The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 368

Nathalia felt like in a dilemma. She wanted her mother to be remembered, yet it seemed to bring more harm to them if they remembered her.
She cared more about those living. She wanted them to be happy, and she believed that her mother would want the same. Mum was so kind and innocent. She always wanted to love and to be loved. I'm sure she shared the same wish as me.
Curt smiled and looked away. He did want to forget about the past, but he couldn't. He had met many outstanding women, but Katherine was the only one that had lived in his heart.
"Nathalia, I really hope you live a happy life. I believe your mother would share the same wish." Curt said gently.
Nathalia heaved a sigh, wondering, do people always think that what they can't have is the best? He must be feeling regretful. Then she thought of Mrs. Davidson and said, "Why don't you explain to mum? She will listen and understand."
Curt looked hurt. "I need time." There was too much guilt towards his wife he carried in his heart. He knew he had to face it one day and had only been delaying it.
Nathalia had finally understood why Curt had been hiding away. Though he was the respected Mr. Davidson, the assertive, competent leader at work, he was uncertain, even scared when confronting his own feelings.
Nathalia came up with an idea and suggested, "Let's have dinner together as a family when Spencer comes back." I need to push him a bit, or who knows how long everyone will have to wait. I wish dad could be as assertive in his relationship as he is at work.
Curt was sorely tempted. He appeared excited for a second, then he asked uncertainly, "But will he agree?" The relationship between him and his older son, Spencer, had been the hardest blockage in his heart.

Nathalia nodded and said cheerfully, "Spencer loves you very much. Though he never admits it, I knew from the very beginning." She gave him a cheeky and confident wink.
It brought a smile to Curt's worried face. He stroked her head gently, his eyes speaking of affection and love, and said softly, "I'm very lucky to have a daughter-in-law like you."
Nathalia nodded and smiled. She felt a sudden warmth swell in her heart. Is this what a father's love is like? She wondered.
As soon as the café opened officially, Nathalia had orders from lots of customers. Companies under the Davidsons and the Carters, as well as various businesses in town, all became VIP clients, ordering flowers from the café daily. Nathalia had only hired three assistants, in the beginning, one in charge of each floor.
She thought that would be enough as it would just be a place for people to come and chill. However, just a few days later, she had to hire six more people to help at the café and to deliver. It grew busy and lively at the café.
The workers at the café all grew up in an orphanage. They were young and hard-working, knowing that it was a great job opportunity for them and they really appreciated the chance.
When Lisa visited, she was shocked to see how busy it was at the café. Who would have thought that selling flowers could be so profitable?
"Nathalia, congratulations! This is incredible. Look at you, busy bee." Lisa hugged Nathalia and said cheerfully. I'm really amazed by this girl. Whatever she does, it turns successful. She's incredible.
Sophie was absolutely stunned. As if she had just discovered a magical land, she looked around with excitement and couldn't take her eyes off the beautiful flowers.

The café was designed cozily, filled with the pleasant fragrance of flowers. Sophie had fallen in love with the place and didn't want to leave at all.
Nathalia put her arm into Lisa's affectionately and took her up to the second floor. "Thanks, Lisa. But you know me. I was only thinking of having a place to chill and didn't expect to make money from it."
She didn't advertise or tell anyone except a few close friends and family. She had no idea how everyone knew even before it opened officially. Probably thanks to the paparazzi, Nathalia thought, no wonder people say news to travel the fastest in the business field.
"I know. It's a great bonus, though, isn't it? Make good use of this chance, and one day this will be the best flower shop in the States." Lisa said encouragingly. That's the way things work. Those with money and power never lack opportunities.
Compared to the bustling first floor, the second floor, which served as a book shop, was much quieter. Around the corner was a little bar that served fresh juice, tea, and coffee. There were hammocks, armchairs by the window where the sun would shine through the day. It was perfect for spending time on your own with a book peacefully.
All the seats were occupied, but everyone was quietly enjoying reading. Sophie looked disappointed, thinking about how she would love to sit by the window. Business is too good here. It's all full.
Nathalia smiled and led them up to the third floor, which was for accommodating the staff and storing stuff. There was a spacious outdoor balcony with lots of pots of flowers and plants, a mini garden on the rooftop.
Sophie exclaimed in excitement and ran out to the garden. Like a happy child, she smelled the flowers, stroked the leaves, and danced about delightfully. "Nathalia, this is wonderful! I love it here!"
Seeing how happy her daughter was, Lisa smiled contently. One just feels relaxed here. It's such a beautiful space.
Nathalia asked the staff to brew some coffee and bring some freshly baked cakes and pastries.
Lisa had a sip of the coffee and couldn't help giving it a 'wow'. "This coffee is the best I've ever had. You have a great barista! And the coffee beans! Where did you get them from?"
Nathalia had a bite of the chocolate cake and smiled delightfully. "My mother-in-law."
Nathalia didn't have much hope of inviting Sue, but she did mention it and sent an invitation. Though Sue didn't come, her personal and favorite maid, Zoe, did. And Zoe brought the coffee beans.
Lisa's face lit up, feeling happy for Nathalia. "That's great. Is she here? I shall say, hello."
