The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 332

A nurse rushed in. "Please be quiet. We don't want to excite the patient. Why don't you two leave for now, please? Let her rest alone for some time."
"Mum, calm down, please. We will talk later when you feel better." Spencer said softly. It upset him so much, thinking that they were still a loving family enjoying breakfast together earlier in the morning and how things just changed all of a sudden.
"Get out! Get out!" Mrs. Davidson grabbed a pillow and threw it at Nathalia, yelling angrily.
Spencer caught the pillow swiftly and tried to reason with his mother. "Mum, please..."
A sharp pain stabbed Nathalia's heart. "Spencer, don't worry. I will go home. Mum needs some time. Why don't you stay with her and just call me if you need anything?" She said helplessly and turned around to leave.
"Nathalia." Spencer wanted to run after Nathalia, but Mrs. Davidson grabbed his hand. Watching Nathalia walk away, he wished he could hug her and comfort her. She looks so delicate and fragile.
He managed to remain patient and calm for his mother. "Mum, you should have some rest. Don't think too much. Everything will be fine."
Mrs. Davidson was holding Spencer's hand tight as if it was her last hope. "If I ask you to divorce Nathalia, will you?" she was almost pleading.
Spencer closed his eyes and heaved a heavy sigh. "Mum, you know the answer."
How had things turned this way? Who was to blame?
In despair, Mrs. Davidson sobbed and pleaded, "Not even for me, your mother?"I have nothing left now. I have no one but my son.
Spencer didn't want to upset his mother, but he knew he would never agree to leave Nathalia. She's my wife. I've made my promise to her.
"Mum, you know very well what Nathalia is like. This is unfair to her." She's the most innocent one. She's suffered so much since she was little, and just as we both thought that we could finally have a love of a family, this happened. She's strong, yes, but it doesn't mean that she doesn't need love. She desires to be loved. She wants a peaceful life more than anyone. But why? This is so unfair to her!

"Tell me, is it fair to me?!" Mrs. Davidson cried. "For over twenty years, I've suffered so much all because of her mother. If you do love me, you should listen to me..."
"No, mum." Spencer had to interrupt her to reason with her. "It's not because of Nathalia's mother. It's because of dad, who has been irresponsible. Mum, Nathalia has always loved you like her own mother, and you know that. You are breaking her heart, treating her this way."
What happened over twenty years ago had nothing to do with Nathalia, and she was definitely not to take the blame. As for Nathalia's mother, Spencer respected her, simply because it was she who had brought Nathalia to this world.
"But, but, but as soon as I see her, I think of her mother. It's torture to me. Don't you understand?" Mrs. Davidson defended helplessly.
She couldn't help wondering what Nathalia's mother looked like, what had happened between her and Curt. Curt loves her so much, but why didn't he marry her? Why did she marry someone else? Did Curt know about Nathalia before Spencer married her? How does Curt feel when he sees the daughter of the woman he loves? Does she remind him of her? These questions and all sorts of guesses bombarded her mind. It was driving her mad.
Seeing her tortured and painful look, Spencer couldn't bear to argue with her anymore. He hugged her and comforted, "Mum, hush, hush. Don't think. Don't think. I promise you everything will be fine again."
"Will it? Really?" She sounded so weak as if uttering another word would take all her breath.
Spencer sighed in despair. Is this fate? Is this a joke God is playing with us?
Nathalia walked out of the gate of the hospital, turned around, and looked up at the sky. She said to herself, "Such is life, Nathalia, always unexpected, filled with surprises and challenges, but you don't give up. You never give up! Keep your chin up. Keep moving forward. Stay positive!"

As she finished her little speech, she gave herself a smile to encourage herself.
Just then, Spencer came running out of the gate. "Nathalia, oh. I'm so glad you haven't left." He stopped in front of her, breathing heavily. He had been running fast, hoping to catch up with her.
Nathalia patted his head and giggled, "Silly Spencer. Why are you running? And how's mum? You should stay with her."
Her bright smile magically swept away his worries. He held her hand and said gently, "She's fallen asleep. Let me drive you home." He had been so worried that Nathalia might be hiding somewhere, crying alone.
Sometimes, life played a joke on you so suddenly that you would not know how to take it. You would feel so helpless, especially alone. However, whatever happened, Spencer had promised never to let go of the hand he's holding. To him, that was the love of his life, more precious than his own life.
Nathalia understood his worries though he didn't mention it. "I can manage. Don't you worry? I don't want you to get too tired..." He will still need to come back to the hospital and stay for the night with mum. It's already been a long day for all of us. It's probably the most difficult for him in such a situation, being caught in the middle, with mum and me at each side.
One was his mother, who had raised him up, who had suffered, who was helpless and fragile, while the other, his wife, who he loved dearly, the one and only.
Nathalia was pleased that he came running after her. It had already shown that he cared, and there was nothing she would complain about at all.
"I know you can manage, superwoman." Spencer teased. "But I insist. Come, shall we get dinner together? We didn't even have time for lunch. And I will take you home after dinner." He smiled sweetly. It was so comforting that Nathalia felt her heart-melting.
She nodded and said cheerfully, "We shall."
However, just as they were about to leave, holding hands, a bodyguard came running after them. "Mr. Spencer Davidson, Mrs. Davidson, has awakened and is looking for you. She's, umm, she's very upset..."
"Huh?" the smile on Spencer's face vanished. It's only been ten minutes. Why?
Nathalia was worried too. She kissed the hand, holding hers, and said, "Go and see mum. I will be fine. And keep me updated."
Spencer kissed her affectionately and left with the bodyguard.
Everything happened so suddenly. Nathalia frowned at the thought.
A car pulled over close to her. Is it Curt? Nathalia thought. She was wrong, and when she saw that it was Matt, she was rather surprised and even a bit displeased.
What the hell is Curt doing? He's the one that's needed here the most! It's like he just threw a bomb at us and hurt everyone, and disappeared.
"Hey, Nathalia, I heard that Sue's in hospital. I've come to visit her. How is she?" Matt asked in a hurry.
He's quick. Nathalia thought.
