The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 339

The more protective of his wife Spencer was, the more enraged Kelly grew. "Spencer, are you sure you are doing the right thing? Aren't you worried about ruining the relationship with our family? Aren't you concerned about how people think of you?" She questioned aloud so that everyone heard her clearly.
Spencer chuckled. "Hahaha, am I worried about ruining the relationship with the Berry family? Did you say? After what Amy Berry did to my wife, did you actually think that I give a shit to your family?"
In fact, he had canceled all the business with the Berry family and blacklisted them. It had caused a big loss and great stress to the Berries.
Now all the curious journalists pricked up their ears. Someone asked, "Mr. Spencer Davidson, would you please explain? What did Amy Berry do to your wife that upset you so much?"
The kidnapping incident had been kept a secret from the media after the Berry family paid a large sum of money and begged some authorities, and finally got Spencer to agree. Worried and frightened, Kelly shouted, "Spencer, don't try to make things up."
The Berry siblings knew they were guilty, and Herman started to regret having listened to his sister Kelly and to join her here. Shit! Now we are in trouble. He thought remorsefully.
Nathalia rolled her eyes in disbelief. Make things up?! Wow, she's unbelievable. She doesn't know my Spencer well enough at all.
As expected, Spencer said sternly, "If Amy Berry was still alive today, I would sue her for kidnapping and blackmail. Now that she's dead anyway, I will spare the Berry family. It's obvious that she killed herself for being guilty of what she had done, which I utterly despised."
The crowd was instantly excited. "Kidnap and blackmail!" They exclaimed.

"Wow, was she insane? How dared she blackmails you?! Crazy!"
"Yeah. She must be crazy!"
Everyone criticized Amy Berry, and no one even doubted if Spencer told the truth or not. They seemed to have come to a silent understanding that it was totally unnecessary for someone like Spencer to lie.
Kelly and Herman looked around the crowd, panicking. Their father had made a huge effort to finally get Spencer to agree, not to mention the incident. What the fuck! He agreed not to tell!
"Spencer, that's so unfair. My sister didn't do anything wrong. And, and she's dead now. You can't talk about her like that. Oh, poor Amy." Kelly said pitifully.
"Didn't she? Alright, let's tell everyone what actually happened and let them judge." Spencer sneered. He didn't have the intention of making it public, but now that the Berry siblings had come looking for trouble, he thought he might as well play along. How dare you come here to insult my wife?!
Nathalia tilted her head, looking at Spencer with a proud smile.
Kelly gasped, her eyes wide open. "No! I don't allow you to humiliate my sister. She was bullied and insulted by Nathalia, and that was why she ended her life...my poor sister..." she exclaimed.
Nathalia had been watching and listening quietly, and now that she was accused openly, she thought she should defend herself. "Why do you think that I bullied and insulted her? What did I actually do? Why did she come and ask me to forgive her? Kelly Berry, why did you beg me to forgive your sister and you kneeled outside the classroom with her, didn't you?"
Kelly was dumbfounded by Nathalia's questions. "I, we..." she stammered angrily.
Spencer shook his head in contempt. A nobody she is. She's too incompetent to ever think about hurting my Nathalia. "Justice speaks. I suggest you not to come near us again." Spencer said plainly but threw a warning glare at Kelly and Herman.

The couple left the Berry siblings to the journalists and went home, holding hands. The bodyguards shut the gate and stood guard.
Spencer's face said tiredness, but he seemed to be cheerful. Lying on the bed, unable to fall asleep despite his drowsiness, he stroked Nathalia's hair gently and said, "Babe, remember, I'm here for you. Don't make any moves without telling me, ok?"
Lying in his arms, Nathalia felt loved and protected. "Yes, sir." She teased and saluted. "I'm really happy that you came home, and it was such perfect timing." She added gratefully, thinking he must be really tired, having mum to worry about, having work to do, and now me to take care of.
The softness and warmth of her body comforted Spencer greatly. He wanted to protect her, to make sure she was safe. It seemed like trouble kept coming after them. "I just want you to be safe." He said softly.
Stroking his hand with her fingertip, Nathalia whispered, "I know, honey. Don't you worry now? I'm safe. Now get some sleep." Her words were like a sweet lullaby, and it sent Spencer to his sweet dreamland smoothly. Nathalia watched him with a content smile and gently planted a kiss on his forehead.
When Spencer got up, he hurried to the office, got work done, and then hurried to the hospital to see his mother.
Sitting in the backseat of the car, on the way to the hospital, Spencer leaned on the window with his eyes closed, hoping to take a power nap. Just then, his phone rang.
A frown appeared between his brows as he saw on the screen that it was Emma. He answered it.
"Spencer, please ask your father not to withdraw the investments..." Emma exclaimed. She was going mad. Curt did what he said. It wasn't just a threat. Without any warning, he had withdrawn all the investments.
Without capital, Emma could do nothing despite her talent and fame or her title as Ms. Fashion.
"Withdraw the investments?" Spencer had no idea of what Curt did. He had enough issues to deal with himself and no time to care about the rest. Since their last encounter at the cemetery, Spencer had despised Emma for her selfishness and her monstrous conduct.
He wasn't surprised about what his father did to Emma as he believed that she deserved it. However, he had to admit that what Emma did for the sake of love was rather frightening. She had succeeded in separating his parents, making his mother lose her memory and now ruining the relationship between his mother and his wife.
Emma didn't hear the contempt in Spencer's voice, and she complained, "Yeah! How could he do this to me? We have an agreement. He can't do this to me!" she spoke as if she was the innocent victim and had forgotten what she had done to the family.
Spencer sneered, "He has finally done something right."
"What?" Emma was shocked. "Spencer, what do you mean? Are you blaming me? I just told the truth. People should know the truth. What have I done wrong?" she defended self-righteously.

The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.
