The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 362

The crowd found it amusing but dared not laugh. So Nathalia Davidson. She's always so unpredictable and witty. Spencer Davidson is indeed a lucky man to have married her.
Nate ignored the crowd. He kept his eyes fixed on Nathalia. "Why? He sounds very controlling. Are you not even allowed to make friends with other men?" He questioned a bit defiantly.
Wendy gasped, and her jaw dropped. Is this what Nate Morgan is like? Wow, he's very persistent and stubborn. Now I'm not sure if he's my type at all.
Nathalia recalled Spencer's jealous look, and she felt comforted. Gently she answered, "He is not controlling at all. But it upsets me when I see him feeling upset." Aww, I miss Spencer so much. She thought to herself and wished she was with him.
"But now I'm upset as you reject me." Nate Morgan said boldly. The crowd stared with their eyes wide open.
Wow! Isn't he flirting?! It's a bit immoral, isn't it? She's married.
He doesn't seem to care about the fact that she's married. Mrs. Nathalia Davidson has surely got her charm.
Curt frowned and narrowed his eyes. He looked annoyed. Matt noticed. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but he didn't and looked away.
"What has it got to do with me if you are upset or not?" Nathalia retorted directly and pointed at Kelly, "Anyway, Miss Kelly Berry would love to take care of your feelings." She didn't care how others would think but following her own instincts and being true to herself.
Somehow she felt that Nate Morgan wasn't as naïve as he presented himself. He's stubborn and persistent, and he's doing it on purpose.
Kelly did want to take the chance to speak to Nate again, but hearing the contempt in Nathalia's voice, she was enraged. "Nathalia Davidson, what do you mean by that?! Are you trying to insult me again?"

As soon as she said so, she heard the crowd murmur and felt like she had said something wrong. I just hate her. Every time when she's around, nothing goes well!
Nathalia rolled her eyes at Kelly and said, "I thought you have been waiting for this chance. Shouldn't you thank me instead?"
"Ha-ha." Nate Morgan laughed. "Nathalia, you are an odd girl. I'm definitely getting to know you and befriend you. I like you a lot." He loved how peculiar and unexpected Nathalia was.
Nathalia looked at Nate pitifully and shook her head.
Startled, Nate stopped laughing and asked, "Why? What's that look for?"
"I feel sorry for you," Nathalia said casually.
"What?" Now Nate was shocked and confused. He exclaimed, "You feel SORRY for me? Why?" I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I'm Nate Morgan, the heir of the Morgans! I can have anything I want. She feels sorry for me?
"Yes." Nathalia nodded sincerely. "It seems like you don't have friends at all. I only met you once briefly, and I haven't been very nice to you, most people would think, but you are so desperate to make friends with me. I guess your wealth and power can't guarantee you happiness at all."
Though people had learned very well what Nathalia was like and her comments and mannerism had shocked them so many times that they had grown kind of immune to it, this time, they were still shocked.
"I... you..." Nate Morgan stammered, too stunned to retort. She's saying I'm a desperate and sad man with no friends? He recomposed himself a bit and said, "Are you always so sharp and harsh?"
Nathalia replied indifferently, "Oops, it seems I've spoken the truth. Sorry." In fact, she didn't really dislike him. She actually felt that she had known him from somewhere before. However, with Nate being over courteous and flattery in public, she found it pretentious as if he was doing it on purpose.

Nate went quiet, and he actually looked a bit hurt.
Nathalia was taken aback by his response or the lack of it. I was only guessing.
"Alright, Nathalia, behave yourself." Curt interrupted. "Yes, dad." Nathalia cooperated.
Curt stood up and held his hand out, "I'm Curt Davidson, nice to meet you, Mr. Nate Morgan." He said politely.
Nate shook his hand, cheerfully with a grin. "Call me, Nate, please. It's a great pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Davidson. I've always looked up to you and been looking forward to meeting you in person."
The two instantly drew everyone's attention, both charming and powerful, one mature with an air of authority, the other young and assertive. They were the same kind of people. They belong to the same group.
"Thank you kindly. I'm impressed by your talent and success, especially at such a young age."
The two chatted politely while the crowd listened with great interest and excitement. Nathalia sat herself down and appeared bored. Failing to join the crowd and the conversations a few times, Wendy gave up and sat down next to Nathalia. "Did you really only meet him once before?" Wendy asked. They were talking like old friends.
Nathalia yawned and said casually, "Yes. Why should I lie to you, anyway?"
True. I bet she can't care less. Wendy thought. She hesitated for a bit before she said, "You know what, I think he fancies you."
Nathalia was indeed pretty, but she was not the most beautiful looking one in terms of appearance. However, she was very unique and special. She was strong-minded yet gentle at the same time; she was carefree, yet she disciplined herself. She was like a perfect balance of yin and yang, feminine and masculine. That was probably why she would attract people's attention naturally.
Spencer and Nathalia have been through a lot to finally get together. Their relationship developed gradually. But Nate Morgan has only just met Nathalia, and he seems to have fallen in love with her! I mean, he must have met all sorts of beautiful and excellent girls before. What if the Davidsons and the Morgans started fighting for Nathalia?! Wendy thought worriedly.
However, Nathalia seemed very calm. She answered indifferently, "You know what, I think you are overthinking."

By 'inspiration,' I refer to mainly how the characterizations plot devices, dialogue, conflict introduction/resolution, and thought processes are used and introduced in those works of literature.
