don't have anything to do with him."
She narrowed her eyes into her signature glare and stared at the people who had been asking her questions. Even though she looked different, she was happy to see that they all fell silent.
"Come on," Madison said. "They're just curious—there's no reason to be so mean. Besides, they'll think you're hiding a broken heart."
"Oh my god," said the girl on Madison's right. "Did he dump you? What happened?"
"Yeah," added another. "I thought you two were going to uni together. What happened?"
"If he dumped you, he's an idiot," said one of the guys, leaning across the table to talk to her.
"It's really not that dramatic," she said coolly. "He was just a fling, you know. Just a high school relationship. He had his dreams, and I have my own—we're just very different people."
