The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 324

Mrs. Davidson tried pushing her away but failed. Nathalia went on pleading with her.
"Huh! Aren't you a superwoman?! Superwomen don't need food." She retorted sulkily. I do wish she was not so wild and strong-minded sometimes. She should have asked for help instead of doing everything on her own.
Nathalia could hear that Mrs. Davidson's anger was fading, so she took the chance and went on persuading, rubbing her head on her shoulder like a little girl. "Mum, please. Spencer told me that you make great creamy chicken spaghetti. I'm so hungry!"
"Spaghetti?" Mrs. Davidson was a bit taken aback. She rarely cooked, though she had learned for Curt when she was young.
"Yes." Nathalia at her pleadingly. "Spencer said you used to make it for him often. Come on, mum, I want it too, please. Please."
Mrs. Davidson was no longer angry. She patted Nathalia's head gently and said, "Alright, alright. I'm not sure if we have the ingredients, though."
A smile lit up Spencer's face. My babe is brilliant! Hahaha. He thought proudly. "I will make sure we have all the ingredients you need!" He added quickly.
Mrs. Davidson rolled her eyes at both of them and went into the kitchen. She got the pots and pans, the chopping board and knife ready while Spencer and Nathalia helped bring the ingredients.
The young couple intended to stay in the kitchen and help with the cooking, but they ended up making it more of a mess than offering help and was 'kicked out' by Mrs. Davidson, who was actually enjoying the cooking now.
Nathalia made some coffee while Spencer and Curt sat in the living room, watching TV. It seemed rather incredible. Spencer was thinking. It's about five in the morning and we, the whole family, are at home together. This had never happened before, and it was something that he had always dreamed of when he was little.

"What's your plan?" Curt asked.
Spencer had a sip of coffee and said, "An eye for an eye. Why? You want to help the Berry family?"
Surprisingly, neither of them sounded angry or annoyed despite the subject. There was an enchanting peace in the room.
However, Spencer did mean what he said, that he would get revenge. How dare she have the intention of hurting my wife?!
Curt rubbed his forehead gently and said, "Will you listen to me, though?" My son is exceptional, capable, talented, yet a bit too wild and stubborn.
Spencer shook his head and said briefly, "No."
Curt looked at Spencer quietly for a while, then took out a token and handed it to Spencer, "This is for you." He said plainly.
It was made of gold. On one side was carved 'Davidson' and the other 'Dark.' Even just the presence of it emitted such intense power.
Spencer was surprised. He held it in his hand, turned it around and around, observing it in deep thought. "Are you sure?" He asked, finally.
The token was the key to the dark force of the family, and it had been a tradition that the head of the family kept it.
Most people knew that the Davidsons had the Estate& Energy company as well as the E-Net Group, and their business spread all over the world, but few knew that they also possessed great power in the criminal underworld, the Gangdom. And that was the real reason why the Davidsons had survived and stayed strong for generations and generations.
Normally, the head of the family would only pass it to the heir when he was about to pass away and explained all the rules and authorities. Hence, Spencer was very surprised that Curt was giving him the token, the key to such great power so early.

"Why?" he asked. Holding the token in his hand, he realized for the first time his father did love him and care about him very much.
Curt didn't explain but suggested sincerely, "Please don't put yourself in danger again. Don't let your mother worry." The gap between them had expanded so much over the years that Curt found it unnatural to express love. He could hardly remember spending time alone with his son, having a talk like a normal father and son.
The thought saddened him deeply.
Spencer had a mixed feeling of love and reproach. "Now you think about mum. Isn't it too late?"Why didn't you love her better?
Curt knitted his brows, stood up, took a look at the kitchen, and said, "I shall go now. Take care."
Nathalia hurried to him with a new pot of coffee and said with a cheeky smile, "Why don't you stay for some yummy spaghetti? Have you tried mum's cooking before?" She asked rather casually, but the question stunned Curt. He didn't know how to reply.
Nathalia winked at Spencer, implying him to help, but Spencer bit his lips and shook his head. Just as Nathalia was about to take Curt's arm, Spencer quickly stood up and grabbed it himself, "Come on, dad, stay." He led him to the table, and both sat down. Curt looked puzzled.
Nathalia made a cheeky face at Spencer, and Spencer rolled his eyes at her helplessly.
Mrs. Davidson carried a tray out. There were three plates of inviting looking spaghetti. Spencer helped put the plates down on the table. The spaghetti looked perfectly cooked, the chicken tender, and the source creamy. It smelled so pleasant. And there was a bowl of salad.
Nathalia's face lit up. She would love to dig in straight away, but politely, she placed a plate in front of Curt first. Surprised, Curt looked at her for a while. Nathalia reacted casually and put the second plate in front of Mrs. Davidson.
"I only prepared three servings." Mrs. Davidson said plainly, thinking of this cheeky girl, what is she plotting now.
Nathalia replied with a grin, "No problem. Spencer and I will share one."I'm so hungry. I can even eat two plates, but it's so good to see everyone at the same table!
Spencer passed Nathalia the fork and said, "It's all yours. I'm not hungry at all."
